I was almost halfway through my lengthy trip to see my fianc� and I ended up having some brake troubles. Troy took me right in to look at my issue and with no problem, he was able to fix my issue! This man has a great personality and he is a very selfless man. In short terms. I highly recommend his business to everyone. He s very reasonable and does fantastic work! Keep at it man!!

Run by some kind, approachable people. Fairest mechanics I ve honestly ever met. Doesn t price gouge you like a couple other mechanics I ve been to. I ve been twice now and it s never felt like I m getting screwed over. I know of at least 7 people in my company that swear by them. They identified the issues with my Toyota 4Runner s Transmission , and fixed them within the day. Recently broke my side mirror and the owner is working with me to find reasonably priced parts. Awesome mechanics, highly highly recommend this place.Service: Transmission

Iron Paws is the first mechanic ive been to while up here in New York. The owner was extremely friendly and professional. He explained what he was going to do to my vehicle before he did it and called me about any changes or concerns. On top of keeping me updated, he also gave me an extremely good price. Iron paws is a small shop with very good mechanics, attention to detail with an owner " Troy" that has very good "people skills" and explains everything in detail in a way we customers can understand and relate to. Troy is that honest owner we all look for. No worries getting the job done right with the best price anywhere.

Troy, the owner of this workshop is a decent, honorable, and competent technician. I have no better adjectives to describe him. You may be best served to experience it yourself. Because of a slight and insignificant discomfort to me, Troy fixed my Venza and canceled about $250 of charges. Unbelievably outstanding gentleman. Tony and his staff are so amazing. They got my car right in and even stayed after to make sure the job was complete and safe to drive. The brakes were rusted and would make a vibrating sensation while driving so I called and he made room in their busy schedule to check my car and give me an estimate on the necessary repairs that very day. He even said the repairs could be completed by noon the very next day! Not only was the timeline met but the car received all the repairs it needed and I was explained everything. Thank you! I was traveling for work in this area, far from home, and accidentally locked my keys inside my car! Troy came over promptly and was able to open the door and wasn't going to charge anything for it, and I was able to continue on my way. He really helped me out, big time! I am so grateful for for the kindness. Genuine, honest, and highly recommended.

Iron Paws was recommended to me by a trusted friend and I am so glad I went! They were incredibly helpful and professional. They timed my distributor and fixed an air leak, explained to me what it was, gave me a great deal and all around were amazing! Going to a new mechanic is always a little scary because you never really know what you re in for. Are the mechanics going to be friendly? Are they not gonna take advantage of me? Are they gonna take forever?I am happy to say that coming to Iron Paws, I definitely found that Troy was super friendly! They were very time efficient and they definitely took good care of me.I bought used car about a month ago from a small dealership in Syracuse, NY and I ve had to take it back at least once a week for something different everytime. Even had to have my engine and drive shaft (and many other things in between) replaced! After not even two days of getting it replaced, the engine lights came on and the car was making a lot of wonky sounds. I was in the area and decided to stop by at Iron Paws to get a third party point of view because I m frankly tired of going back to that dealership. Troy took my car for a test drive to see what noises i was referring to and confirmed all my concerns. He then put it on a lift to take a closer look at it and found that the last mechanic that worked on my car had left some bolts loose when replacing the drive shaft, which could ve caused a lot of issues had they come out while driving. So he tightened up the screws for me!Troy understood that the dealership and their mechanic are definitely sketchy and take advantage of their customers. Troy went the extra mile to make sure that I didn t feel that way here. I m super grateful I decided to stop by here. You definitely won t regret it!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

They promptly fixed my headlight and signed my ticket for me, Troy wasn t around when his guys fixed my light so I left a note for him to call me so I could come back and pay but he insisted on not charging me cuz the fix only took a little bit, great people, great price!!!

Troy has the cheapest labor rate in the Tri-County area. Very compassionate and strives to saving you money!! How many garages around here do you know that DON'T take advantage of soldiers!! Easy 5 stars best shop in the area. I highly recommend. Best prices, the guys working are easy to talk to and appear to enjoy their job, wont try to sell you stuff you don t need just to make a buck. My 01 Dakota and I are very satisfied.Update:Best Shop in the area (Including Watertown) not just a solid deal, but they do great work. The guys have a ton of experience. They also warranty their work and stand by it. I m one of the unlucky people who always get the one item that has a manufacturer defect. Luckily Iron Paws replaced it no questions asked. They even have good reputation from other shops in the area. Soldiers (and Civilians) of Ft. Drum go here to get your mechanical work done.Stay away from:Mavis Discount TiresGet R Done

Troy is a wonderful mechanic and a honest man. He will tell you and sell you only what you need and he will make suggestions for things he sees that might need to be looked and soon. I left him my VW told him what I wanted and needed and he did absolutely great work was able to get all my parts at good prices . Very fair prices and fantastic satisfaction. I have and will continue to refer my friends and family to him. Troy will not try to sell you something you don t need he is a honest hardworking small business man. Troy is awesome. I've never been to any shop like his. He is friendly, helpful, and most importantly HONEST. He goes through the whole process of repair with you and is simply incredible to work with. He went above and beyond for me and he certainly will be seeing my vehicles in the future. I blew one of my ignition coils on my VW Passat 20 miles from Iron Paws on road trip. I had no idea what happened with my engine and honestly thought I was going to be stranded over night. It was past 5:30pm, Iron Paws was closed, but I got a hold of Troy on the phone and he told me to come on by.Troy got the parts, and fixed everything right then and there knowing that I needed to get back on the road. Charged an extremely fair rate, and gave me the full rundown on what the issues were. Great experience.These are the types of people you want taking care of your car. I have been going to this auto repair shop for years. I recommend it to everyone. I would not take my vehicle anywhere else. I am a forever customer of Troy and his employees. I brought my vehicle to Iron Paws after a drill bit tore up my wiring harness. I got my car back pretty quickly with the wires fixed . Except the abs light was on and the car would run terribly when using the wipers or air conditioning. My intake boot was left loose as well. I called and let Troy know I was dropping the vehicle back off on the following Monday because obviously something wasn t right. I dropped it off Sunday night and left a text message letting him know it was there. I called every few days to check on it with no answer every time. Every call and text message I sent within the 2 weeks my vehicle was there went unanswered. I was only able to get updates on my car by showing up at the shop. Every time I drove past it sat in the same spot. Finally after 2 weeks I got it back with the same issues. I decided to have my dad look at it while I was home and he found both problems in under 10 minutes. 2 obvious ground wires were left disconnected under the hood. Which would ve been seen easily had they actually taken time to find the problem the second time. The wires from my speed sensor were also ripped out which was causing the abs light. Also would ve been pretty obvious had they tried to actually find the issue. My first Impression was pretty good with how fast I got my car back. Second time around not so much with the obvious lack of interest of making things rightService: Electrical repair
