I went in today to have my heat shield reattached and it was the absolute best experience. Marie and Bruce were beyond amazing. They are honest, knowledgeable, customer focused and friendly. After my car was hit I had no idea where to go to have it repaired. My friend recommended 1042 Collision. Marie and Bruce are both very helpful, capable and knowledgeable about insurance companies and how to have the best outcome. They could not have been nicer. My car was returned very clean and looks like new inside AND out.

I was in the process of getting lowballed by the other guys insurance company when I walked into 1042 for a repair quote. That s when everything changed. Marie advised me on how to avoid getting screwed, went to bat for me and stood by me throughout the whole process, and I ended up with a lot more than I was expecting in the beginning, plus a free rental for the month I was without my own vehicle. Don t deal with the other guy s insurance by yourself. You owe it to yourself, your family, and your poor wrecked car to have 1042 represent you. I don t want to need a collision shop in the future, but if I do, you know who I m calling first? 1042.

I am amazed-like nothing ever happened! Very skillful technicians there. It was a very quick & easy process to fix my car and make it showroom perfect again. They took care of everything from giving me an estimate, scheduling the work, arranging for a rental, getting the work done and picking my car up again. I even got a progress report while the work was underway, and was also given a really nice tee-shirt upon pickup ( its really cute!) If you ever find yourself in need of auto body work, 1042 Collision is the right place to go!

This was the best experience I ve had with a Collision Repair Shop. Marie and Bruce are the best! Very professional and knowledgeable in every aspect of Collision Auto/Insurance Repairs. I was so wonderfully happy when I picked up my 98 Chrysler Sebring she looks brand new. I would definitely use 1042 Collision again. As a matter of fact I recently purchased a Honda Accord which has a few scratches needing some loving touch. Service: Body & Trim

Excellent and efficient service! Marie provided me with guidance and support throughout the entire process, including car rental. She answered all my questions and concerns while I was there and maintained communication with me while my car was getting fixed. The shop did a great job with my car as it came out brand new. I m very happy with their service.

I would give 100 if I could. I got rear ended by a car that spun out of control after colliding with an 18 wheeler. Luckily, 1042 came to the rescue. Marie helped us navigate the claim with insurance and made sure we didn't get the run around. Bruce kept us updated with the car and as the estimates came in. My car came out of the shop looking better than it did the day I brought it from the dealership. 1042 made a very stressful situation bearable. Will be referring all friends/family that get into car trouble to 1042. If you're reading this, this is your sign that you've found the right spot. Thank me later.

1042 Collision appears very professional, and like me, you may be inclined to bring your vehicle here due to the amazing reviews they have across several platforms. From personal experience I want to warn everyone to rethink bringing their car here.I was rear ended and received some frame damage. The shop pulled the frame, ordered new parts, painted and gave me the car back. In total the process took about three weeks.Initially the first problems I noticed with their repairs were that the bumper did not line up with the rear quarter panel. There were gaps. My trunk also did not sit at the correct position, being slightly lower than the quarter panel on the driver side. Every time I would shut my trunk, it would slowly etch a line into the clear coat, indicating that the rear deck-lid panel was not lined up correctly either. Plastic was being marred on the tail light housing due to how the trunk shut. Paint on the trunk was being chipped away due to when it would hit the tail light housing. Interior trunk panels had massive gaps as well and did not sit flush.I left original reviews and the next day received a call from 1042, asking me to take them down and to come by so the car can be fixed properly. I appreciated the gesture, but unfortunately before I could go back was again rear ended at a traffic light.This time I opted to bring the vehicle to another repair shop, which was incredible, showing me the entire process and keeping me informed of what was going on.Now the worst part about 1042. They did not fix underneath the bumper properly, and there was rust beginning to form on the body panels because they did not use the proper rust prevention during the body panel repair! I can only imagine how bad this would have gotten left unchecked.For a body shop that had three weeks to fix my car, and got well over $5,000 from insurance to do this, I am disgusted by how terrible of a job they did, and can only imagine how many corners they cut on other people's vehicles in areas that you may never see.Please, do your research and look elsewhere for the sake of your wallet and your car.*I want to stress all photos but the three showing rust were from before the second rear end collision. This was how the car was returned to me by the shop. Also, had I never been rear ended again, the rust would've been left unchecked*

Me and my family have been doing business here for the past 30 years, and we never had a bad experience here. Marie and Bruce do such an outstanding job to make this a pleasant experience. If you are looking for a place to get your vehicle repaired, I highly recommend 1042 Collision Repairs!

My parking garage damaged my brand new jag and their insurance company tried to force me to use their collision shop and require at least two estimates (both of which are not required in NY). After speaking with Marie (1042 collisions owner) she set the record straight. From then on she dealt with the garage insurance company. She made sure they got me a great rental while repairs were being done (Range Rover Velar). When the insurance company refuted a cost, she pushed back and took care of it. Within a couple weeks the repairs were done and the car looked like new. The best part was I never had to speak to the insurance company or parking garage.They get 5 stars for the repair work and 5 stars for the customer service. If only all consumer based businesses were operated like this. Highly recommended.

Excellent service, highly recommend. Here's why:1) They assisted me dealing with Geico, making that process much easier.2) They arranged for a rental car and ensured it was ready to go when I dropped off the Range Rover.3) They perfectly fixed the issue by getting the back driver side door replaced (someone clipped me on the Southern State).4) The car was wheeled out and polished and looks like the day I bought it.5) They arranged to have the breaks and rotor fixed. Dropped it off and picked it up from the shop so I didn't have to6) It seems like they had the car cleaned too.They've been around for 50+ years. Businesses can only do that if they provide consistent quality service year after year. Thank You 1042 team.

Maria at 1042 Collision is the Best. Very knowledgeable and cares for her customers.My car was deemed totaled and I was stressed after the accident. She guided me through the process and told me not to worry. She even advised me to get an appraiser which I never would've though of, and probably would have excepted my insurance company's first offer. I Highly would recommend 1042 Collision, a True Family owned place that goes above and Beyond for there customers.

STOP! Don t even look anywhere else! BEST Autobody repair shop on the Island. Top notch work! The shop is clean and efficient! They are honest and the prices are very fair! Let Marie and Bruce deal with the insurance company hassles. You drive out with a rental that they arrange! Honestly! This is the only Autobody shop I would ever use or recommend! 5 stars! Marie was so great to work with, they are very knowledgeable and understand what it takes to get things done. Especially with insurance companies!! They did a great job fixing my bumper and even cleaned the interior and exterior of my car when they were done fixing it!! This shop is way more then just an auto body shop.After my husbands accident, Marie and Bruce guided us through the entire claims process, step by step start to finish. We knew exactly what to expect and how to handle the insurance company. I had a great experience here at 1042 Collision! I was recommended by a friend and I'm so glad he told me about this place! Marie and the rest of the staff did an amazing job taking care of my situation and I couldn't be any happier! Marie is an informative, no nonsense person who knows her stuff. She was informative through and through and knew exactly what to say to handle my insurance company so that I wouldn't go through any unnecessary situations. My rental car was even handled through Marie and everything was quick and easy. Great service! Marie was fabulous and made my accident an easy experience. They handled everything for me including getting me a car rental with unlimited miles so my accident did not interrupt my vacation plans! My car was finished on time and looked better than before the accident. Everyone at 1042 was professional, detail oriented and so helpful! Marie is so knowledgeable and experienced in her work, she put all my anxiety over the situation to rest. Marie, Bruce and the staff at 1042 were absolutely phenomenal throughout the entire process. I was recommended to 1042 by a coworker and dear God am I glad he did. Marie was already taking care of everything before I even arrived at the shop. Upon arrival, Marie wrapped up quickly and didn t allow the insurance company to play games with my vehicle. ...she even took care of the rental car for me and had them pick me up from the shop in a timely manner. I couldn t have been waiting more than 5 minutes before enterprise showed up with a brand new rental. Bruce was meticulous in form and assessed the damages with a fine tooth comb, making sure we caught every little scratch/dent/ding etc. An incredibly irritating situation was made far less stressful thanks to 1042. I had a leak in my sunroof and they were able fix it and drain the water that had leaked into my car. They ensured all the water was out and dry before returning my car to me. I got into an accident on my way to school and the hood of my car was misaligned. Thinking it would be a couple of hundred bucks, I searched for good auto body repair shops. I found the best reviews for 1042 Collision and so I went to get a quote as it was near my house.Turns out that more than my hood was damaged and the repair would cost a couple of thousand dollars. I FREAKED OUT!! I'm in my early 20's working part time in retail and going to grad school full time. I certainly do not have a couple of thousand dollars to my name.Marie, from the moment she greeted me, was very friendly and warm. Explaining my situation and getting a quote, she went over a few options with me. She gave me her opinions and was absolutely PRESSURE-FREE! She made me feel a lot better and calmed me down a bit. She even guided me through my insurance claim to make sure that I was in control and getting what I needed. Everything went smoothly until I found out I didn't have rental coverage.Knowing my situation, Marie expedited the insurance inspection and saved me a lot of money. She got me a good deal on a rental as well. I left in less than an hour with a really nice rental. She really has your back and its awesome! My car was done within a week and a half and it looked gorgeous. They did a full detail wash on it and everything. My car looked newer and cleaner than it had ever looked. They really do a good job here. They even give you a car freshener! Really nice gesture.These people really know customer service. They actually care about you, and they do really good auto body work. I recommend everyone to come here.Thank you Marie, Bruce, and the 1042 team!

I brought my car into 1042 after reading all of the positive reviews. Their customer service and work exceeded my expectations. My car looks wonderful, Marie and Amanda handled every aspect of the insurance claims to get my car repaired the proper way, arranged for the car rental and explained everything along the way. My car was returned to me completely clean inside and out, they even took care of a melted crayon my son left in the center console! I couldn't be happier and will definitely recommend to anyone in need of auto-body work.
