We've been doing business with Star Motors for the past 10 years and have always been pleased with our service and our purchases and trades of several vehicles over the years. Jake the Service Manager has always been outstanding to deal with, always so friendly, personable and helpful. He has mostly been our main point of contact. Jake has always made caring for our cars a seamless and easy process overall. At one time we had three total vehicles that we purchased and serviced there and have always been well taken care of by Jake and by Neil too.

We were looking for a nice Mercedes and we found Star Motors in NY. Neil and Jake were super nice and low Key. I was treated like Royalty they were very honest over the phone so I drove over 5 hours to pick up a 2017 E 300 with only 51k miles on it then drove it home over 5 hours. My wife loved the car and she was very happy Neil and Jake had and really nice shop and was well worth the trip.March 2024Mike D

My dad and I stopped by this dealership after a recommendation from a friend. We were happily greeted by Neil, who showed us around his shop. He had a nice selection of different cars that were being restored or ready to be sold. We also talked to one of his mechanics for over an hour who helped me understand his view of the restoration business. He also walked us through almost every car and taught us some of its history and different details. I could not recommend this dealership more, and you will be dealing with some great people.

Went in for an inspection and got a renewed inspection sticker and an awesome tour of their Mercedes classics! Their customer service is fantastic and they are clearly very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about what they do. I can t recommend this place enough for any of your car needs!

Excellent advice and service. I have a 2004 Mercedes with over 220,000 miles I wanted it repaired they scanned the car and told me it was beyond repair.They spent hours checking the car and didn t charge me. I went to 3 different mechanics that specialize in European cars and none were able to diagnose the problem.If I had come to Star motors first I would have saved hundreds of dollars and would have saved the car.I would definitely recommend Star Motors very professional and honest.

I am a returning happy customer. Jake and Neil are so knowledgeable. They really pay attention to detail ,and went out of their way to make sure we had a fabulous experience. Always very honest and great communication. So happy they found us another fabulous Mercedes.

I was going to give them five stars before my car was serviced. Great customer service. Very clean establishment. I received top notch professional work and service from this establishment. And they were the only spot that could've done the 4 wheel alignment on my '04 320 4matic: she's had a coil over conversion done (by previous owner). I used to have to go all the way down to the city, to get work done. Now I don't have to. I highly recommend Star Motors.

I had a very good experience with Star Motors in the diagnostics & repair of my '88 Benz. Star Motors is the best shop in the area for repair of Mercedes vehicles. It's a premium repair shop that attempts to do the job right the first time. For owners of older Mercedes cars, there are few other repair shops with the expertise of the mechanics at Star Motors. Few other shops are interested in repairing older cars.

I recently bought a 2016 Mercedes E 350. The overall experience was impressive. The owner, Neil, was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The price I received for my trade in was reasonable, and the price that I paid for the vehicle I purchased was more competitive than any in the Rochester, NY area. Their overall service was prompt and courteous. I appreciated that there was no high pressure sales tactics and that the car was prepared with a meticulous attention to detail. I would certainly recommend Star Motors to anyone shopping for a vehicle.

Jake and Neal are great. One handles service the other the business/and or both. I did a trade in and upgraded my vehicle. They were a few issues with the car but they got everything fixed and I m satisfied. Both very knowledgeable and educational on these Mercedes Benz. I recommend Star Motors to anyone and everyone who has a love for these cars. Thanks again!

A year late, however I bought my Sentra from here, and it s been great. Jake is amazing, extremely helpful. This past winter my exhaust flapper wore down, they fixed it for that day. Extremely helpful, a year later Jacob will still answer any questions I have. Great place to buy a car, and extremely reasonable to work with. Any issues you have they will make it right. 5 stars

I bought a 2007 MB 320 CDI through Neil and Star Motors. I've had the car about two weeks and taken several road trips. I've been throughly impressed with their sale and care of the vehicle and how well-restored it is.The car was expertly detailed and the mechanical setup feels perfect - the car drives like a brand-new vehicle. I also give Star Motors credit because during the inspection process they themselves located a small suspension leak and noted that the brake pads were getting low; they fixed both issues at their own cost.I drove up to get my car. The owner Neil was friendly and knowledgeable. I was also impressed with the organization and tidiness of the shop.Purchasing a second-hand vehicle doesn't get any better than this.

I replaced the starter om my 09 Mercedes ml350 and the problem still existed. I called star motors and the technician knew what the problem was after I explained it to him. He gave me all the information to get my key switch repaired for a minimal amount of money. I removed key switch sent it where he said to send it came back works flawlessly now. Technician knowledge of these automobiles is priceless. Thank you I would highly recommend.

These guys are great. I got an excellent deal on an absolutely beautiful Mercedes in near mint condition. I've been a long time fan of BMW and have owned 5 but these new C class Mercedes are just awesome. Jake treated me well, respected my wishes and worked hard to earn my business. He stayed late to accomodate my schedule and was diligent while working my deal but never pressured me. Neil went to bat when we were apart on price and was completely transparent with his cost's.Bottom line, these guys sell great cars for great prices. They have integrity, respect and have earned a long time customer.Thanks again!

The best and only place to take your Mercedes for service in the Binghamton area. Neil and Jake will both do their best to take care of you and your vehicle. When you bring your car here you can be certain the work will be done correct and promptly. I definitely would recommend Star Motors to any Mercedes owner, or any other German car owner.

I didn't think of writing a review for Star Motors but after my latest purchase I simply had to... I've bought a number of cars from them over the years: Mazda, BMW, Mercedes, and Subaru. Every time I go there, either buying a car or getting maintenance work done, I love my experience. Jake is friendly and helpful at every step, working to make sure I'm happy at the end of day.My latest car, a Subaru STI, was quite a thrill. I was told by a Subaru dealer that it would take months to get one, maybe even more than 6 months. I went to Neil to see if he could help and boy did he ever! He found one, brand new, fully loaded and gorgeous, in no time at all! He got me exactly what I was looking for. 10/10 would buy a car from them again.

I purchased a used E350 from Neil and the team at Star Motors. From initial contact over the phone, to the pick-up of the car, everything was outstanding. Clear and honest communication, specific and accurate description, and the pictures matched exactly. It's clear that these guys know the Mercedes space, and answered every question that I had.I will not hesitate to purchase from them again. We've become a lifetime customer.

Excellent , professional and courteous. I had a difficult tech question that was stumping other Mercedes Benz dealers. Neil at Star Motors spent 10 minutes with me to help diagnose the issue and solved a previously hard to answer question. My only gripe is I don't live closer to this knowledgeable business. Please accept my recommendation to these professionals.

If I could summarize my experience with Star Motors in one word it would be: outstanding, outstanding and outstanding! The pictures and description posted online were honest and they were good enough for me, but I was pleasantly surprised that the vehicle was even better than the pictures. It was superb! I was even more impressed by the personal touch of the customer service team at Star Motors. My wife and I flew from Texas and gave them a surprise visit at the last minute and they took care of us even outside their working hours. Now that s what I call service! Neil, Brenda and Jake went the extra miles to make sure that I am satisfied with everything. Some of the advice given to me were priceless and I felt that they took care of me as if I were family. You can t find that from just any dealers. Buying from Star Motors is the best car-buying decision I've ever made.

I recently purchased a 2017 Nissan Altima from Star Motors as my second car purchases in 6 years. The overall experience of the car purchase both times was excellent. Jake, was instrumental in helping me decide on financing and warranty packages on both cars. Great service.

Purchased a GL 350 from Star Motors end of Sep 2016 . This Car was our first Mercedes and obviously we were wary of dealerships after reading reviews about how dealers have hidden fees, overcharge on interest rates etc.I must say however our experience at Star Motors was pretty painless bordering on Pleasant! The car was priced reasonably at par with KBB , Neil the owner went through with the various features on the car, even managed to give a modest discount - although not as much we hoped for :) ! also gave a fair value for my trade in. They got the paperwork done quickly and even accommodated our request to schedule delivery on a Sunday since we were driving in from NJ.Special thanks to the support staff especially Jake and Chrissy who are very professional , diligent and courteous.Jake managed to get us a good interest rate on the loan also got the spare key shipped out to us quickly. Chrissy got the registration paperwork mailed out also faxed over a missing document in record time when we were at the DMV for registration.All in all , we had a very smooth transaction at Star Motors, the minor hiccups were addressed promptly and efficiently by Neil and his team.We would not hesitate to recommend them as I am sure you will have a similar positive experience like us! Only feedback for Neil is to try and smile more - he seems stressed out most of the time!! :)

By far the worst dealer and customer service in town. Walked in to check an SLK 55 amg parked outside and the guy said NOPE you can t check the car. You can go and bid on it at the auction cause we can bring more money out of it.Keep in mind I service my E350 there.They will never see my car or have my business again

They were unbelievable. Was traveling from Rochester to the Poconos when my Mercedes had a major issue. They go above and beyond with service. I had decided to buy a car off the lot as I didn t want to bother with the rental to get to my destination. They made sure to make it happen in one day. Stepped it up and put new brakes in the new Mercedes, a new tire and then added micro blades all without me asking for any of it. They are a CLASSY ACT !!!!!

I saw the car online. It was just what I was looking for. Talked to Neil and Jake to make the deal as I had to fly in from Cincinnati Ohio. The car was perfectly detailed and ready for my 600 mile drive home. Car was better than advertised!!! I will most definitely talk to Star Motors first before buying another pre owned Benz!!!

I bought a used 2012 E-350. It was advertised as having park assist; Neil exclaimed that it had park assist, but "he didn't know how it worked." In hindsight, this should have been a red flag. It wasn't a red flag to me because this was my first Benz purchase. The car only had one key and he promised two. As a matter of fact, there was a point in negotiation where he didn't want to come down lower on the price because he would have to pay for an additional key. He sent the key with the car (I live out of state) and it turned out to be a random key-- it wasn't made for the car I purchased. The dealership also promised to touch up blemishes on the car; that was not upheld. Around a month or more later, they sent a small bottle of touch up paint (the same time they sent the key), but that was after I had been calling incessantly for the key and paint. Long story short-- this dealership is riddled with horrible integrity. The only thing they followed through on was that the E-350 needed an engine fan, which they fixed.

I have purchased 2 cars from Starmotors. Glk350 2012 and then traded up to a 2014 e350. Both cars were excellent. Price was very reasonable. Service was performed on both. I was happy with the quality/speed. I was given a loaner in both cases.

I had a very negative experience with Star Motors. I purchased a 2011 Lexus LS460. The Pictures were not accurate and only showed the 'clean' areas of the car while not showing any negative pictures. The description of the car was clear that it was a very clean car - IT WASN'T! Additionally, there was a check engine light for the Parking Brake system that was not disclosed - $1,200.00 repair of which I received $1,000.00 from Star Motors. The car was said to have 2 key fob's but only had 1. This cost another $250.00. Anything you buy from them, run a carfax AND have the car inspected before making payment!!! There's a reason they wanted to sell this to an out of state buyer...
