Completely beyond the pale how terrible the customer service is here. Even if you have an active BMW warranty, they will simply NOT honor it - even when you read them what it says word for word, and they agree with you what it says, they come up with outlandish reasons that your coverage does not apply. They say they value your loyalty, but will offer you none in return.

The customer service is severely lacking in the service department. Pete specifically engaged in unethical practices by telling me they fixed my maltrain malfunction/check engine light issue only to learn that after I picked up the vehicle that the computer was never reset. When I brought the car back not only did they charge me for an additional diagnostic for an issue they already diagnosed but tried to charge me for labor to reset the computer. I ve had my vehicle serviced at HB for four years but due to Pete s shadiness I will not be returning nor will I ever purchase a bmw from Habberstad.

I bought one X5 and leased one 540i from Habberstad but I d give the Service Dept. zero stars if I could. Brought my 540i in for regular service. Late in returning it, then discovered that my Weathertech mats were missing after the car was washed. Been calling for two weeks and no action. No one even returns my calls anymore. Taking my business to Freeport.

I had an oil, oil filter and engine air filter change a few months ago. After that, my car was turning on the engine light when weather was cold. I couldn't figure out what the problem was. I thought there was a problem with the heat sensor. because the error code was showing this. I changed the timing chain of my car in a different service about 3 weeks ago. And I saw that the air intake pipe between the engine and the engine air filter is not stuck and not fit. straight air was entering the engine. it could have broken my engine. The engine light was turning on because cold air entered the engine without filtering . I noticed the problem and now my engine light is not on, it has been fixed. i am complaining about this problem. I have pictures

Absolutely appalled at how they handled the service visit for our BMW X3 2011. We dropped it off with a check engine light on, and $1,400 dollars later, it is now undrivable and worse off than before we left it here. I also feel that they fully took advantage of my 18-year-old son, who dropped the car off, made the appointment, and picked it back up again.They did not test drive the vehicle or even bother to check it out before calling us to come to pick it up. My son arrived when they said it was fixed, paid for the service, got in his car to turn it on, and realized the check engine light was still on. They did mention that there was no guarantee, but why tell us the car is fixed and have us come pick it up?He drove off to get gas and realized that the hood latch was not properly closed and had to go back there a second time. How can you let someone drive off with their vehicle without checking this?On top of that, he tried to use the 10% off service coupon on their website as he was paying for these repairs out of pocket, and they told him no.I called the service representative myself and left a message regarding this matter, and I have yet to receive a phone call back. I now have a car in my driveway that we are scared to drive. It makes a loud screeching noise and starts to shake when you press on the gas.Service: Auto maintenance

Terrible service center that nickel and dimes its customers. S.A.s have poor communication with customers and won't offer solutions to fix their vehicles just charge multiple $229 diagnostics fees(Huntington) and then squeeze them more on loaner car fuel.Stay away and go to a good indy shop as service manager there is unprofessional. Btw I bought the car from Habberstad..go figure.

Please be cautious @ Habberstad service. I brought our X3 in for a simple recall. Turned into a nightmare. They damaged the infotainment system (nav,radio and phone). Then had our car for 52 days! Claiming it was pre-existing and wanted us to pay the $2800 to fix it. They refused to show us its error code prior to them performing the recall. Every week I would call or stop down to check on its progress. My service advisor was great, but his hands were tied because of upper management s games. After 2 months they still wouldn t provide an error report or any pre-existing error codes, I called BMW corporate for assistance to resolve this issue. The next day Habberstad told me to pick up my car or they were going to report their loaner was stolen. 1 star is generous. They are incompetent and unprofessional. I would never use them and I strongly suggest that if you do use Habberstad, pay very close attention to their service because they use fraudulent tactics. I switched over to competition BMW to fix this problem and was very happy that they re honest and forthcoming with information. Never going near Habberstad or their other dealership in Bayshore.

I brought my 2015 BMW M3 in for extended maintenance and warranty. I specifically told Pete Mitchell I didn t want to pay out of pocket for anything and I wanted any maintenance or warranty. I paid 3500 for maintenance which at the time I did not no warranty wasn t added to my car. I went in January to service my car due to a noise coming from the brakes. Kevin advised me Pete wasn t in so I spoke with Kevin and he told me the back plate is hitting the rotors and to change the plate is around $2500. When I asked how much the plates would be with out installation, his response was a lot . Long story short I fixed the issues myself. Now from my experience if you have maintenance on your car bmw should fix any brakes and rotors issue. From the time I had the car (2017 to present) no brakes or rotors were changed they only did the basics oil change, train flush, wipers changed. All these little changes I could ve done rather than paying an extra 3500 for extended maintenance and no warranty. Pete Mitchell is the worse!!!!!! Never did any break jobs to my car in the past 4 years. Please I repeat please do not go here and waste your money. They re more adviser that would be straight forward with you rather than beating behind the bush. Thanks Pete now I have to pay 2k out of my pocket to change brakes which you guys never did at huntington BMW. I live in the Bronx just to go all the way to Long Island to get screwed out my money. Pete Mitchell you are a disgrace to BMW!!!!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Bought the 2018 430xi used from them with $3500 worth of extended warranty. Few weeks later the coolant hose broke , which has been a common problem i noticed in forum. The part was $100 and they charged me $950 for labour. They told me extended warranty does not covers it. Advisor is Peter Perspall who tries to sell you alignment all the time . Sales man Damon Morse. The car is still having problems even after repairs. Please avoid them. Thank you
