Having recently acquired a new 22 BMW m340i (and now i m broke) I was very cautious in choosing the right mechanic. I bought a AWE Suite Track Exhaust that I needed to swap out for the stock exhaust. Upon arriving, Luigi was super friendly and attentive, examined my car, and then quoted me a super SUPER fair price. The job was done perfectly (Exhaust fit on right, and my old exhaust was removed carefully in case I ever wanted to swap it back in) and done fast, but with care and detail! Luigi and his team are proper mechanics, experts, and professional. They do everything here and are super knowledgeable. You can trust these guys with your car, and with whatever problem/issue/service you guys need. Thank you Luigi and team! I ll definitely be back for all my car needs. Spent more than $4000 on unnecessary work to my vehicle. When another mechanic looked at it after, they said the previous mechanic did some shotty work and that they took me for a run for my money. Which is how I felt when I was here. I was going here for years, and the prices were fair in the past. But it's not the same as it used to be. Money is more important than honesty and quality work.

My a/c went our in 93 degree weather. I went to pep boys which was backed up, since it was the end of the day, so they referred me here. Luigi found the problem and had my car back to me the next day so i can make it to my afternoon job! he was nice and professional and my air conditioner works brand new!

I brought my 2003 chevy Van to High Grade they replaced the motor it worked great but a censor had to be changed. It never ran again. This type of Van is an electrical nightmare. A station down the block has 2 vans they can't get started.High Grade went completely out of their way to try and fix this Van. They even changed the engine again nothing worked. He bought computers he couldn't return to try it. In the end the van never started again. High grade replaced my van with a 4x4 SUVFor free. They could have put my van in the street and said come get it. N that would be it. But they didn't do that. If you have a problem with your car van truckYou should definitely give High Grade a shot. Their prices are very reasonable too. You are only kidding yourself if you think you can do better somewhere else.Services: Electrical repair, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

I noticed a slow leak in my wheel a few weeks back. I wasnt able to fix it myself so i ended up taking it to mavis and asked to have the leak fixed. I decided to get new tires as well. When i got the car back the slow leak persisted and i was told there was nothing they could do. They just threw on new tires and did nothing to address the leak and said it was fixed.I came to high grade auto repair to fix a crack in my rim that the previous mechanic failed to mention before putting on new tires. High grade auto found that the wheel mount was broken and needed to be replaced. They were able to fix the wheel with no further issues and return the car in a very reasonable amount of time. If you have wheel issues you can trust this business to fix the issue properly. I will never go to mavis tire again.During the repair i was asked if i would like to have a brake fluid and coolant flush. I agreed. I was told that the radiator was leaking and needed to be replaced. This is a very expensive job. I had already had the radiator replaced in 2022 so i decided to take the car home and have the mechanic who did the radiator job look into it. I filled up the coolant at home and couldn t replicate the leak issue. The coolant reservoir was pretty much empty. I filled it up and checked for leaks every time i got in the car to go anywhere and didnt see anything.After the work of high grade auto i finally have some piece of mind about my wheel. Its seems that the radiator is ok for now, i will have the mechanic who did the radiator check it to be sure. As of now the car is driving nicely and im happy that problem i came in with was fixed. The car is driving better than it did before because of the new wheel mount.This is a learning experience for me. I learned not to trust chain business like mavis for any type of work. Its best to always keep your receipts in a folder for any work that is done and stick to one mechanic for work you need done. Dont go to a different place every-time and stay local if you can.Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Wheel alignment, Brakes, Auto maintenance

I don t usually take time out of my day to write reviews because I m super busy but my experience with High Grade Auto was amazing. I got my BC coilovers installed on my Ford Focus st by these guys and let my tell you the customer service is top notch. They adjusted the height and ride quality to the way I wanted it to be. From start to finish they were very professional and honest. The people there are very experienced and I will be going back to get more work done.

GO HERE! I was looking for shops to get my new exhaust system installed and I am so glad and relieved that I went here. Saying that the guys working at High Grade Auto are great is an understatement. They are as transparent as can be with pricing. They let you know everything that is happening to your car so you won't have to worry. Just the level of honesty and professionalism is what keeps them outperforming any other auto shop out there.

HUGE THANK YOU! To Luigi and his crew. These guys are amazing mechanics. Luigi is a true professional and always provides honest feedback and advice. Within this year alone he has rebuilt the motor for my 07 yukon and redid my entire suspension. I travel from halfway out the island to bring my vehicles to him! I can't say enough about how great of an experience I have had with High Grade! I highly recommend them for all your mechanic needs!!

Wow what can i say. what a great experience. Frank and his team at high grade auto repair are great, kind, and down to earth people. My car was misfiring and i took it here to get it repaired, not only did they tell me what the problem was they also explained it to me in great detail and in a manner i can understand. Frank is a real nice guy he runs the shop and kept me company as i waited while his guys fixed my car. They fixed my car in a real reasonable time and the price i paid was reasonable.I recommend frank and his team at high grade auto repair. Left feeling like they work more for the people and not for the money.

Car repair issues can be stressful and it is very hard to please everyone! I got lucky and am beyond pleased with High Grade Auto Repair. After years of receiving terrible, indifferent, over priced services from car repair shops in this neighborhood, I m especially grateful.I found high grade auto online and am blown away by the excellent customer service and mechanical work that the owner and his team provided. Their 5 star yelp reviews are well deserved!Frank not only quickly ascertained ied why my check engine light was on (something my former mechanic could not figure out after 3 visits) he also informed me about diagnosis, cost and completion time. Prices were 40% below the dealership which is an answered prayer for me.HGAR will continue to be my only option for every automobile I will ever have. They have turned a complete nightmare into a routine service. I was able to sit comfortably in their waiting room and help myself to a coffee. Friendly and honest staff, fast service, great prices, exceptionally work. They won t let you down!!

This was my first time at this repair shop. Replaced front and rear brakes on my BMW, as well as, my rear shocks. Great mechanics and excellent workmanship. Luigi is very friendly and a true professional. I will be returning with all my vehicles in need of future repairs and will recommend to all my neighbors.

Thanks to 5 star online reviews, I found Frank and his crew (and his adorable kids). Very professional, very friendly, very fair prices, drop off and pick up too. Frank gave me estimates in a few minutes and being fairly priced, I went for it on the spot. They found oak nuts stored away in the air filter compartment! They cleaned that up and we did a big tune up and other minor items. All in all I am so relieved and happy to find a trusted mechanic shop for my Toyota (having moved and leaving my old trusted mechanic - Ray in High Falls NY). Thanks Frank and Luigi!! See you in 6 months for the breaks : )

It's so hard to find a good auto repair service that's honest, reasonably priced, and incredibly skilled. Found it in High Grade. My Taurus has been running on its last leg for a long time, and I've gotten the run around from so many mechanics, putting a fortune into it. Frank at High Grade has been so trustworthy and helpful, saving me both time AND money. Highly, highly recommended!!

This is the only place I will come to give my car TLC! I used to commute from Queens just to get my oil changed here. I actually can say that I trust my mechanic!! Honesty & integrity defines High Grade Auto.The customer service is amazing. The space is always clean. They really do meet me where I am at financially and never push an awkward sale in my direction. I always leave feelng super confident that my car is running in tip top shape. I want to encourage everyone I know to come here. I promise you will leave a happy driver.

I have adopted this shop because they have earned my respect and business by proving that they are credible, professional, honest and perform quality work at a competitive price. Luigi is personable, respectful, and does not pull tricks out of the hat like other shops do; he even tells me what necessary and what can wait. I encourage and urge you to maintain your business model as is; if you do that, you will never lack customers, and will be there for at least another 100 years. I would recommend you to anyone who is looking for the real thing and tired of going to the Boucher shops. Keep it up!

One of the most knowledgeable, friendly, and HONEST repair shops I have ever encountered. After explaining my car trouble over the phone, Frank personally came to our house and picked up my car and had it ready to drive again within the hour, at a very reasonable price! He diagnosed the problem and was able to explain everything in layman's terms. He even gave my car a 30 point check over free of charge and did not try and push any unnecessary work, something plenty of mechanics try. I highly recommend 'High Grade Auto Repair' and plan on bringing my car back to them for whatever it might need in the future.

Came here for maintenance on my Vehicle and Luigui was so helpful. He told me what I needed and what could wait, very honest. My car was done in a timely manner and feels brand new. I will definitely be returning with my other cars as well. Best shop I've been to in Franklin square by far. They make you feel comfortable. thanks luigui and frank!

Fast, friendly, and courteous staff. Frank ("Efrain") welcomed me and took my car in immediately. No wait. I was treated with respect and his staff explained the required services I needed (headlight replacements) without trying to sell me other services. I like the fact that they're family-owned.
