My family and I have been taking our cars here since we moved here over 20 years ago. The gentlemen that work there always take great care of their customers and never overcharge like other places. Thank you as always for taking care of our cars!

Visited this Mavis for an alignment. They kept the appointment time and got my vehicle in quickly. Everyone was nice. There was no attempt to upsell or scour every inch of the vehicle for anything they could sell (which I absolutely hate other shops for). The alignment turned out well. I do most of my own automotive repair work (25 year ASE certified master tech), but I will return for wheel, tire, and related alignment needs.

The other day, I ran out of gas right in front of their entrance at 6PM. I ran to their door and despite them just having locked up, an employee came out with some gas and made sure that my car started back up. I offered to pay for the assistance but he refused. I am not a customer of theirs but wanted it to be known that behavior such as this is likely indicative of the type of caring service they provide and I will now recommend them to any who ask. I am very thankful to their kind assistance.

Always receive the best service!! I had an appointment for 930 am. Brakes, new tires and alignment. When I arrived they were ready for me. My car went right in. Job completed in under 2 hours!! The crew at this particular Mavis has always been top notch!! Been coming here for years as well as many of my family! Thank You Mo and Crew!!

Any time I go to these guys @ Mavis in Mahopac they re always on point. I find them to be courteous and professional. They also have the patience to listen to my needs for my Chrysler 300, then make valid suggestions. Once they start the repairs or work in general, I find that they take care of my car in a quick and efficient manner. Keep up the good work guys and thank you!

Great staff at my branch. Polite, no upsell, quick service. Very honest. Elderly lady came in asking for an entire tire change. Staff came out and very courteously explained that her tires were perfectly fine with plenty of tread left. They rotated them and sent her on her way. No kidding. Could of taken advantage of her like some businesses might have. Mavis knows the right way to do business. Nicely done.

Came in late in the morning as my car had a loose skid plate after a recent snow storm. They took me right in and replaced the 5 plastic rivets that had gotten knocked off from driving over snow/ice. I tipped the guy who did the work, went back in to the office and they said no charge. This place is may be a chain, but at this location it s just like the go to independent auto repair shop that you trust and don t ever fear being taken advantage of. They continue to earn my business over and over.

Always great. I needed an inspection. When I arrived, there was hardly a place to park---I thought "Oh, no--no way will they have time." But not only were they able to do the inspection, they did it sooner than I thought possible. Fast, courteous, decent prices.

I love taking my cars here. They are always friendly, knowledgeable and above all else, HONEST. Instead of getting robbed by my local dealership, I come to Mavis and they fix only what is needed and let me know when things do NOT need to be fixed even though the dealer told me it did.

My experience at Mavis in Mahopac was a positive one. I arrived near closing time with a nail in my tire. They gladly helped me and checked it. Unfortunately it could not be plugged or patched. They put on my spare and ordered a new tire that came the very next day. Knowledgeable people and caring service. They could not have been nicer to me. Thank you Glenn, Michael, Alex and Billy. Highly recommend Mavis Tire in Mahopac!

Mavis is the best place for tires, brakes, oil changes, the prices are great and they have coupons. It takes a month to get into the dealerships for an oil change. Mavis can do it as a walk in for less. I have been a Mavis customer for decades!

Very helpful and efficient! The young man with piercings was especially courteous and the whole operation was very speedy. Knowledgeable as well - their time estimate was spot on. Very highly recommended!

I always prefer to come here when I m having tire issues. The people here are wicked fast, super nice and don t gouge you with prices/services. Also, Alex was the easiest person to work with and so helpful!

I have always gotten good fair service at this Mavis. I've used them for about 6 years now.During all that time and I've never seen a disgruntled customer. Also I never had to wait long. The Reps are clean cut, courteous and intelligent. They are always busy and the vibe is much better than most places I've been. They always give me a discount and I have no complaints. They usually explain very clearly what the problem is if there is one, and have given me excellent service on my tires and other car work. I highly rate them and recommend them.

I like this place. I have used them for tires and alignments for about 5 years now. Before that(over 20 years), I used them for alignments only. I used to buy my tires from Tire Rack and my regular mechanic used to install them. Lately, Mavis is competitively priced and it doesn't pay to use TR any longer.As for Mavis, I'm told this is the ONLY privately owned store. I'm familiar with the senior owners and they were generally polite, helpful and honest. There are new owners/staff there, younger guys and they impress me the same.The shop is clean. The waiting room is "no frills", but adequate. I never used the rest room.The workers wear uniforms, appear clean and are as nice as can be. They have always done a good job for me.

I always have a great experience at this Mavis. Alex usually helps me and he is friendly, personable, knowledgeable and honest. Service is fast and reasonably priced. I will definitely be returning!

I had EXCELLENT service here today. They were so kind and so prompt. They fixed a leak in my tire. They squeezed me in even tho they were busy and I was in and out in 25 minutes. Officially recommending these guys to everyone. (And I don t mean to objectify them at all, just want to give a well rounded review... they were all really nice to look at, too)

If I could give no stars I would. This location has gone downhill on so many levels. I have brought cars here for the past 10 years. The past few times have been a headache but today Mavis has lost not one customer but many. I have a lowered car, which they have always been able to work on with no issue. Nothing has changed on the car. I have gotten tires and regular oil changes at this location.I scheduled an appointment online last Thursday for last Sunday. They called right before they closed on Saturday, well they had 2 full days to call and waited until last minute to let me know this.I made another appointment for today, Saturday and it was nothing but an issue. The car was dropped off at 11:30. I gave them a call at 1:30 asking for the status. The response I received was it is in the shop being worked on . 40 minutes later my husband gets a phone call stating they can not take the car on the lift without damaging the side skirts. (This has never been an issue before and nothing has changed on the car) When we both arrive there (I m assuming they didn t expect both of us) all the office workers were standing by the bay window eating chocolate cake and couldn t be bothered with assisting my husband . His keys were just on the counter, they couldn t even explain why now all of a sudden they could not do a service they routinely do on the same car. I decided to ask why I was told it was in the shop being worked on but yet they said they couldn t bring the car in. Why was I lied to? I m 7 months pregnant and it s 80 degrees out . I just waited hours for a car that wasn t touched . While continuing to eat their cake and not even look over, the response was try it yourself go have fun crazy .... if you bring your car here you are dealing with a bunch of disrespectful lying people. I have called Mavis corporate at this point filing a complaint and I will continue to let everyone know what has happened today.These men couldn t even be bothered to explain what has changed , guess that chocolate cake was pretty good .
