Absolutely incredible service from this shop. Anthony assisted me with diagnosing a transmission issue, walked me through step by step on the process and pricing, and had me leaving the shop very satisfied! I discovered Star transmission from their reviews and website.A family owned business run by Anthony.I didn t need transmission work, but desperately needed a transmission oil pan! I had ordered pans from two online stores waited 10 days each for deliver, from out of state, and got two misfitting pans.I didn t know where to turn so I researched Star Transmission and Anthony , like I said. After that I just knew he would help me!I walked in, explained to Anthony, my predicament of not having my vehicle and unable to find a pan. He immediately offered his help!He called his suppler on the phone and ordered the parts I needed.Amazingly like 4 hours later, he called and said my parts were in.Then Anthony only asked for his COST for the parts and refused any additional charge!What other business around here does that? Most people always have their hand out looking for payment.You can trust this guy he is a good guy and he made a fan of me!Thanks Anthony you are appreciated!

Hands down one of the best Transmission shops in New York. Salt of the earth type of people. My Raptor was dropped off to get a valve body replaced and they had the vehicle ready before the end of the week all programmed. These days, finding an honest shop is like finding a needle in a haystack. Would gladly bring my cars here with confidence.Service: Transmission

I never write reviews but this place I just cannot say enough about. Having a husband who is an auto mechanic who got out of the field to start a different business no longer has access to a garage and lift. We needed a place to bring our daughters car. Anthony was recommended to me by my co-worker. He is totally honest. My husband knows prices and knows we got a good fair price, a week later my sons car had to be fixed. Anthony told us what it would cost and the price was excellent. When we picked up the car he said it was not as bad as we expected. He actually charged me $300 less! This is the best place around for honesty and prices. I am so happy I have a great place to go to since my husband can no longer fix our family's cars, and the icing on the cake is the privilege I had to meet such a great guy like Anthony!

Anthony was extremely helpful and honest with me about my car. After learning it would cost me $2000 to fix my car, he told me it'd be in my best interest to just invest in a new car. He didn't talk down to me or try to get my money, he truly had my best interest in mind. Even took me into the shop to explain what was up with my car, which was a first for me.I would definitely recommend to anyone needing transmission services!

Anthony's auto knowledge was very evident when discussing my car issues and resolving them. He is professional, yet very friendly and down to earth. I definitely recommend his auto shop for any auto repair, not just transmissions.

Was one of the luck ones to find out that I didn't have a transmission problem, Anthony and his crew not only did they take the time out to look my truck over, they didn't even charge me.. they could have "found something wrong and say it would be costly ". If that isn't the definition of an honest and reputable business, then what is... hats off to you guys you will always have my business.

Tony is the BEST! Will work with you in any way possible, Honest is an understatement, good hearted and salt of the type of person who is understanding of your problem and affordability. I would take my car to him to let me know what's wrong with it first and if he doesn't handle that type of repair at very least I know what's wrong with it and, if needed to, go to another shop with absolute knowledge of the problem so I won't be taken advantage of. Star Transmissions was referred to me from my trusted mechanic and he didn't let me down. My mustang was making noises for months after a gear swap, and no transmission shop could figure it out; not even the Ford dealership. It ended up being a simple fix and no charge. They are extremely kind, honest, and actually know what they are doing. Star has earned a life long customer.

They are the most honest transmission business. Years ago a different company gave me a quote for $3K they said I needed a rebuild I said let me get a second quote and Paul fixed something to do with the transmission for $350. Had another car brought it to him they told me I had a clogged catalytic converter get it fixed if you still got a problem bring them back. Then I had a sedan few years ago wasn t going into fourth gear automatic transmission. They rebuild the Transmission $3500. Would recommend to anyone who is questioning the transmission of a vehicle.

Visited their place over 2 weeks ago. If I were to describe my experience, nobody would believe me so I won t. All I know is for as long as I live on Long Island or within a reasonable distance I no longer have to seek another transmission shop. Anthony is the man. Best customer service I ve ever experienced hands down.

Great staff, honest and helpful, not pushy. Took a look at my car and explained the problem and the solution. They even suggested other options which didn't always include their shop. Great place to have your transmission worked on.

Guys are great; they give you a detailed breakdown of the problem and the cost before fixing your car. They take their time to work on the transmission, prices are very good and work is excellent. !! thanks fro fixing my Acura MDX

While on a road trip I found that I my air-conditioning condenser had been leaking into my cabin. The rear footwells were soaked and my windows would fog up like crazy. I immediately took my car to the dealer and they wanted well over $100 to just diagnose (which didn't include the fix) the problem even though I told them exactly what was wrong.On the recommendation of a friend I took my car to Star and they were able to diagnose and fix the problem (clogged hose), which involved dropping the transmission, in short order.I've been recommending them to everyone I know even if their problem (like mind) isn't transmission related.A great organization all around! A+

Nothing but good to say about this shop. Anthony was very helpful and honest. Top notch service. 3 day turn around for a drive shaft. Transfer case and u joints. Would recommend this shop for all your car or truck problems. Finally a good honest place.

So i took my car to them because I had no clue what was wrong and was concerned it was going to be the transmission. They looked at it for free. They told me the shaking would be better by getting and alignment and four new tires. They even recommended I goto somewhere like pep boys. i ended up going to mavis, but anyway. They were nice. Honest. And no hassle. No games.

7/21/2014LTDFOLLOW UP ON SERVICE REVIEW. GOT MY CAR BACK AND ALL REPAIRS BY STAR TRANSMISSIONS WERE COMPLETED ON A TIMELY MANNER, AND THE REPAIRS WERE DONE ON TIME AND ON BUDGET.EVEN THOUGH I DO MY OWN REPAIRS, IT IS REFREASHING TO KNOW THAT WHEN THERE IS SOMETHING THAT I CAN'T HANDLE, I KNOW I HAVE AN HONEST HARD WORKING SHOP TO GO TO. THEY ARE NOT ONLY GOOD PEOPLE, BUT ALSO A GOOD SHOP. NO BULL........I WOULD USE THIS SHOP AGAIN. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND STAR TRANSMISSIONS AND AUTO REPAIRS
