Definitely avoid this place! I had them replace my car battery and they put in one that was too small for the car and casing. My car kept stalling and died before I found out what they had done! I then had to pay more money for a different location to fix the issue. My car stalled on the main road which could have really gotten someone hurt. And this was when I was 6 months pregnant.

Had an oil change at my dealership in another city. The next day, while visiting family in the area, I smelled oil burning and saw light smoke coming from under my hood. I found the oil filter had a small leak. I went to this Valvoline, and they only needed to change the oil filter. The staff there was very friendly. They kept me informed with what they found and made this unexpected problem much easier to handle.

The white girl (manager I m assuming) there is extremely nasty and rude. Every time I go I have dealt with her. Rolling her eyes, attitude, miserable acting like everything is such an inconvenience to her. She was also yelling at the other employees and treating the car next to me the same way. Just a tip if you don t like your job get a new one because that is not how you treat paying customers. I have never been treated so poorly in my life. Not how a business should be ran and you definitely don t talk to people like they re stupid. Everyone else was extremely friendly

AVOID THIS PLACE.2 ladies changed the oil and told me they could change the transmission fluid..then show me the process on the screen. Then says oh we cant find the drain plug so taken to a dealership... Then said they could change the differential fluid.. did that and I drove home. Left for work and now the car wont start. Thanks a lot for whatever you all did. Now I am having it towed to a dealership and will make sure to report what this place really screwed up.I will never return to a place where they say they can flush fluid but really ruin a vehicle.

Got oil an oil change. When asked about greasing the zerk fittings on the chassis I was told we are outta grease. How does a facility that specializes in oil changes not have a grease gun??? The vehicle is a 2024 chevy 2500 HD diesel. The entire front suspension has greasable zerks. Guess that's not included with the 169.00 oil change

The Woman that works here that does the sales and checkout I m assuming she s a manager is absolutely unprofessional and a complete jerk when you refuse any service even when you politely say no she makes a dramatic exit throws stuff and calls you names the environment is awful for customers and other employees avoid this Valvoline and hopefully an action is taken Will no longer be a customer at this location

The manager, I think her name is Brianna. She absolutely has zero personality and walks around there like a zombie. She tried to sell us everything under the roof. We explained that the car was being traded in next week when we got back to Virginia, but she kept on reading things off from the computer like a robot. When we told her we didn't need an air, she shoved it back in the box and threw it on the floor and walked away. Just remember it doesn't cost you one penny to be nice or smile at your customers. We pay your salary when we do business with you.

Some woman that cashed me out, who was the Trainer apparently, was rude and argumentative. She charged me for a $100 oil change when I had asked for the $50 option, then proceeded to argue with me when I had just asked why it was more expensive than I thought it would be. Quick and efficient. They also check your fluids, tell you if you have any lights out and other maintenance you may need on your car. I personally was only there for oil change. I wasn't interested in other maintenance at that time.

Just got out, and I can feel the difference in my car! This was absolutely the best experience I ve ever had getting anything done with my car, and I ll absolutely be going back. Everyone was really nice and kept things professional while still keeping a good mood!! I have pretty bad anxiety, and it was really nice to have people being lighthearted with and around me for a change instead of the monotony and condescension that can sometimes come about at other places. I don t know a lot about cars, but the crew made sure I knew exactly what was going on and they were all really nice about it! The price was honestly great for the service I got. I d give 6 stars if I could!

Showed me that my battery was bad and needed to be replaced... I told them I just got one at autozone three months ago and they said it was still bad and they would replace it. Had it tested at advanced auto and autozone just to be safe. Both places said it was perfectly healthy. Brand new battery. This is the second time this has happened.I typically have to wait 1-2 hours for an oil change which isn't great.Always get a second or third oppinion. Frequent fraud

Had my oil changed there for the first time today and am so happy! The customer service was awesome. Every one of them was super friendly and professional. They topped the fluids without me asking, which I appreciate because I was out of windshield wiper fluid. Definitely recommend and will go there again!

Have had a lot of decent and/or underwhelming experiences in the past. Just had oil changed, air filter, cabin filter and new wiper blade in under 10 minutes. Valvoline needs to keep this Saturday crew together because they are knowledgeable, talented , friendly and fast! Every Valvoline needs a crew like this!

I got my oil change done and other services today at the 677 Old Liverpool Road, Liverpool, NY 13088 location and the service was exceptional. Brianna the manager was knowledgeable and friendly. Gave firm and adequate leadership to her staff and is a (no pun intended) well oiled machine. Brava to this staff. Thank you for a job well done.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Oil change

Went in with a fleet vehicle for an oil change. The girl comes up and says my battery is bad and I need wipers and she had already put the order through to the fleet management. They never asked me if my wipers were bad or looked at them. The battery terminals had corrosion on them and they tested it to that . The bill was $400 after I rejected the battery and the wipers it went back to under a 100. Had the battery tested down the road at o'reilly's tested good. If you have a fleet vehicle watch them.

Iv called twice for a formal complaint. I left from a tire rotation, oil change and inspection with 4 lights on. 3 from my tires. Asked them to fix what they made a mess with and was just shoved off both times. Have a call to the area manger.

For no time at home anymore to do my own, this place has now shown me that I don't have to do it at home anymore. I listened to other people talk about how drive up oil changes are over priced and alot of stuff over looked. Well, I've learned not to always listen. I went myself and kept an open mind.Pulled up, and it's still early April and it didn't know weather to rain or snow that day, but it didn't bother the employee who came outside to greet me. Asked how the day was and what they could do for me! Already great place. Long review shorter, everything was done professionally, friendly, and quickly. Then, my attendant asked me if I was interested in other services. I declined, and got no attitude or negativity. It was maybe 10 mins? Done, and got my bill. I paid only 3 dollars more, if I had choose to do it at home. I'm too old for that stuff, so from now on, Valvoline instant on rt. 31 is now the place. Excellent work!!

I drove all the way here from Camillus (about 20 minutes) to get my car inspected, just to be told that they won t do it because their last inspection for the day was the car ahead of me already in the garage. I had called beforehand and the lady on the phone told me they were doing inspections until 7pm and it was 6:35pm when I got there. When I told this to the mechanic (including the fact I drove all the way from Camillus), he just shrugged his shoulders and said sorry. What a waste of gas and mileage on my car and poor customer service from staff.

I was very impressed. I got in there early, so I was fortunate to have zero wait time, and even as a first time customer (with various customer details to get on file, etc.) I was all set within 15 minutes. Having air put into my tires as part of the process was awesome, a definite time saver vs. doing it myself in the February cold. They showed me the oil filter, described what was happening during the whole process, and gave me options for the oil type without trying to up-sell me at all. Will definitely return there, highly recommended.

I wouldn't recommend anyone going to that Valvoline Instant Oil Change on Route 31 in Clay NY. Store #020013. The service manager was very rude and needs training on how to greet and welcome customers. I went there for an oil change and NYS inspection and after trying to sell me an air filter that I did not need. I politely told her no. While doing the inspection I went the mechanic and reminded him to start putting on my lug nuts with fingers before power tools. This was due to another experience I had there with them cross threading the lug nut. The manager came out shouting at me with voice raised telling me that I must not tell the mechanic how to do his job. So I shouted back that I don't want my lug nuts cross threaded because of past experience at that same store. She failed my inspection after deliberately "woman handling" my wiper blades where she put a small tear in the wiper. See photo. They have just lost a customer who has been getting my autos service with Valvoline over the past 35 years. I replaced the blades in November of 2021 and stored my Wrangler all winter. When I asked her to show me the defective wiper blade I watched her deliberately pushing the rubber which further ripped it.

I realize my truck needed inspection so I drove 38 miles out of my way to go to the one in Cicero cuz I know they have four days and I'm likely to get through there in a reasonable time. Their inspector had left for the day doing an emergency, so they directed me to liverpool, went there one guy was on vacation the other inspector was mia. So they sent me to the one on Oswego road. Got there 10 minutes after they closed their inspection normally. Ryan took pity on me and took me in and got me inspected right away and on my way. Extremely pleasant and courteous .Nearly impossible these days to find somebodyservice. So hard to find anybody these days willing to go above and beyond. I normally do my own oil changes but I'll be going there to get them done from now on

While everyone was very nice, I ended up having to buy a new battery because my car wouldn't start. Then 2 days later had to have my car towed to my mechanic. I'm now using a rental car until he figures out what's wrong with my car that ONLY needed an oil change!

I ve been here to do oil changes, inspections, and Miner maintenance. My experiences have been negative each time since the only reason why I go is for convenience. The crew is not quick and always looks disorganized when I go. Each time I think it ll be a quick easy stop, I am proved wrong.Service: Oil changeService: Oil change

Put air filter in back words, broke 2 of the 4 clips to hold air filter in place closed me $ 1,000 dollars at the dealership not to mention the tow truck to get my car there, not going to Valvoline ever again

I stopped in on a late Sunday afternoon, 2/7/21, nervous after noticing something was leaking out of my car due to a stain on my driveway. Emily was so nice and reassuring that they would check it out further for me once inside after she did a quick oil and coolant check outside in the cold and snow flurries. Once I was in the bay, she and Peter did a thorough check of all fluids and he found some oil leaking a bit due to the cap below not being on as tight as it should be so that might have been the culprit. Their time and effort was very much appreciated! I have always been impressed with the staff there on every previous visit as well.
