After purchasing my mtb from here I did some street riding and personally decided that I d like to go with a little more street friendly tire than the knobby tires that came with the bike. On the day I took delivery of my bike was the first time meeting Justin he is a true gentleman and treated me with nothing but kindness and respect which goes a long way. My second visit without a second thought I KNEW this shop would be the only shop I d be taking my business. I told him what I wanted and without a doubt he made it happen ordered what I needed. As soon as I walked in Justin greeted me like we knew each other for ages what more can you ask for?! His mechanics got to work right away who by the way are just as friendly and helpful. They walked me through the entire process gave me advice mind you I only went for a tire change I felt like I was at a Ferrari dealership getting my Enzo serviced lol. Hospitality at its finest!!! All said and done they went above and beyond for me and I m sure they do the same for all customers. Without a doubt I would refer this bike shop to any of my family and friends or anyone on here looking for a trust worthy place to take their bike for service/upgrades, looking to purchase a new bike or any parts Justin will get it for you even if they don t have it in stock. Thank you Justin and team for making me a happy customer.

The owner of the shop is a really nice and trustworthy guy. He quoted me a price for bike repairs and then found several additional items in need of fixing during the repair that he threw in for free. Highly recommend.

Awesome shop had my bike delivered there today shipped in fashionable timing. Bike was delivered at 11:09 am I got a call at 3pm ready for pickup friendly staff, Justin is great in customer service as well. Cashier and mechanics are nice.

I typically commute 13 miles to work everyday for the past 3 years. On Friday September 29th during that horrible rain storm I was charged $64.09 to replace a damaged rear inner tube. Typically costing me $25.00. While I was waiting for the service man to finish, I overheard the salesman taking a customer's credit card information while on speaker phone and bragging to his service men of charging this man who said he owned a construction company $200.00 to fix a the chain and front flat tire. Apparently ripping off customers and unprofessional behavior is business as usual for this company.

I'm OBSESSED with my new bike!!! This store has amazing customer service from start to finish. They have soo many options to choose from and make sure you get exactly what you want and need in your bike. If your looking for a new bike shop, look no further, you will not regret the kindness, helpfulness and expertise of the staff in this bike shop. I will be coming back here for all my biking needs!!!!!

I have to say genuinely and honestly one of THE BEST customer service experience I ve ever encountered. Justin was extremely patient and accommodating when I was hesitant with my purchase. He assured me he s an honest guy and stands by his word and he truly is. The girls who took my order by phone were extremely courteous and patient as well. I would highly highly recommend purchasing any fitness equipment from here. I purchased a treadmill and when I received it, they delivered and put it together and weren t messy either. They did a great job and the prices were extremely fair and definitely less than their actual worth! Monster machines! Thank you Justin and his team for being patient with all my shenanigans and going out of the way just to provide customer satisfaction. I will be recommending your place here on and will be making more future purchases.

Had an amazing experience. Justin was so nice and personable. I chose a bike with him, he helped me add accessories, and the turnaround time was fantastic. He remembered me when I came in and got me my back ASAP. The bike selection is great. They get a few in every day and they sell out in the same day so get there quick. You can also ask Justin to order one of the ones that are not in store but ordered to be in the next day or two.Highly recommended!

SouthShore Bicycles is a great establishment - Justin has been around for many years and he s very friendly and has extensive knowledge of bikes and the industry. His prices and services are by far much better than many of the neighboring stores. We like his store and offerings so much that every time we go in we end up buying more than one bike.Go in, give him a try you won t be disappointed.

Great shop to deal with. I called mid-week looking for a particular model and spoke to Maria. She followed up with me the next day to confirm they had it in-stock. I wasn t able to make it in until the weekend, and luckily they still had it when I went there... it was even still boxed from shipping. She was a pleasure to deal with, and they assembled it for me in an hour while I waited. I watched her and the rest of the staff help incoming customers quickly and efficiently. I couldn t be happier to deal with a small business that follows up with their customer contacts via phone, and then provides great service in-person. It s a crazy time in the bike industry right now, and I was very pleased with how they helped a new guy getting into the sport. Thanks again- I will be back.

I had an amazing experience with this bike shop. I bought 4 bikes. They have a good selection of bicycles. Justin and stuff are great. They made me feel comfortable with my purchases. Gave me personal service. When I called other store they told me 2 weeks to buy a bike and three weeks to get a repair. Here immediate gratification!!! Very cool!!!!

Amazing service. I had an unfortunate accident and immediately brought my bike to South Shore to assess it. Justin was attentive and assisting from the moment he saw me. They thoroughly inspected my frame for any damage and then were able to have my bike back to me by the end of the day - good as new. I will be coming back for my bike needs from now on.

Alex is the BEST, I brought in my Breezer Uptown 8 bicycle that was damaged by Hurricane Sandy 9 years ago and they were able to get 7 of my 8 speeds working. Alex mentioned giving it time that they 8th gear would return and sure enough it has. I will say it was a bit more pricey then their competitors but it was well worth it. They were able to resurrect a rusted out salt rotted bicycle sitting for 9 years and get it back up and running in its original condition. If you go to this shop mention this post and maybe their will give you a 10% discount. It doesn't hurt to ask and I recommend this shop to all my friends now, Good Luck!!!

Vey skilled and experienced bike mechanics. They work hard on the holiday weekends when you need them most. These guys remind me of the mechanics at the high end shops in NYC. (Sids, Toga, Bicycle Renaissance etc...). Justin is not only hidden treasure of knowledge & expertise but is also arguably the most pleasant shop owner in the entire area...

Justin went out his way to get the bikes I wanted at a discount price after having had a misunderstanding several weeks ago. He also installed a rack on my SUV and added two bars (to mount two Electra Townies) at no extra charge. I am as satisfied as I can be. He certainly deserves 5 starts plus!

Since most fun places are closed and most of my DJ gigs are outdoors and in parks this summer I decided to purchase a bike. I have no intentions on becoming an expert speed racer, I just wanted something to stroll around the parks with every now and then. lol. After searching all over the city for a bike suitable for someone my height (6'5), I finally came across a bicycle shop that was able to help me out. Big Thanks to the staff at South Shore Bicycle and Fitness for not only giving me a few options to choose from, but being patient and letting me take the bikes on a test ride before choosing. They also made all the necessary adjustments for me to make it a good fit. Keep up the great work and the awesome customer service.

I would give South Shore Bicycle 10 stars if I could. I live in Ct. and was visiting Long Island when a gear I recently had fixed in Ct for $65.00 broke. I was going to wait until I returned to CT. to have them fix it a third time when the second cable snapped. South Shore fixed both cables and my odometer for a third of the price I payed in Connecticut and they did an amazing job and they are extremely nice and really care about the customer.

Sorry! I was at Minuteman Press right next to the bicycle store. Minuteman Press has been in business for 48 years. Family run and owned by two generations.

If it was possible I would have given no stars at all.I used Justin's (owner of South Shore Bicycle and Fitness) services to move a treadmill.After Justin and I had a verbal agreement the move will include no stairs, I was surprised the movers disagreed to move the treadmill beyond the garage into the house (where there is not a single stair).When I tried contacting Justin to figure out the source of this misunderstanding (I even offering his movers who talked to him I would pay extra to finish the job appropriately), during my 2 min conversation with Justin, I was shocked with his rude response which included *swearing* and *threatening* taking away the treadmill.While Justin had so many ways to solve this situation, he chose to take the low route.I am extremely disappointed and regretful for using his service.

Went to fox bike. They told me ut will be ready in one week. Went a week later, told me is not ready yet. It will be ready in an hour. Went back anhour and a half latet, told me that i need 2 nre tires, but it wad too late, so it would be ready next morning. Next morning it wasn t ready, needed 5 more minutes. 30 min later it still wasnt ready. Owner super rude. Finally bike eas ready. Looking for another place that fixes bikes

Sooo.. After crashing and flipping over the handlebars of my old bike..I needed a new one.. Walked in... Place was jammed packed... Even though they were super busy I got personal assistance.. They set me up with a Manhattan.. I joked it seemed a little feminine for me.. Let me tell you guys..I rode it this morning..14 miles and it was like riding a luxury SUV.. Stop by you won't be disappointed.. They fix everything too.. The repair section was fixing bikes like 3 every half hour.. Don't be frustrated with the wait.. You will be taken care of.. Prices are good also..

What I was immediately disappointed with , was I forgot the previous bike shop had moved to Lynbrook....These guys at South Shore told me the previous owner wasnt in the business anymore. I'm sorry guys...If they would have been honest I might have entertained the idea of doing business. Sorry guys show some integrity!

They charge $5 to fill your tire with air even after purchasing a product. Do not let your children be subject to such preditory practices. Save your money and buy your tubes elsewhere because this is not the mom and pop you imagined supporting.
