You can t get better service. I bought a plow from Hudson River truck and trailer and have had a problem since buying it. They kept changing the same parts and charging me while under warranty. Clayton at automotive felt my pain and called Fischer for me and got it warrantied and fixed the problem. Great guys

Clay and his crew are great. Had some unexpected issues and they handled them with no problem. Clay even gave me a light for free that I didn't know I needed. He said he "didn't want me to have any problems".

If i can give a zero, I would. I came in just to program an aftermarket android tab car radio. Kenny worked on it with no problem, the labor cost was $125. Ok, I was fine with it. Kenny informed me that an aftermarket back up camera and a harness adapter is needed to complete the job. I purchased the items and return to the shop. They gave me an appointment for 8 am. I had to call at 2 pm to see if the car was ready. I go and pick up the car and charged for $291.00 and the back up camera was mounted all you car see is ground. Clay answered me with the attitude that if you buy sh*t you get sh*t. Clay also try to charge me $95 for a license plate camera, I felt that he was being greedy for money. The item can be bought from ebay for $20. Kenny, the employee, tries to make this situation right. What I don't get is why must they keep your car for 6 hours or more, instead of being honest and say that they can do your car at a certain time or day. This would not inconvenience the customer. I guess I would finish the job myself. Buyer beware, don't assume that Clay has your back. The best part of this experience was dealing with Kenny, what a great guy.

Clay, the owner, is the one who did the trouble shooting on my car audio system. He was professional, respectful of my budget and, took pride in doing his work. He did an awesome job. Thank you Clay. (2010 Camaro SS)

We needed a new radio. I spoke with Clay, who was so helpful. he took us right in & suggested a system perfect for my wifes car. He even spent 15 minutes showing us the basics of the new stereo system. Extremely fast service, from removing the old unit to completed instalation of the new unit was within an hour! Clay & his staff are very friendly. Great customer service here, that usually doesn't exist anymore. I will definitely be back for my new upgrade!Joe & Mary G.

If there was an option to give ZERO stars, I would. Had an appointment to get a starter installed. Owner promised completion by 2pm for school pickup. My wife called the day before to confirm that 2:00 was still good, and the guy gave his word, no problem. My wife got a ride and showed up at 1:50 to get the car. Owner says "Your car isn't done yet". My wife says "Oh, well I have a few minutes, is it almost done?" To which he replies "I didn't even start it." My wife says "What? It's not started yet? Why didn't you call me?" He says "I'm very busy. I don't have time for phone calls." My wife called me and put me on speaker. He then says "I can start it now, I'll have it done by 5." My wife reminds him "We spoke twice about the fact that I needed the car for school pickup. My daughter gets out of school in 10 minutes and because you didn't call me, I didn't make other arrangements." He shrugs and says "I'm only human, I don't know what you want from me." ???? I said "What we wanted was a car starter installed!" My wife said "This is ridiculous, just give me back the car, I have to go." And he says "It's blocked in, you'll have to wait." My wife went outside and asked a worker to please move a vehicle so that she could leave. I went back the next day and demanded our money back. Not once did this guy apologize, he was rude, strange and the whole thing was insane. Buyer beware.

Clay did the install of my fisher minute mount push plates for my plow and wired my isolation module 3 plug and solenoid. The install came with a high quality controller that is much better than my last one.If you need fisher products or installs, come here. Priced reasonably based on comparison, and honest by the book installs. CLEAN, PROFESSIONAL, AND HIGH QUALITY. Highly Recommended. 5 Star ServiceAnd for what it's worth clay gave me advice last season and didn't even charge me as they were busy. Great guy.

I was in the market for a subwoofer and after being given an outrageous quote by a competitor, I went to see Clay. He was very professional from the beginning and had the answers to all of my questions. He had given me a very reasonable quote and got the job done promptly. I was very satisfied with the work and will definitely be returning to for any of my car needs.

Been going to Clay since 2002 for all my after market add-on's for many different vehicles. He's a great guy and does amazing work. I've sent a bunch of people to him too, and never any issues. Excellent service and installations!!!!! Love supporting our local mom and pop type of places in Newburgh!

2011 I purchased a Jeep Compass, I went to Automotive Audio for a remote starter, they installed it and away I went, my husband purchased a plow from them, my sister had a remote starter put in her car with no problems. In June 2014 I had errands to run and while I was at my bank in Middletown with my 12 year old nephew, my brakes became very hard and the pedal dropped to the floor, I was able to move out of the drive in and I tried to head home to Montgomery, I got onto Rte. 211 and proceeded but my car would not go over 20 mph so I immediately pulled over into the Mobil station, I popped my hood and got out to open the hood and it was so hot I could not touch it, at that point I called for roadside assistance and then called the car dealer to let them know that the car was going to be brought in on a flat bed.The next day the car dealer calls me they looked over the entire car and found nothing wrong with the vehicle except that the remote starter that was installed broke off the floor board and triggered my brake switch which locked my brakes up, so when I went to pick my vehicle up I had the mechanic come out to my car and I took a video of him explaining what went wrong with the vehicle, they indicated to me that I was lucky that my car did not catch on fire. With that being said I immediately called Automotive Audio and spoke with Clay to inform him of what had happened and he said it was impossible, that someone must of tampered with it, I told him absolutely not, I drive the car everyday and never has anyone ever tampered with it, my understanding is that most of these units go into the steering column not on the floor board, I proceeded to tell him that is was poor installation and they need to make good on this and they refused to, after telling them I was going to take them to court, they agreed to put a new unit in. After a few weeks I decided to trade the vehicle in for a 2014 Jeep Cherokee, I immediately called Clay and told him that I was trading the vehicle in and he had agreed to put the new unit in to my new car, when it came time to do this the manufacturer they use has not tested the unit on this particular vehicle, this has been going on now for 1 1/2 years and still no remote starter in my car, then my sister's key ring starter died and we could not open up the unit to change the battery, I drove out to the store and spoke w/Clay and asked him to if he can please open the unit so WE can change the batteries in it, he wanted me to leave it with him and come back at 4:00, I told him that I was unable to do that, he got very nasty with me, started throwing things around his garage, I again asked him it's just to open up the key remote, he said I'm busy I can't, your going to have to leave it.After much stress from Clay, I told him that I would never refer anyone to them again, I proceeded to tell him that I wanted a refund on my remote starter and he told me absolutely not!!!! At that point I indicated to him that I will be taking them to court and left. Two days later, I received a phone call from Clay asking me If I would accept 1/2 payment of $150, after I thought about I accepted the offer just so I don't have to deal with them again. Today 10/29/2015 I had a remote starter put into my car from a different place with no problems at all.All I can say is Automotive Audio is a very difficult place to deal with and they have no customer service skills what so ever. Word to the wise, please shop around before considering them to put any thing in to your vehicle.Clay is a very rude person with no people skills at all, I am very lucky that my car did not catch fire!!!

I had headrest dvd players and interior blue lights installed. Clay did a phenomenal job. The work was clean and neat. If you want the job done right go to Automotive Audio. I'm extremely happy with the work. Thanks Clay. I almost forgot, the price is right.

Spoke to the owner (Clay) on the phone one week ago for audio install. He explained to me that he is technically closed but will give me an appointment today at 930am. I called him this morning at 9:30 in his parking lot and he answered in a very unprofessional manner hot tempered manner. I asked him why he didn t have the consideration to inform me he was not coming into the shop. I drove from an hour away. He continued to be very short and rude yelling he s closed. This is what was explained to me but made an appointment with me anyway. I would not recommend this business to anyone just based on this mans temper.

My family and I passing through from Oregon heading up to Skowhegan Maine. Our 99 Tahoe's tape deck crapped out so we found these guys online and Clay hooked us up with a decent stereo. he didn't try it upsell us on everything just gave us a good deal. I had some trouble understanding how to use the system but assumed that it was the fault with the equipment and he worked with me several times over the phone and was happy to help me when I brought the car back to his shop.Turns out it was user error (on my part) but he was great to deal with all the way throug. I would highly recommend him whether you live here or are passing through.

I absolutely hate this place. There wiring work is a sloppy mess, it's like they never heard of wire fastening. They just leave wires dangling where they lye. Last year they worked on my old plow truck, they called the main boss everything was done, than called another employee to ask if they could do more work on it after getting told no. In my opinion it's a sneaky shady business just trying to get one over on everyone who walks in. Every product inside is over priced. Lets end this off by saying the entire staff is uninformed asshats, who would be better suited doing quick lubes at a jiffy lube. You want the job done right the first time, find another place.

I stopped by Automotive Audio to get my car speakers replaced after Hollywood Sounds blew off my appointment and told me to come back another day. I was given an estimate that was cheaper than their competitor, followed by a polite handshake after agreeing to the deal. I was given an appointment for the following morning, and they allowed me to wait as they originally promised. In just over one hour, my new speakers were installed and working properly. The car radio had a bad output jack in the rear, but the shop worked around that and got all the speakers working anyway. I'll be going back next time I need work done.

Clayton has been wiring cars long before the other guys even knew what a stereo shop was. He runs a very well organized shop with employees who have been well trained by the manufacturer. I will continue to refer my customers to Automotive Audio.

I brought in a new antenna to be put in to Automotive Audio. It was installed incorrectly. The magnetic device was adhered to the cab with double sided tape breaking an audio connection. Apparently it was too difficult to place the antenna correctly in the back of the automobile, it was placed in the front instead. This made its relationship to satellite radio inoperable. So after having only having no antenna working as a result, I went to another audio place. Found out it was completely installed a wrong. Cost me double the price in the end.

The wiring was good, he installed the stero for cheap, even tuned the audio levels for me.they we're friendly and even stayed open late when he was suppose to be close 15m prior and didnt even mention it. The stero installer was knowledgeable, curtious and even when the job was turning more into a hassel then it seemed. He buggered on anyway and kept trying untill the job was done right. Great shop despite what anyone says.

Needed a wire (provided by me) to be put from the engine area to the inside of the car. The job took about 60 seconds and they charged me $25. Total ripoff. Avoid if necessary, browse carefully the marketplace before making a purchase at this facility.

I was just in the car with a family member driving to an appointment that clay told us to come to and I arrived at the scheduled time and the shop was closed. Clay picked up the phone and was so rude , screaming CLOSED IM CLOSED with a very bad attitude and vulgarity. I was going to schedule my car after I checked out the shop but now he can take a walk HOW RUDE , you made a mistake and took it out on my family member

Ordered a new plow last week. Was told it was there that day. Went to pick it up an hour away. Apl of a sudden Plow wasnt there. They said they needed till Wednesday. Called today( wed.) for pickup. Again said it wasnt ready. Im trying to make a 8k purchase with these guys but they cant seem to help themselves. They do not do what they say are going to do. I was lied to numerous times, now they want to steal my deposit. Watch out for these guys .

Reading through these reviews I see the two negative ones are are obviously bogus and poorly written. I've been doing business here for 20 yrs. and they always have done an excellent job. I've referred many people to them and everyone has been satisfied.
