They were so helpful showing me problems about my car that needed to get fixed and temporarily fixed the issues so I could get them fixed. Got my oil changed filled everything I needed wiped my windows very very great spot

They didn't put oil in my truck. Before I realized that is what happened as zi live close to the this business, I ended up taking it a mechanic..Finally I figured out what happened and the manager of this business said it they were no longer liable because the mechanic assumed liability, despite he didn't check oil because the scan showed a sensor. This manager is a blame shifting jerk and approached me with an attitude when I was nothing but calm until that point. I plan to tell wveryone about what a drag he is. He could of at least been professional.

If I could give it less I would!!!!! This review is long overdue! They broke something on my car which caused oil to completely wreck my garage and driveway! I take it to the shop they recommended to fix it & then in order to get a refund I had to argue with the man over the phone. That was AFTER I had brought it back to them & they didn t see any thing wrong Not professional & then when I came in for my refund the man who broke it was making jokes about it right infront of me. I made the mistake of not going here for an oil change like I normally do . I ran into an issue on a new car that shouldn t have happened and the place that did the oil change as well as the dealer I bought the car from were of no help ! Manager Dante and his staff were awesome to step in and help ! He explained everything thoroughly and said never hesitate to contact with any issues! More than pleased.Service: Oil change

Used Tallmens for years now for my oil changes I will never go back. They broke my oil cooler and said it was wear and tear. I would agree with that if i didnt replace it less thank a year ago.

Staff was very friendly. I felt comfortable. Would recommend highly. 76 dollars and change for oil change and filter replacement. Honda civic first oil change, sae 0W20 oil, about 4 to 5 quarts. They checked brake and windshield washer fluid. Topped off washer fluid. My car doesn't use power steering fluid. I came without an appointment and was taken immediately. Excellent communication about the process. They recorded my odometer as miles when in fact it was set to kilometers. I don't fault them for that. I took a picture of my dashboard readings in case I ever need to show a prospective buyer that I had had an oil change at the correct odometer reading. I would not hesitate to go back for another oil change. This business was highly recommended by two unrelated long term residents of the Utica area. I was traveling there.

A couple of days after the oil change I noticed a large oil spot on the driveway. Upon checking the vehicle, the oil filter was loose and leaking. I took 3 turns of the filter to tighten it, it was not even close to hand tight.After tightening the filter it took 2 quarts of Full Synthetic Oil, at $10 a quart to refill to normal operating level.Never again I have been taking our vehicles to Tallman s for several years but lately the service is lacking, service technicians work ethic is non existent and there is absolutely no excuse for such poor service.Very disappointed with the quality of service and I will not go back.Service: Oil change

Great place. 10 minutes in and out. No upsell and they will get right up under the hood if something looks, smells, or sounds off to help you identify any potential issues. Compared to most places read to take your money and run, these guys should get 6 stars.Service: Oil changeService: Oil change

I've been very happy with my service every time. I actually wish they were set up to offer more services, because I would never go anywhere else. Everyone I've come in contact with who works here has been super nice and helpful. Sure, they tell me things I'm behind on doing on my car, but they aren't pushy about it at all. I always feel in control, and like I have a choice! I highly recommend these guys for quick, efficient, and friendly service!

They were very friendly and knowledgeable. There was work being done on two of their bay doors but they still got us in in a timely manner and apologized for the wait. It really was only about a five minute wait. Highly recommend.

We came here because the dealership said there would be a 3 week wait to get an oil change. They took us right in and everything was done in a little over 20 minutes. Nick and Eric were very professional and knowledgeable. We would definitely recommend this place.

Excellent staff! Loved the window clean and air in my tires, as well as speedy oil change service. Extremely professional and courteous! They gave me valuable advice about items Tallman s Express wouldn t directly profit from. They truly had my best interests in mind, and wanted to see me keep my vehicle on the road for years to come. For only 2 guys working today I think they did a good job. Only took 40 min but only 2 guys working so that was good. 1 guy above the pit and 1 in the pit.

The guy that changed my oil, Chris, seemed distracted. Usually, I have a good experience here. However, today, he lifted the hood of my car and pulled this section of my car around my windshield up, ripping the connection it had to my car. When he finally noticed it, he said just oh, come on under his breath, dislodged it from the hood, and walked away. I am very unhappy about this.

Pricey and very picky on what they'll do for your a basic oil change. Apparently oil is not oil anymore, you'd think it was rocket science. I for one am done with them. JM

Very good service. I came at a very busy time on a Saturday but it went quickly and the oil change itself only took 15 minutes. I was impressed by the professionalism and that they filled all my fluids, reset my oil change indicator, washed my windows and lubricated all my doors. I would definitely recommend.

I received excellent service from Duane on December 15, 2020. Not only was he able to assist me with my oil change, but he made me aware of a problem with my vehicle. After a short discussion regarding my recent experience while driving, he highly suggested having vehicle checked out as he and his crew noticed a potential problem. Since the pandemic began, I am no longer driving daily, and my vehicle sits several days at a time. His opinion, expertise, service and personality were the greatest value I received during my visit. My wife and I typically get our oil changes at the shop in the winter months, while I handle the rest of year. Because of this experience I am considering making those visit more often to ensure that vehicle is able to stay on the road. Thank you Duane!

Guy changing oil complained entire time he had to be there and kept saying these people need to stay home and not come and he was ready to walk out if it got more busy. Starting flipping cause my shield had the bolts to tight yet it was done precious at the same place. Question myself that I got my oil changed as really gave me a bad taste.

These guys were extremely helpful, professional, and very fast (went during lunch break, had plenty of time afterwards). Walmart refused to work on my oil change because something was too tight for them, these guys had no issues. Will only ever go here for all future oil changes.Service: Oil changeService: Oil change

I went here a few weeks ago for an oil change. When I arrived home I noticed that my car was leaking oil. The next day it was still leaking , at an even faster pace. I went back to Tallman's, and by the time I got there, it was pouring out of my car. The guy in the pit even said as I was pulling up "it's pouring oil". They told me that someone should have called me because multiple people got bad oil changes and they were calling people to come back and fix the issue (the issue being that my filter wasn't torqued on correctly).The tech that was working at the time cleaned the bottom of my car and gave me another oil change and assured me it was a one off thing, and that the employee had been fired.I told myself I was never going to go back there again, but they talked to me and told me they'd mail me a refund in the form of a check, and also a coupon for money off another oil change. They seemed sincere, and I told them I'd give it another shot next time because of their good customer service.Here's the kicker though - they never mailed me anything. I never got a refund or a coupon, or even a letter saying anything. I've emailed them twice since then and haven't gotten a reply to those either.*Update- went in person to discuss the above issues. They assured us that it was a mistake that we didn't get our refund and that they would mail it out the next day and that again we would have it at the end of the week. Over a week has passed .. still no refund.**Update- we finally got the refund (over a month since the initial visit) and another oil change, complimentary. They were extremely apologetic and reassuring, saying that it was paperwork issues causing the refund delay. The workers on hand seem great, but there's obviously issues with how behind the scenes workings are handled.

Guy draining oil was miserable and complained and swore the entire time he was changing the oil, came up stairs swearing more and argued with the other guy working the entire time. I have been to this location many times never had a problem until now . Completely unprofessional and a very uncomfortable experience.Service: Oil changeService: Oil change

Went there 3 times. 1st time, had oil change. Next day I had no oil at all in the car. Thought maybe I hit something and caused it. So had my car checked else where they found nothing wrong and put oil in. Happened a second time. Next day no oil. That was the last time ill ever come here. They lost my business and friends and family. Ill go elsewhere.

No one there till 8:20, the day before waited 25 minutes in line with 1 car in shop. Finally just left. I bring 3 trucks and one car and I will be looking elsewhere, p.s. I have been coming there a long time, the guys are nice but talk to much and are very slow if I wanted to spend 35 minutes doing an oil change I would do it myself

Just visited the express lube in New Hartford today. Service was quick and the guys were OK as far as being polite, but at the end of the service I asked how my air filter was because I hadn t seen them check it. Thankfully the attendant was honest and said let me double check it - I didn t even look at it - and in the end it was OK. But checking the air filter is on the list of things that are supposed to be happening for that service. Also included on the service checklist is washed windows which they listed is complete. Unfortunately they never touched my windows and I didn t think about saying anything. What else did they not do if they didn t check my air filter and they didn t wash my windows? Our family goes there all the time but this time was unfortunately subpar.

My husband went to get his oil changed and they told him that he had a leak and a dented oil pan, so they wouldn t change his oil until he bought a new pan. He just had his fluids changed a couple months ago with no issues. He checked under his car and didn t see anything wrong so he went to another shop down the road. They said he had no leaks and no dents. Absolutely ridiculous.

First 75 bucks for 3 quarts of oil and a filter same as 5qt service. Second they over tightened the oil pan drain plug. For those who do not know, over tightening the drain plug can cause damage and leaks.

These gentlemen always do an incredible job. I always go here for my oil change. Not only do they know their stuff, but they are funny and friendly guys. I tip them whenever I can.

The employees here have repeatedly left my valve caps on very loose or not at all and it has caused my tires to lose pressure. I asked them politely to make sure they put the caps back on and they decided to leave all four off. I ended up buying my own and this last time I went, again, I didn't leave with all of them. An employee claimed they were never on in the first place, which was a lie because I bought them myself. They also removed clips from underneath my car to change my oil and never replaced them so there was a plastic piece making flapping sounds while driving.
