I was due for inspection on my 2 year old lease and I wanted to go to a mechanic who was trustworthy and reputable. A bunch of my co workers had recommended this place, that the owner Nick was really good. I'm glad I went. He was honest, informative, quick and efficient. The waiting room was really clean and comfortable and he was attentive to me and the other clients waiting. You can tell he's not only knowledgeable but wants to do right by his customers. I will be going back to them for my oil changes and anything else I need done until my lease is up. Very happy!

Check Point Automotive, located in Farmingdale, NY, was recommended to me by friends & family, as well as by my superintendent, who notoriously demands 100%. They don't advertise; they don't need to as their excellent workmanship, honest pricing, and client dedication results in a natural word-of-mouth marketing.Nick, the owner & operator, is personable and easy to talk to. If you are concerned or upset about something, let him know. There's an obvious pride in his company, and he wants the customers to know they are important. Whatever the issue, no matter who is wrong or right, he will do everything he can to have you leave with a smile and the knowledge that you'll be back there for your NYS car or motorcycle inspection.Check Point also does complete car repairs for both foreign and domestic makes/models. Bring your car in for brake & tire replacements, 4-wheel alignments, and all the other "keep it in prime and safe running condition" items.The waiting room is clean and cozy, with a large coffee making area and a water bottle machine. It's decorated with wall art, a tv, books, magazines, motorcycle models, and other little things to spend your time on while waiting. Even the bathroom is unexpectedly large, pretty, and spotless with thought put into decoration!This is one of my longest reviews because they deserve it. Give it a chance--go there, and experience it yourself!

nick is truly amazing! switched to check point after going to pep boys for many years after they told me i needed something fixed (costing over $1000) that they were incorrect about and nick was able to tell me the right thing. even when i was 4 1/2 hours away at college, nick helped me not get up-charged over $300 and taken advantage of by mavis since i was too far away for him to help me. it is hard to find trustworthy and honest mechanics these days but nick is one of them!!

Amazinggggggg!!!! Im a person who like to read review and not write one but this place deserves to know how amazing they are.First of all Bobby is amazing mechanic. I didn't speak to nick but my fianc� did and he said he s incredibly nice. Through out our experience we dealt with Bobby. And May I say my car was making lots of noise and had issues it seem like no one could find and with the year we had this car We went to a lot of mechanics and it was still there with all the mechanic until Bobby fix it. He told us what needed to be work on and told us step by step what needed to be done and why? I don t say this about anyone but this place has the best mechanic and amazing owner. And the receptionist in the front was super polite. They have reasonable prices and they re very trustworthy.

If you want a place that is honest and does great work, this is it! They will never tell you that you need to do something just to make money. I cannot say enough good things about this place. Nick is the best and I will not take my cars anywhere else!

Nick was awesome, took my car in because the last guys who worked on my car stripped the lug nut. They got it off in just a few minutes. Very honest and respectable people. Definitely returning for alignments and tire installation.Service: Auto maintenanceService: Auto maintenance

I can t stress enough how great of a shop this is. My wife and I moved into the neighborhood about 2 years ago and have been going to them for both of ours cars ever since. They go above and beyond with any issue we have with our vehicles. Finding a new and reliable mechanic or garage can be tricky, especially when for decades you haven't had to think about it. But last year the mechanic who had been taking care of my family's cars for more than 40 years retired. And I was lucky then to find Checkpoint. Nick, Bobby and Carlos welcomed me, gave me a thorough and honest assessment of what needed to be done and charged what I thought was a fair price. I don't even live in the area anymore, but I will return to Checkpoint whenever I can. Highly recommended.

Incredible family business! Greatful to have found Check Point as the owner, Nick is not only honest - but great at what he does. Warning - they often have a wait; but that's a testament of how great they are! I have brought both cars there and they've always done right by me. They do foreign cars as well, so Fiat friends - you have a good place have your car checked out. Very recommended.

I am a first time customer of Checkpoint and Nick took care of me like I had been a customer of his for decades. He gave me an honest and fair estimate for the work that was needed on my car. He communicated with me, was available to speak to me, and was polite, professional and patient. The entire experience was Five Star and I would recommend Nick and Checkpoint to anyone looking for a solid, honest, reliable shop to keep their families vehicles safe. I'm just giving a heads up that this place does not accept after-market vehicle warranties, so if you're planning to use your warranty, this is not the place to do so.

Went numerous times for a simple synthetic oil change with filter because I had no where to do it at the time. I physically gave them the correct oil and OEM filter. They installed their own aftermarket filter, kept the one I gave them, and it slowly leaked, making a mess under my engine. Also, they super over tightened the drain plug, so I had to chisel off the remnants of the crush washer at the next oil change. Caution advised people.

Car repair experience can be devastating if you pick the wrong place. I am glad I did my research and choose Check Point automotive. The owner Nick is super friendly and honest. He and his crew did an awesome job and gave me a really good price at the end. The way Nick treat his customer makes me feel like he really cares about this business, which is really difficult to find in these days. I will definitely go back there in future for my car service. 5 Stars!

Best shop, best mechanics period. It can be tough to find a shop you really trust, that you know won t take advantage of you, this is that shop. They are reliable, timely, trustworthy and reasonably priced. They prioritize the needs of their customers and from the moment I started coming here with my old beater almost 4 years ago, they have always made me feel like an important customer. They managed to keep my car on the road long past it s due date and now I ve got a new(er) one, I trust them above all others to look after it and keep me safe and moving on the road. Shout out specifically to Nick and Bobby, Nick who went out of his way for me early on with some much needed advice and insight when dealing with a factory recall, and Bobby who never brushes me off or dismisses my questions or concerns, and who always takes the time to explain what s up with my car and what my (sometimes multiple) options are. When I spend my money here, I know they are dollars well spent at a business that has more than earned every cent.Seriously, these gents are a class act, DON T waste your time or hard earned dollars ANYWHERE else!

bobby is the best! always so prompt and to the point! he takes time to explain exactly what is wrong, and what needs to be done to fix it. he truly is knowledgeable in his work. His staff- all very kind and helpful. my vehicle has been worked on by bobby for years and I trust him 100% with the work he does. no games or funny business and is ususlly very quick, it's nice knowing when I have car trouble that it goes to someone who cares and most importantly is trustworthy. thanks bobby! keep up your great work

I brought my car in this morning after the check engine light came on while driving home the previous day. I also needed an oil change and headlights replaced. The owner Nick was very helpful, he called me back and explained the problem, didn t need a major repair, and should be resolved. He took care of everything else I needed as well and at a very reasonable cost. It s very reassuring to know that there are honest auto repair shops and I highly recommend Check Point Auto.

My experience with Check Point is always wonderful. I have used them for years and never had a problem. The mechanics are very knowledgeable, friendly and will go out of there way to help you. Will continue using Check Point , as long as my 2002 Camry is on the road. Thanks guys !!

Very impressed with the professionalism yet caring and honest service. Not only were the rates very reasonable, the service was excellent and fast. They explained everything extremely well and were very knowledgeable. I plan to continue to go to Check Point for all my car service needs.

We were looking for a mechanic to check a car we were buying in the area. We found checkpoint based on previous reviews. Not only did Nick(owner)help us find the perfect truck, his mechanics and staff were friendly and professional. We now decided to use him as our mechanic. If your looking for someone knowledgeable, reliable and honest than look no further.

Checkpoint Automotive is highly recommended by me. Nick and his team are professional, experienced & efficient. I've been here twice and in near tears because I thought my car was going to blow up (ok... a bit dramatic) Nick and the folks at Check Point are kind, helpful & honest. They take the time to explain to you in terms you can understand what the issue is & how best to fix it. They are always upfront about costs, which is very important. I've never had better service and for that exact reason that is I why I continue to come back. Thank you

Very trustworthy, does not do unnecessary work or keep your car for too long. My tires were hot and steaming so I called up worried about what's going on and Nick reassured me on the phone and stayed late for me to bring my car in that same day. He only replaced one caliper bc that was all that was needed and he had it done by 2pm the next day. So glad I found him.

I have been bringing my vehicles to Check Point for maintenance and repairs for a few years now. Outstanding, high quality service is the only thing Nick(Proprietor) and his staff provide. Honest hard working group of people that take pride in what they do! Trust worthy no shenanigans!
