It was a big mistake taking my snowblower to them. I explained to them what I wanted done they went ahead and repaired and added parts that I never asked for to inflate the price of repairs I would think twice before using them to work on my snowblower or lawnmower.

This place is always clutch if you want dealer pricing and local pickup. They can fix almost anything and sell the parts if you do the fixing. Top shelf service with a smile. Been going here for 25 years.

Tabitha is great! They got my mower in and had it back to me in a week. That's saying something when it's mowing season! I will always bring my mowers there!

Have used them for years to maintain my lawn tractor with good results but hit a wall with them this spring. I got the tractor to them with plenty of time to be ready for mowing season. After $700 work including replacing blades and belts they dropped it back off. First time I went to use it the blades would not turn. After 2 days they came out to look at it and discovered the mechanic had left the belt guards off and the belts either where not installed correctly or would flip off the pulleys when detentioned. They looked around at the shop and discovered my belt guards and the related hardware sitting on the bench. This raised a number of questions for me:1. Who/how was this guy trained and who supervised his work? Did it get a pre return inspection by a competent mechanic or supervisor?2. Don t they test run equipment before returning it?3. If you have extra parts lying around on the bench does that not indicate a problem you should check into rather that wait a week for the customer to discover it?So the good news is they apologized and made it right. The bad news is I m now wondering what else may be messed up and hasn t surfaced yet as well as whether I can trust their work in the future. I have used them for years and had gotten very comfortable with their service. However this was really bad/dumb and was readily avoidable if they had been on their gameLesson learned for me.... be there when they return your equipment and force them to run it while you watch.

I called for my mower to be picked up 2 weeks went by. I called back and they said they didn't have my phone number. They finally picked it up, two weeks later I got my mower back it runs and cuts ok.The parts were 115 dollars and the labor is 159.95 per hour. I thought I was dealing with New York State Department of Taxation and Finance or Joe Bidens IRS. So 600 dollars later in Communist New York I can findly cut my grass. I am a first time and last time customer.

Dropped off my mower and was told that I would be contacted in one week for an update since they were backed up which was fine with me. I called the following week and no reply.. I waited another week and have them another call. Again, no response. Since my working hours are, for the most part, their open hours, I had to make plans for the following week to leave work early and meet them in person. So three weeks after I dropped off my mower, I met with them in person without receiving any sort of courtesy call or a call back. When I got there, I was told by someone that the person that looked into my mower has "went on vacation last week." And I received a "sorry" but was promptly charged $50 for their time in looking at my mower and they offered to work on it for another $150... No thanks.

Dropped off lawn mower. 2 weeks went by i called them (a courtesy call from them would have been nice) i gave them my name said i was checking on my lawn mower and was rudely told we will call you when its ready! if you didn't get a call its not ready! so i give it another week (week 3 now) this time told its in the shop! now i wait another week & a half. they say we are contacting warranty co. So i said i will just pick up my lawn mower. i was able to pick it up the same day. so they had it for over a month and didn't accomplish anything! not even a courtesy call! In my experience with this place, I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND!!

The personnel are friendly enough but 7 weeks to fix an electrical problem on a Briggs and Stratton seems extreme. It appears I paid for the technicians education as well. I won't be going back. Follow-up; The 'repairs' did nothing and through my own investigation I found water in the carburetor bowl and enough rust to plug the fuel port. After a good cleaning the engine ran fine. Should have thought this would be something a quality mechanic would have checked.

We we're hoping this place would be great, especially considering they are a "qualified"(contracted) Briggs and Stratton repair shop. Unfortunately that is not the case, after dropping our mower off and being told 2-3 weeks, my husband stopped the end of week 2 and was told the mechanic diagnosed the mower and was taking it apart further to complete the diagnosis. When I called at the beginning of the 4th week, the owner answered and said our machine hadn't even been touched yet. I actually drove down to speak with them, and the owner instantly became rude, hostile, and angry with me! After he proceeded to tell me he doesn't know what his employees were saying or doing he yelled at me to just take our mower and leave. As a business owner myself, I would NEVER speak to my customers (or anyone) in that way. The mechanic we spoke with is definitely qualified and knows what he is doing, unfortunately the owner is completely incompetent and has no idea what is actually going on in his business. Our mower has always been stored inside, and for 4 weeks, they left it out in the weather. If you need work done on a mower or small engine I would NOT take it here!!!

Dropped a mower off for warranty repair. Was told that the deck was misaligned and required adjustment. What they actually did was take two weeks to remove/reinstall the mulch plug and charge me $90 for the privilege. They also showed up at my house to deliver the mower without calling to schedule a date/time and seemed both upset and surprised that no one was home.

Paul and Mark are awesome people. Honest, informative and know their power equipment!! Wouldn't buy a mower anywhere else!! We financed a new Ferris zero turn mower, and Paul made the experience simple and pain free!

I've always had a good experience at tinkers. The staff is friendly, and they are always able to solve my problem. I have brought two mowers there and they fixed it each time. I think the prices are reasonable and they have good advice as well.

So my snow blower sat for 2 years, since we had so little snow, and was in need of some help. I called late on a Thursday afternoon and Mark said he couldn't pick it up Friday but they'd give me a call the day before they came to pick it up the next week. On Monday I got the call and on Tuesday morning Mark came and picked it up. On Thursday morning, 2 day's later, they called to say it was done. It will be delivered later today. Now I'm waiting for the first real snow. I have used these guy's before and had good experiences every time. I highly recommend them.

Tinkers got my generator running smoothly. At pickup, Paul took the time to discuss future maintenance and operating procedures with me. I will go back and I highly recommend Tinkers. Besides that, you gotta love the name.

These folks are extremely knowledgeable, they go out of their way to be helpful, they stock a vast amount of parts, and their prices are as good as or better than most places. What more could you ask for?
