North Creek Lodge was the perfect place for me and my mutt :) for a recent ski patrol training weekend. Melissa and Jerry and their staff were so accommodating and the location was perfect to get to Gore. I will be back for sure. The rooms were clean and the restaurant and bar were well run and perfect. Best part besides all of that ~ no #meangirlsonskisallowed <3Noteworthy details: Just down the street from Gore

During our recent one-night stay at North Creek Lodge near Gore Mountain, my son and I had a mixed experience. We arrived around 5 pm and were greeted warmly, with a swift check-in process. The lodge offered a deli service at 7 pm for guests to make sandwiches, which was a nice touch.I inquired about breakfast timing, hoping to eat by 7:45 am as we planned to reach Gore Mountain early. Initially, I was told breakfast would start to be put out at 7:45 am, but then the staff kindly agreed to begin at 7:30 am so that my son and I could eat and head to the mountain early, which I thought was very nice of them. Unfortunately, this promise wasn t fully met. When we arrived at the dining area at 7:45 am, the area was still dark and unprepared. We returned to our room and came back later to find that breakfast was just being set up. We managed a quick meal of toasted bagels with cream cheese but left a little later than planned, which was disappointing, but so be it.The lodge staff, including the woman who checked us in and other family members, were pleasant and friendly. However, our room s condition was less than satisfactory. It initially looked nice, but we soon discovered several dead flies on the floor and had to kill three more. The bedding was also not very comfortable, leading to a restless night's sleep for both my son and me. And honestly, while I wasn't planning on showering as we were heading home straight from the mountain, there is no way I would after seeing that bathtub. We stayed in a 2x double bed room, and one of the beds had no box spring. It was evident the floors were not vacuumed.Given these experiences, I am hesitant to return to North Creek Lodge if I visit Gore Mountain again. Although the staff were nice, the issues with the room cleanliness were significant drawbacks. I would likely explore other lodging options in the area next time. My overall rating for North Creek Lodge would be 2.5 stars.

My boyfriend and my self sayed 2 nights and had the most amazing experience ever. The room way so nice and clean. The food was good. Melissa the owner was so sweet and took good care of us. We went in after they closed and she offered to cook us food even when she was closed. She is so sweet. She gave us good advice on different things we could do because it was our first time. We are planning a trip next your and bring our son.Safety: We felt very safe staying thereFood & drinks: The food and drinks were really good and great prices

The room was clean but lacking a hair dryer. No wash cloths. One USB port on a small table. None near the bed. All that being said the room rate was low. So we got what we paid for.The bar and dining was excellent. Generous drinks and homemade food. Delicious!Breakfast was equally great. Scrambled eggs and bacon made to order and brought to the table. Plenty of juices, coffee, bagels, muffins, etc.Mobile station was about 5-6 miles away.

Even though they were experiencing issues with hot water, they checked us in and advised it would "be resolved by next day"...that never happened we had to take COLD SHOWER. We left the lodge and requested a full refund...and they charged for one night even though they knew they had no hot water. AND they had 1/4 of a roll of toilet paper in bathroom....WOULDN'T RECOMMEND AT ALL

We did not enjoy our stay at this motel. Two very uncomfortable double beds in a broken down room was not worth $280/night. The pictures on the website do not accurately reflect the room. The vinyl floor and paint in the bathroom are peeling. The window shades do not block the light. There is no deadbolt or chain on the door. The room was not clean, with garbage under the beds. No cleaning service during our stay. The woman running the morning breakfast was extremely rude to us and others, yelling at guests who were asking simple questions. The motel is 10 minutes to Gore mountain. But we would never stay here again.

Had given 4 of 5 but made a complaint about $37 for small 2 person nacho and buff wings and was told they had the lowest price in town.....NOT....My family and I left Sunday. It had rained and my wife woke in the middle of the nite to dripping water. We found a small leak with water on the floor that we cleaned up and notified the hotel after leaving. I suggested some money back but the manager suggested his maintenence found no leak even though there are water marks. He seemed to suggest this never happened. I advised his next patron after rain will reiterate. Okay place if no rainPOOR management

This is a motel that charges premium hotel prices $250+ per night (Dec 2022). The rooms are inexpensively renovated, clean, and with good heating. Nice scrambled eggs for breakfast. On the negative side, the bed sheets are synthetic, the beds were in disrepair, garbage was not collected, and breakfast/dinner were running late. The cheapest drawers. Location close to Gore ski lifts is what drove the price premium.

I stayed here on 8/30/23. It was a one night stay, and Melissa, the owner, was a wonderful host. She made sure I had everything I needed. I would recommend this place to anyone. Top notch, thanks again!Rooms: My room was very cleanSafety: I wasn't concerned at all about my safety at all.Food & drinks: The food was excellent

Talk about good people. That's Melissa the owner, the lodge location and proximity to the mountain are all generally good but the care and comfort from Melissa was second to none. I will be returning anytime I'm going to gore mountain for sure. She helped my brother get rental gear cheaper than from the mountain ski shop and when I got a flat tire she called around and helped me find assistance at an affordable rate. Can't say enough good things.

Very bad experience:1. The 3.5 star rating on Expedia is misleading. With the 3.5 star and corresponding price, it certainly sets your expectation... and then disappoints you. This lodge is max a 1.5 star.2. The room has no air conditioning, the air is sticky humid, the synthetic bedding material is hot. We were bitten everywhere, not sure by mosquitos or other insects, could sleep only 3 hours a night.3. Breakfast choices are few and cheap. Feels like food is rationed and you're watched over what you eat.4. The lodge is in the middle of nowhere. No staff there for check-ins after 9pm. It's too dark to walk around in the evening.5. We booked 2 nights stay. Although it was non-refundable, we just stayed 1 night and searched for another place the second day.

I treated my wife's father and family to dinner on Father's Day at the Black Mountain Lodge restaurant. The mangers were very welcoming and kind. Great service! The food was fabulous. The cook really knows how schnitzel should be done, plated and was paired wonderfully with red cabbage. The portions were great and the price could not be beat! Definitely one of the better priced restaurants of the area. I will definitely be returning for more food and fun. I suggest if your anywhere in the area to stop in and give it a try you won't be disappointed. We had a table sitting for 9 and had plenty of room.

We booked here last minute, and we were not disappointed at all. I really needed to do online homework that was the most important thing, and free wifi out here is a blessing. The food from the restaurant in the lodge was so yummy! I had a homemade turkey dinner, and that was really what my body needed after hiking and camping for a week. I love potatoes and because we came in on the late side the cook went out of her way to make me fresh mashed potatoes! My boyfriend had a mushroom swiss burger and said that it was delicious. Finding out the ground beef was locally farmed was even more tantalizing to him. The room was nice and cozy and immaculate, and the blankets were so soft it was like being in my bed at home. The shower was nice and hot with great water pressure, and the ac was perfect on low not too hot not too cold. They also had a complimentary breakfast of fresh sausage and eggs, and of course, I had to also have one of the fresh homemade blueberry muffins. We love the love put in this place, and we look forward to booking here again next year. Oh, I almost forgot the other part that stuck out big to me, and that was that they are so very eco/green friendly! We appreciate all you did for us thank you for being everything we needed in one spot!

Very pleased with our stay at North Creek Lodge. Clean, spacious, updated room, modern effective heating that doesn't make noise in the middle of the night, speedy WiFi, multiple items offered for breakfast. We had dinner twice, and both times it was delicious home style cooking. Good selection of draft beer and wine. Very friendly and welcoming owners. Highly recommended.

This place was great to stay at for a trip up to Gore. The owners were so friendly and accommodating and really made you feel welcomed. Food was amazing, much better than i would have expected. Rooms weren t necessarily glamorous, but they had what you need and even had extra space heaters for those cold nights. Would highly recommend this place and would love to stay again !

We stayed 2 nights with a family of 5. 12/30 and 12/31. The owners were lovely and welcoming. Our room was clean and well appointed. Warm comforters and plenty of towels and coffee and creamers for the keurig! We dined in the restaurant for New Years Eve. The food was delicious. Everything we needed for a ski trip! Thanks for the hospitality!

This is only a review of the restaurant as we have a vacation home in North creek. We were very happy to hear the restaurant was open and a close drive for us. We had Nick serving us, very friendly and accommodating. Burgers were delicious! and the chips were homemade and crispy just how I like them. Pizza wasn't fantastic but we are from Jesrsy so kinda fussy about that however the next day cold it was very good. We will be back. Best of luck to the new owners.

Don't plan on getting here after hours. I called to verify with the Lodge that we would be able to access our room if we arrived late since they do not have a person at check-in 24/7, and there's no reception or open wifi. They assured me they would leave the keycard outside. Of course, we get there, no keycard. Turns out they not only switched our room without letting us know, they did not leave a card for the new room either. Everyone makes mistakes, but you would assume since we had to spend the night in our car they would offer a refund. No. We had to request one from Melissa the next day, who was apologetic and did agree to a partial refund for the night, still kind of a disappointment. But then we never received the refund.

My family and I spent the 4th of July weekend at this lodge and I must say, we were very pleased with our stay. We were so pleased, we decided to stay an extra night. The rooms were comfortable and cozy. The new owners took ownership as of January 2020 and they were truly amazing. Very friendly people who made sure we were comfortable and happy. The food was amazing and so is Sharon :) Continental breakfast is included with your stay and the food did not disappoint. From pancakes, to eggs or omelets, the food was terrific. This lodge is very accommodating and the prices are very affordable. The owners truly went above and beyond to make sure our stay was the best possible and we will definitely be returning for a future stay before the end of the year. You will not be disappointed!

Great customer service in every way! Melissa keeps everything running smoothly and everybody happy! This lady works so hard to be sure that the needs of guests are met! Daily breakfast included sausage, eggs, toast, bagel, cereal and juice. Coffee in restaurant and in room.Leah, the cook, is a wonderful personality. She pitches in wherever needed. Her food is fabulous! Stuffed manicotti, nachos with tasty chili, great burger . Leah made us feel so welcome.Tanya keeps everything shiny clean. We enjoyed her stories of life on her farm with bulls, turkeys, chickens, peacocks an animal rescue resource for the area.Jerry is the handy guy, contractor. He put together an awesome Saturday night bonfire. We stayed for a week and had a great stay. Nice bar too! Highly recommend!

This is by far one of the best experiences staying at a hotel I ve ever had. The owner was so kind and accommodating while we were in town for a wedding. We truly lucked out with this spot. If you have the time deff pop into the pub and talk to the owner if you can, she ll keep you laughing! I can t wait to come back for winter season. Thanks for everything!

Stayed overnight during our northeast road trip vacation. The lodge was clean and had the "lodge in the mountains" feel that we were hoping for. The little restaurant was perfect and they even went out of their way to accommodate my gluten free needs. The staff were lovely and we had an overall fabulous experience. This is not an expensive resort, it is a mountain lodge and perfect in what it is! We will stay again!

I LOVED this place. My boyfriend and came up for a couple days to visit Gore Mountain. Very awesome place, the owners (?) Were super friendly, the bar was good, breakfast was good, and such a cool place. We came up when it was like -13 degrees and was very skeptal at first, however they provided a space heater that heated the whole room up. Will definitely be booking again.

We were staying at the lodge and decided to have dinner here since we lost our outdoor reservation in Lake George due to rain. BEST decision ever!! The food is beyond good. Coming from NYC it takes a lot for me to pull out my phone and start writing a good review. The BEST chicken wings I've ever had .. hands down! We had a Greek salad (fresh, more than enough for 3 people), crispy chicken sandwich, lemon pepper chicken wings and teriyaki chicken wings with a side of chili cheese fries. The fries were again enough for 3 people and was addictive! That good! The service friendly and excellent. Highly recommend this place if you're around Lake George area.

Well decorated, well appointed, warm room. We stayed in #12 for a spring ski trip. Hoping to take advantage of the on site restaurant for both nights but we decided to try BarVino on the 2nd night stay, which was a good choice. The room needed better upkeep and didn t warrant the price per night but we made it work. With some adjustments this motel could definitely rival the best the area has to offer. The owner was kind to allow an hour late check-out. We had a pleasant stay.

We stayed at the Black Mountain Lodge overnight for a local wedding. The room was quaint and immaculate. The staff was amiable; they even stayed open late for us after the wedding. The bartender, Cooper, who was actually their chef, was also extremely friendly and accommodating. And, he made the best homemade blueberry muffins for breakfast the following day.
