I have found trust in a unlikely place, the Newburgh Walmart auto center. The staff is over worked and under payed. So the may seem tired or rude. They are, however, very knowledgeable and if you show them respect will take very good care of you. I got my oil changed and tires replaced with no issues.

What a pleasure. Ordered four tires on line, made an appointment. In an out within 40 minutes. These guys are top notch and Joshua at the Check out is a gentleman and very professional.

I had a leak in my tire, they figured out where the leak was coming from and had me fixed and driving out of there in less than 30 minutes, they also explained everything to me that was wrong and didn t over charge me for anything. Both the front desk guy and the mechanic were awesome. Thank you.

Unbelievable. I mean UN...BE...LIEVABLE!!!!! How on earth do the people at the Walmart Auto Care Center in Newburgh, NY keep their job? You have a line of customers and three mechanics just sitting around doing nothing. Then one starts working and then stops. Melonie tell you one thing over the phone, and when you get there they come up with every possible excuse not to work. From the time I arrived till the time I left, took 2 hrs and 38 min to do a tire rotation, and I was the first person the store. Something that should have taken 30 min MAX.

Terrible. Do not go here. Employees are lazy and don't want to work. I made an appointment and was told I could bring in my own tires for installation. But when I arrived they told me they didn't see my appointment, then they said it's their policy that they only install tires purchased from Walmart even though it doesn't say that anywhere. They turned away the person in front of me who came in for 2 tires they had in stock that he was willing to purchase from them, but he was told they couldn't do it today. There was no one there working on any cars. The staff does not want to be bothered with working. Don't waste your time.

Do not go here. They will cost you money. I had work done on the my car 2 weeks ago. They couldn t do what I asked for my tires. However, I went to mavis to get my tire work done and now I need two new lug nuts (they are stripped) because the nimrods at Walmart put them back on wrong after they attempted to do what I needed done.

Horrible experience. My daughter had tires put on car . Lugs were not tightened properly and tires started coming off car . Went back to store and asked manager Wayne to check bolts and to retighten lugs on car . Basically the manager Wayne started blaming us for loose bolts . He told me once car leaves 4 walls of building that customer is responsible for tires and Walmart isn t responsible for tires staying on car anymore. Tried explaining to him that my daughter hardly put any miles on car for tires to be loosing on car the way they did but instead of taking any type of responsibility whatsoever or even entertaining the thought that Walmart didn t properly tighten tires immediately started pointing blame to me . Doesn t Walmart guarantee their work for a year first of all? They put tires on car yet he stated that they are not responsible for them staying tight but I am.Also told me that someone could have loosened bolts on car because of where we live not sure where manager was going with that comment ? I should have inspected lugs to make sure they tighten them correctly myself. Wayne the manager also made a couple of comments that were very unprofessional all that I have on video with his knowledge . If Walmart prides itself on customer satisfaction then i honestly don t know why they have someone in a position to make sure the customer is dissatisfied . Customer DISSATISFACTION at its best .Service: Auto tire replacement

To whom this may concern/reading the reviews, please start to read, comprehend, and take action in regards to the low-star reviews.As for my experience, I will explain how it went, start to finish. I pulled into the auto center parking lot around 12:35 pm to get a simple oil change, nothing more, nothing less. I then went to the service desk and asked for an oil change. One of the mechanics stated it ll be a little wait because he had to go on lunch. My car uses a standard/usual oil, they told me they don t carry that kind of oil and only the high mileage (more expensive) oil, which annoyed me, but I needed my oil done asap. Another employee didn t take my keys until 12:55. I was waiting to be serviced, for 20 minutes.I then walked around the store, got a few things I needed and went back to the auto center after an hour and 20 minutes to see the progress of my vehicle, and it was still not even in the garage being serviced. While I was waiting for another 1 hour and 30 minutes, I heard the employees being rude to customers over the phone, complain about the customers they were servicing, and not care whatsoever about how long each customer was waiting.So in total I was waiting 3 hours (I left around 3:20)for an oil changed and for $50. Beyond ridiculous and will never go back to this location. I would never recommend this Walmart auto center location to anyone. They need a new manager, clearly.Service: Oil change

Got an oil change here. It kind of felt awkward, and I had to wait for someone to come back to the counter to give me my keys after the oil change. Other than that it was fine (this part of the review is from 4 years ago)05/08/23 Update: This location is never open until 7. You should advertise as closing at 6 if you don't take any cars after that time. Open till 7 means you should still be in the shop, how am I supposed to pick up an order if I can't even plan around my work schedule because you aren't open during operating hours??

I ve always had a good experience with the mechanics here, especially the older Black gentleman. He s always been helpful and good. They all have been and will work with you if you re respectful and decent.

Though they were busy and understaffed my tires were done faster than I expected. Everyone was polite, efficient and responsive. The cost was great too. I can see why they are busy. They do a great job! I highly recommend them.

I ve had a bad experience with this auto care center, particularly Melanie the service manager who was very rude and sarcastic towards me.Preface to this story: I had originally purchased all 4 of my tires from this Walmart Auto Care Center for my Honda Civic and opted for the lifetime balance/rotation and the road hazard warranty.I came in to replace my front passenger side tire because there were large bubbles formed on the tire. The tire was still under warranty and I had to pay a prorated charge of around $25. All was good and well until a couple of days later when I noticed the front driver side also had bubbles in the tire. I came back and was told they no longer have that tire and they were willing to replace the tire with a similar one under warranty (my first mistake). They ended up replacing the tire with one with a totally different tread pattern! I paid about $65 for it. Thankfully I have some car savvy people in my life. After consulting with a mechanic and family they told me that you should NEVER drive a front wheel vehicle with at the least 2 different tires (it can affect the mechanics, handling of the vehicle).So I come back and explain the situation and the service manager Melanie tries to charge me full price to replace the tire that I already paid a prorated charge for! I tell her the reason I am replacing the tire in the first place is because it s a defect covered under the warranty. So I ask for the general store managers # and she says to me very rudely why would I give you the store manger s number maybe because I m asking that s why.Long story short store manager came and gave me a courtesy of 20 % off a new tire. But she did say they weren t at fault because I left the store and ok ed the work which is true because I didn t know any better.Moral of this story is please do some research and know what anyone is doing to your vehicle before you spend money (doesn t matter if it is $1) and ok any work. They may be placing you in danger and they wouldn t even warn you or give you any advice.I would definitely not recommend this Walmart to anyone looking for tire service due to the wait times, rude staff, knowledge of staff, etc. What I don t understand is how a big corporation like Walmart can even allow this place to run as it does?Be safe and don t let anyone take advantage of you.

I walked in last minute on a Saturday afternoon. They were about to close. I had driven over 30 miles to get there and coming during the week was not an option. The guys were very accommodating and replaced all 4 tires, did wheel balancing on my vehicle....all before closing!...Thank you very much.

No stars. Horrible! Reported to corporate. They should just close automotive. The female at the counter is lazy, doesn't care and yells. Curses first thing in morning because the counter had a battery on it and she had to move it. Doesn't help customers. Gentleman asked for help and if her head could fall off it would have. The only nice one in that depth. Is Williams, ice man as for the rest of them, WORTHLESS!

The staff was absolutely wonderful!! And yes they are very busy, but that's because they do great work! From the front desk up to the manager, everyone was kind, funny and knowledgeable. Tires installed perfectly, I'm happy!!

This place is the worst!!! I called the night before to see if they had my tire size in stock. The man who answered the phone was helpful told me they had the tires, no appointment necessary, I could get my car fixed during my lunch break. When I showed up it was a completely different story. I should have come earlier (I was at work), they can't take my car for hours. I walked out. Go to Raul's on lake street.

They have 2 and 4 hour waits. Left my car at 3:30 they never called back. They hardly answer the phone throughout the day. I had to go at 630 to pick up my car before they close at 7pm. I had to endure the unprofessionalism of them cussing at each other over bad work that was done on other customers cars.

Got an unexpected flat the day before memorial day. We did a quick fix but needed to get a new tire. Went to Walmart because we were closest to it and it was open. 2 men were in auto care and they were close to closing but the one guy said he would fix it for us. Turns out both our back tires were the wrong size and he said he could change both so we would stop having problems. We felt bad because these men wanted to go home but they also didn't wanna leave us stranded with a flat tire. We got the Walmart brand tires as they were less expensive but still made by one of the name brand tire companies. We shopped a bit then went back in an hour. Tires have been fine since no issues at. The men there were really helpful and we are very grateful to them.

Went to Walmart for tires. They only had one tire of the brand I wanted. Salesperson said, "you have to order them yourself." She didn't even try to offer another brand. She let a sale go out the door. I would have bought something similar to what I wanted but she dismissed me. Newburgh,NY Walmart you need to train your staff.

I pre-ordered the tire online for a Saturday appointment. First thing these people tell me is they only have 3 of the 4 tires I ordered. 2 hours goes by and they finally found the 4th tire. After waiting for 2 hours just to look for the missing tire they tell me its going to take another 2 1/2 to 3 hours just to install the tires even though I have been waiting for over 2 hours at this point. Do yourself a favor and go to another service center. It's not worth saving a couple of bucks to go through such terrible customer service. I would rather pay more and not waste 5 1/2 hours waiting for tires to be installed. I would have given less than 1 star if it was an option.

I went in for an oil change and the man at the counter was pleasant and friendly. He told me it would take awhile and he was right, It took over 2 and a half hours and when I got home I realized that I was overcharged. So now I have to make a second trip back to get my refund.

This place has excellent customer service, friendly staff and affordable pricing. However, if you are not able to arrive BEFORE they open and do not have time to wait then I suggest you pick another spot. They are under staffed and give each customer quality work no matter how long the lines are.

I didn t get a chance to be serviced but i was on hold with these bums on the phone for a half hour .....so i drive there(with a skimpy spare tire) wait in line(auto center) for 30 minutes while customers get their groceries rung up by the mechanic. So now im next i asked the mechanic if I can get 2 new tires he tells me @ 2pm nope they not taking no more cars . Moral of the story is don t f$@k with walmart auto center.

First off, it's a mechanic shop run out of a Walmart.. so don't expect to be happy with your results.The prices are definitely competitive and the employees are surprisingly pleasant, but I can't say the same for the "mechanics."I brought my car here for a simple tire rotation/balance and alignment, and I left with the car in worse condition than when I came in. My vehicle pulled very hard to the right and had a very noticeable shake at around 50 mph. Obviously frustrated, I brought it to Sears auto center and they told me never to step foot in Walmarts auto center again.They told me it looked like they just "went under there and messed around with the alignment," and that there was no way they properly balanced the tires. The worse part though, was that they never properly tourqed my lug nuts. Which would've been fantastic had I ever gotten on the highway.All in all I recommend just spending the few extra bucks and taking it somewhere where you know it's in good hands. It's not worth potentially getting into an accident because of someone else's negligence.

I don t have 0 star option..so leaving a starThey almost took 2.5 hours for balancing, rotation and oil change..I have been there waiting in waiting area observing them there were 4 spots for Woking on cars all of them were empty by the time I came inLiterally doing nothing but talking to each other definitely not about how to fix Car..Bunch of idiots running business without any idea of what they re doing
