Shame on Advance Auto Parts return policy for used alternators. We purchased one on 11/12 and installed it on 11/13---it did not work and we were told that they do not take returns on "electrical parts". We wasted almost $300 and are now buying a remanufactured one from the dealer---at the same price. Lesson learned---pay attention to the negative reviews---and buy from the dealer. We will not use Advance Auto Parts for any other auto purchases.

I Don't come here much...I used to go to Auto zone for Most of my Car and Truck Parts and Woww....What a freaking Difference in the Two Store Store One Look at me if I 3 Head's and Store Knew Exactly what I was looking for and Gotten What needed!!

Never a problem here, always have an online coupon too. If something needs to be ordered it's there the next day, Everytime. Polite staff too, not like the dead eye morons at some other part Zones around here. They also understand that the customer in front of them is to be prioritized over the one on the phone or the one returning something. Must have a good management structure cause these young men and women are great every time I go.

Had an incredible experience recently w/ the staff recently. Very helpful, these guys aim to please. I needed to swap out a failing (failed) battery for my motorcycle and they made the transaction super smooth considering I didn t have my sh*t together. Thanks guys I ll be returning in the future!

I wish I couldn't even give it a star. Worst customer service ever. I bought ramps at this location. Was told directly by the associate that returns CAN be done and to just clean them off if I ever needed to, along with bringing back the receipt. I did just that because they were a lot smaller than I needed. Proceeded to bring them back UNUSED, manager on duty didn't bat much of an eye except to say, "tools aren't returnable". Also, the associate that was now caught in the lie tried to point out some dust the ramps picked up, you know, being on the floor and all because they're ramps? As to the reason why they couldn't be returned. It was obvious the guy was new.Tried to call customer service, they couldn't help much, though they didn't agree that the ramps were tools. "They operate in a grey area" they say. Just tried to escalate to the store manager who also didn't call me when customer service said he would. Not chasing after these people, just will make sure everyone knows what garbage this store is.Case and point, these guys lie straight to your face. Don't expect to return anything at this location because if you try, you will be turned away. Need a parts store? Go to Autozone. They actually stick to their word.

Went there yesterday and had the worst experience ever. I will never step foot in that store again. Staff was rude and non helpful. Watched me struggle to find the headlight i needed. Watched me struggle to install it myself in parking lot. Nobody wanted to do any work! Charles very UNFRIENDLY! NEVER AGAIN!

My car battery needed replacement - car wouldn t start but once jumped it would run until I shut it off. Called the store on Wednesday night and asked if I brought car in at 730 next morning and purchased the battery could they install. Gentleman said yes, so I ordered battery online for next day. Thursday morning after my husband helped me jump start the car I go to the store and young man at counter (Steve?) said he was by himself so no way could he install battery until 10am when another employee arrives. I understand that, though was disappointed since I did ask specifically the night before. I sat in car until 7:55 figuring what to do, and went inside to cancel my order. Lo and behold another employee had just come in and was signing in on the computer. I looked right at the man and said please cancel my online order. He didn t say anything, hit a few keys and said okay it is cancelled. As I turn to leave he says softly have a good day. I don t appreciate being lied to!!! Just say can you wait until 8am when help gets here, and I would ve been fine. I called Firestone and they took me right in, installed the battery and now I m on my way to work!

Store could be good but don't go here to drop UPS packages. They told me they couldn't guarantee the package would be picked up anytime soon. They told me to go to advance Auto parts new windsor instead. I went there and then they told me they don't take UPS packages. So I called this store and they told me to come back and that they would try to take it. Why even bother accepting ups packages? I think it's just some scam to get people in the door.

Horrible customer service! They sold me the wrong part yesterday. I went back today to exchange the part and refused to do an exchange because I misplaced the receipt. They are so incompetent that they can't even look up a part on the computer that does all the work for them. All they have to do is type in your car. Yes I definitely gave them the right automobile information. Good thing I looked up the correct oil filter before installing! Go to autozone. The managers there always do exchanges and returns no problem. The one manager there will always give you a %10 discount if they gave you the wrong part or they don't have it in that store! I should have gone to Autozone on rt 300 to begin with!

I purchased LED brake lights that was required for my 2011 BMW 328. I m still getting right and left lamp malfunction, but the lights work and do not flicker. So I went back to advanced auto parts and was told to purchase load equalizer LED, which the gentleman explained why I might need it. I asked if he can assist me or show me where I can possibly install them. He told me that he was going to take care of a customer behind me, which I understand. So I waited and he never came back out to help me. I went back in to check if he was coming but now he was helping someone else. If you promise to help a customer because was confused help. Don t just sell a product and expect everyone to know everything. I m still learning to DIY. I m very disappointed.

This place is great they're always willing to help. Couple of weeks ago I bought a battery and a new alternator and they automatically carried them out to my car. I went back yesterday with the core from the alternator and after two weeks they still remembered me as soon as I walked in. Today I bought wiper blades and when I went back to have them installed, cuz I couldn't figure it out, they took no time to hurry outside and put them on for me it was great.

Very nice employees. I ordered online and they never pulled my order until I got there (they had plenty of time, I picked it up 2 days after ordering). If I wanted to wait, I would have just purchased everything in the store.

New to the area and this place is around the corner for me. First few times I went in people were nice and helpful. But I went in at 6pm on a Monday and asked if they could check my car for an engine code. They all looked at each other untill one of them said it was to late and to come back the next day before 4pm. That didn't sound right to me. So I drove further to auto zone and they came right out and plugged into my car. Took 5 minutes. Looks like I'll be driving past this place a lot.

Helpful place with a good selection. It's a hub that supplies most of the local stores so they generally have things in stock. There's also the benefit of a few of the workers are enthusiasts so they actually have a decent idea what you're talking about or looking for, it's a refreshing change.

Not very nice customer service he new we needed help with a light bulb then proceeded to tell at us be cx cause they were locked an we ripped it off he knew .because he said to us I could have gotten that for you .well he should have already k nm ow it was locked we asked himnif he know an his answer was yeah .just ask next time .well. there wont be a next time we will go to auto zone sorry not sorry

Horrible management, I could never speak to the manager, i always had to deal with "GINO" VERY RUDE, VERY UNHELPFUL, VERY NON CARING about customers like myself, he argues back, I tried being respectful with him knowing my situation on the part, he did not let me return a defective part for $200 of my hard earned money, If you plan on getting a return do not go to this place. HORRRRIIIBLEEE Experience. Please do something about GINO.

Really friendly customer service really helpful and song full in solving an issue with a battery they did not have the size battery I needed because the car was too new so they got me a battery that was equivalent and got me at a good price very real nice people

Difficult to pick up an online order. The system took a long time to boot. I had to cancel the order and re order and still never received my items I'll try again tomorrow.

If they don't have your part, they'll get it reasonably quickly. Best bet is to always go to the website first. You can even pay online, and pick up the part at the store of your choice.
