Ten thumbs up!!!I am beyond grateful for the professionalism, customer service, and care that Davidson Ford of Clay provided to me when I was faced with a major engine failure in my F150. After trying for two years to resolve the issue with another local Ford dealer (who refused to address the issue when it was under the original factory warranty), I went to Davidson Ford for help. Everyone from the service manager, service advisor, general manager, and support team, went to bat for me and after three months of effort, finally secured authorization from Ford Motor Company to replace the entire engine at no cost to me. Not only was Davidson Ford persistent and diligent in getting the authorization, but they provided me with a beautiful loaner vehicle the entire time, brought me a replacement key when I locked myself out, and delivered my vehicle right to my doorstep when service was complete. My truck is now running perfectly!I never realized how important a car dealership could be in protecting you when things go wrong. The previous dealer I worked with told me my vehicle was out of warranty when it wasn't and refused to address the issue. The other dealer could have cared less that I could have been left stranded with a three-year old truck that I owed a lot of money on.Now I know that working with the right dealer can make a crucial difference in making sure vehicles are serviced properly and that consumer rights are protected.I have told everyone I know about the amazing service and help Davidson Ford of Clay offered, and I am telling you too, they are the BEST!

It was a very satisfying experience. All staff are very kind and explain things very clearly. Very convenient with my schedule, very accommodating with my schedule and loaner car was available. They delivered my truck and picked up my loan car during my business hour. They fixed all my cars issues correctly first time and explained things well to me the customer. Would highly recommend.

I totally understand why these guys have the best ratings for a Ford dealership in the central New York area. I worked with William and I went in thinking I need to have my water pump replaced because another location told me so. These guys took my truck in in the morning. Did a full compression test checked everything out and it turns out my water pump is perfectly fine. They let me know one of the clams on the radiator hose may need to be replaced within a year or two, but nothing as major repair service as a water pump.So instead of a possible 600 service that I didn't need, I just needed to pay a diagnostic fee and that is well worth the peace of mind to have as I start my holiday travels.They were professional, cordial and highly communicated the entire time I was there. The weight room itself was great. The building is nice and heated. I will 100% come back when my truck needs more service or repair and if I was selling client to buy another Ford later I'll be coming back here.William, I thank you as a fellow coordinator/ project manager, I wish you and your team the best of luck in the next year.

This place is beautiful.. state of the art.. convenient location.. but the service and employees are AWEFUL!!!!!!9am: oil change appt. Simple.10a: I was told there was a camera recall that needed a "quick update".12:30: I told staff I needed to go (I had 1pm work meeting).1:30: I ask for an update. The woman who signed me in wasn't at her desk, but 2 other service guys were. I asked them for an update and one replied "you'll have to go find Tammy". I replied: Do you want me to go wander the floor? They literally wouldn't get me an update. I ended up getting a ride home.4p I was told they would be dropping my vehicle to me. An hour later no one comes.. and now I'm late for 5:30 dinner reservation.All for a simple 9am oil change???

My experience with Davidson Ford from start to finish was not like most with a car dealership. Our salesman, Matt Rupp, was wonderful. Very laid back, up front and honest with every detail so there would be no surprises, not pushy, and just overall such a nice guy. Sales manager (I believe) Aaron, was also great to deal with. Everything went smooth and there was no pressure. LOVE my new Ford Explorer!

If looking for a new vehicle at Davidson Ford, be sure to reach out to Jordan. He just helped me move from one lease to another with ease. His knowledge of the inventory, the process, and his welcoming demeanor made it a very positive experience. When this lease is up, Davidson is the first place I ll go. I highly recommend it.

Couldn t be happier with the outcome of my vehicle! The techs there are amazing and kept going to get it done, I was updated everyday on what was going on as well! I will for sure bring my vehicle back to this place if anything goes wrong. I am very satisfied!

If I could have given no stars at all I would have. My issue started back in November where my truck was having issues with not starting. We were told that it was the module and that it wouldn't be covered by warranty. So we went ahead with the repair. Which took 3 weeks to get it back when the process was no more than a 6 hour job. Fast forward to January the same issue reoccurs and now we are out of a truck. We made an appointment which we had to wait 3 weeks in order to get in so we brought our truck in on February 21. We gave them a few days before calling to see if they have any information on what is going on. Were told our advisor was Bill and that he would call us back. We kept trying to call and get ahold of someone after that but a week and a half went by no word from Bill or anyone else letting us know whats going on with the truck or what repairs would be needed. My husband reached out to GM Jeremy and he let my husband know what was going on after having to reach out to the advisor and the ones working on the truck. Initially we were told by Amy or Tiffany I can't remember which one that the repair would not be covered by warranty so at that point we just wanted out truck to be fixed and released so i said ok go ahead with the repairs. Fast forward we were then told that they were able to word it differently so that the warranty WOULD cover the repair and upon pick up we would just have to pay the $100 deductible. Now it comes time to pick up after we have waited a day shy of a month for our truck to be done we get in there and our bill is $400 and some to pick it up. Safe to say I would never bring my vehicle back. After being told two weeks in that our truck was not a priority because there was other people who had appointments (forgetting that obviously we also had an appointment on the 21st of February and no one was reaching out or returning calls) was a slap in the face if you ask me. Also, spending close to $400 on rides at $20 per night 5 days a week with no offer of a loaner car of any other type of help with saving some kind of money being that they had our truck for so long. Not to mention my husband being told to hush as he was stating how he felt when picking up the vehicle was quite rude on Amy's behalf being that he wasn't cussing or saying anything threatening he was expressing how irritated he was with how we were treated and how long it took for us to get our vehicle back. There was no type of urgency to try to get our truck done and a severe lack of communication when it came to letting us know what was going on.

Terrible experience at Davidson. Went in for a inspection and oil change only. I told the person I only wanted a oil change it was never told to me they only have the combined package. It was never said "are you sure you don't want the tires rotated. Your paying for it anyway". 92.11 I paid. For a oil change. Can you imagine in this day where things are outrageously priced. They are sneaky and unethical. Told me they would take care of me next time. Like I'd ever go back. Beware find another place.I believe that's incorrect they wanted to give me a 10.00 coupons which I've recently said no thank you too. I called 4 other Ford dealers. All if them offer 2 packages. Oil change and oil change with tire rotation. The dishonesty from Davidson leaves me to never return and pass the advice to others.

Great Sevice -I left my car for an oil change, and let them know I was going on a 300 mile trip. They went the xtra mile to check things over and verify that my car was in good shape for the trip- for the price of an oil change. They are up front about pricing. I expected to pay a diagnostic fee for a concern I had, which turned out unfounded, so the fee was not needed. From the first visit have always been able to ask questions and express concerns, which they take the time to address. After this experience I have the confidence that I can walk away and not worry that I will be charged for something I didn t need.

My entire experience at Davidson was wonderful! Starting with customer service, Kaleigh was so responsive, friendly, and professional. She got a car transferred from Oswego for me to see. On Monday, they had the exact truck I was looking for! Matt was so great to work with. He explained everything thoroughly and was honest with his sales. Couldn t speak higher about my first impression and whole experience. Looking forward to getting my service done with this shop as well. Even my dog loves this dealership!

My car was hit while I was at work and I needed it repaired due to quite a bit of damage. I was able to get my car into the shop quick. They were thorough and made sure they all of the damage was addressed and fixed. Alexis, Ben and Phil were amazing! I will be returning in the future should I need repairs! Thank you for all your hard work!

I brought my F150 for a simple oil change. I made it a few miles from the place and lost oil pressure. I returned immediately and after they looked it over, the sales manager told me they did not put enough oil in my truck because the pump filling it malfunctioned. Apparently they didn t not check the dipstick before letting me leave the first time. I was not given any money back and was just told to call if any more problems arose. I will not be returning here for any future services.

So pleased with my buying my new to me 2022 Ford Escape from Davidson Ford. Matt was great! Walked us through every step, no pressure, very knowledgeable and made the decision very easy to make. Financing department, Eric, was wonderdul also.This was our second purchase from Davidson. Will definitely return when in the market again!

ive brought my vehicle there for servicing twice now, and both times its been a bad experience.first time, i had multiple electrical problem, except when they called to inform me what was wrong they hadnt checked one of them and wanted to charge me another 150$ diagnostic fee to look into it. then didnt call me to let me know that the repairs where finished.second time i had had my regular mechanic service the vehicle but they where unable to source the part (thank you ford for your anti consumer practices). told davidson what part had been identified as bad and they replaced the wrong partnever trusting them to touch a vehicle again

Frank was super informative and very helpful with our latest transaction. Davidson Watertown is at another level in car sales where Davidson Clay fails.

By far the worst service experience I have ever had. The staff is unresponsive, dismissive, and borderline rude at times. It is very difficult to get anyone to pick up the phone, return a message, or provide status updates on your vehicle, and the lead time to make an appointment can be absurdly long. I brought my Maverick to Davidson for a check engine light diagnosis, and not only did they initially misdiagnose it, but once they made the correct diagnosis, failed to order the part they claimed to have ordered. Instead, I wasted my time with them installing other parts they knew were not going to fix it, and despite it being their misdiagnosis, made no attempts to expedite the repairs. It took 4 months and 5 trips to this dealership to correct a simple EVAP-related sensor failure under warranty. I do understand that they don't have control over backordered parts, which did happen in my case, but had they diagnosed the problem correctly and actually ordered the correct part in the first place, it would have been completed much more quickly. I also would have been more understanding if I felt like they had an interest in customer satisfaction and ensuring my problems were taken care of. All the while, the staff did not seem to care at all about the situation, and wouldn't even respond timely to the Ford corporate customer rep I had been assigned. I will never return to Davidson for any reason, and I would caution anyone else on bringing their vehicle here for service.

I had a great no pressure sales experience. I went in knowing exactly what Ford truck I wanted. My salesman Matt Rupp was on top of everything. He communicated with me very well. No haggle price and the finance manager was very cool and didn t try to upsell anything.I will buy from Davidson Ford of Clay again.

i did not buy a vehicle from davidson, but my truck was sent to this dealer for some warranty work. the dealer i bought my truck off could not get in contact with anyone knowing anything about my truck. i called and still nobody was able to help me. i had to drive down there just for them to tell me they haven't pulled my truck in. now my truck is still sitting in their lot and the dealer i bought from still cannot contact anyone. they said they were gonna have to drive down there themselves just to get a question answered. its sad. i shouldn't have to drive there to get a question answered that can be done over the phone. the lack of helpfulness is ridiculous.

I just bought my 2020 Ford Explorer at Davidson Ford of Clay. Jordan and Aaron made the experience both easy and efficient, and they were both personable, courteous, and extremely competent. They explained features that I otherwise would have either overlooked or had difficulty understanding without looking them up. I got a great vehicle at a very competitive price, and the process went smoothly. The buying process is something I've never been fond of, but my wife and I were both impressed with the ease and speed with which we were able to complete a process that we were NOT excited about.

I highly recommend this dealership to anyone looking to trade in their current vehicle for a new or used Ford. They gave me well above what any dealership in the area could offer. The process was super fast and easy. Much different than anywhere else I ve been in the past. Everyone there was very friendly and welcoming. Ask for Jordan if you want the best vehicle buying experience out there. I can t praise him enough for making this process so smooth and easy. You guys are awesome! Thanks again for everything!

Not terribly happy got my new ride found out it was broken the next day set appointment to get it fixed it was throwing codes before I got it and they covered it up then said the fix would take 4 hours and it took 7 then they didn't keep us appraised of the situation because you know didn't have any plans at all except to wait for a car we just paid $26000 for 10 days prior to be fixed, I was going to go back next year and get myself a ride (this one is for my wife) but I think I'll go somewhere else.

Booked a recall service appointment over a month in advance, dropped my Bronco off the evening before the appointment and they got me all signed in. At the end of the appointment day I got a call from the same person that got me signed in who told me that they can t do the work on the vehicle unless there is an active problem. These people have no regard for your time or how inconvenienced you are. No one could ve told me this prior to the appointment? Also, tried to buy my Bronco there, but there was limited selection and inflexible pricing. I went to Buffalo and got exactly what I wanted for significantly less $$. Not impressed, and I won t be back.

Sales went smoothly.Delivery did not go so well.1. Fresh gouge out of rear door, which had to go back in to be repainted.2. Heat shield falling off, which had to go in to be fixed. (Apparently a common issue)3. Brakes apparently were not inspected and changed during pre-delivery inspection (per service manager while in for heath shield), still trying to make an appointment to get replaced, but I don't get calls back.This is all within 1 week of purchase.

He walked me through different options, and got me settled on what worked for me. We got home yesterday with our new 2024 Ford Super Duty. We special ordered it for pulling a 5th wheel camper. A good friend that has owned several towing vehicles recommended Doug Jean and Matt Rupp as truck experts. In August, we sat down with them to configure a truck designed for heavy towing. Their advice was crucial as we are first time 5th wheelers and were not aware of what options are required. Once configured, they placed the order and gave us the highest priority order allowed by dealers. The purchase process was simple. They then showed us all the features and gave us enough information to make it home. We ve never seen so many friendly people at one business. When we ordered it, we had a 10-week-old German Sheperd puppy with us. Puppies are somewhat unpredictable and of course he made a small mess. Before we could do anything, their staff jumped into action and cleaned it up for us. Turns out many of their employees are dog lovers too. Any future vehicle we buy will definitely be from Doug and Matt at Davidson Ford of Clay.
