Honest, straightforward family business with fair pricing.Gerry diagnosed front brakes as the issue. He honestly told me, only the front brake rotors needed changing & didn't try and upsell me to change all the brake rotors & additional components that make up the break system of the vehicle. The work was completed in a timely manner.I will be coming back here for all vehicle repair issues in the future.Service: Brakes

Fast and friendly service. Brought my car in for an emission inspection and they had me in and out in less than 30 minutes. Highly recommend!

I am very surprised to see negative reviews. I took my car to Casarell's for some body repair work - scratches, paint, light replacement). Gerry was very straightforward and transparent on the price. He quoted me for the parts and labor separately and completed the work much quicker than he was expecting. The car looks good as new and I was very pleased with the work and dealing with Gerry. Going FWD we are going o use Casarella's for our maintenance and auto needs entirely. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

I have been going there for years and always had great service. Reading other people's reviews it is clear that these reviewers don't understand cars, or that to ensure reliability one doesn't wait for the battery or brake rotors to completely fail prior to replacing it. I would rather my mechanic replace these things proactively than wait for a failure.

First time I went here was a few years back with my sister's old car that needed repairing, I think the alternator and a few other things. They gave me an estimate after looking at it, confirmed I wanted it done, and had it fixed in no time. The bill was very reasonable, and they even fixed the sunroof gasket (small fix) at no charge because they noticed it leaked there after rain a week prior.Ever since then, I've only dealt with them. I take my car, sister's car, mom's car, dad's car, and tell all my friends about them. Never heard a single complaint, in fact, only "thank you's" and "wow, done in no time".Does the right thing by you and your car. Service is great, in and out quick, prices are very fair, and he's honest with you about your car. Let's you choose what you need done to your car after showing you exactly what's wrong.Honesty is hard to find in the auto repair business, but this is the place to go if you need something done right.

In November, my vehicle completely shut down on the expressway and was towed to Casarella Auto Service. I appreciate the excellent service Jerry and Tony provided at Casarella Auto Service. My engine seized due to the engine piston damaging the oil tank. Plus, the alternator had to be replaced. While, I was agitated, to say the least. Tony and Jerry were kind, very compassionate, and fair. They located a new engine at a reasonable price. Their excellent service warrants me to write this review.Service: Engine repair

I know the Casarella Service Station for many years. I used to buy gas there as well. My wife and I have had many cars repaired there and never had an issue. These brothers do a lot for the community on Hartsdale Avenue. Always make sure you get an estimate for what you want and ask them how much labor costs and parts. This is how you get around issues if you have any. You have to ask questions and at the same time we should expect the highest in professionalism from a service station that's been around for close to 40 years.

Had a belt come loose in our car, so it was very difficult to turn our car, plus the battery was draining quick as a result of the generator not working from it. A local recommended this auto repair shop to us when we asked someone where the closest auto shop was. Casarella's saw us quick notice near closing, & as a result we were able to get home great. Thank you!!!

Had our Inspection done here not to long ago. Apparently they failed to Inspect front break lines. We were driving and the brakes completely went out. The lines ruptured. They were so beat up, and cracked that 3 mechanic shops asked who did the inspection, because the car was not safe to drive nor should it of been passed.Called and spoke to the owner. He's was very rude, and made comment I would not expect ANY business owner to say. I told him I will leave a review on his page. His reply why " You Americans and these stupid reviews". That's when I got mad. Which to me sounds like it's not the first time someone said that to him.He was rude, loud, and yelling through the phone at me. For something that potentially could of killed us, he was not willing to help at all. I do NOT recommend going to this shop ever. He obv passes cars under the table, with out any regards to a person's safety to gain your money and business. Luckly this was caught and no one got hurt. Here is the NYS Inspection Law:Brake drums and/or rotors - check conditionWheel cylinders and/or calipers - check for leakageAll brake lines and hoses - check for leaks, cracks, chafing, restrictions, and improper supportParking brake - check for components and functionBrake equalization - test vehicle for a straight stop without significant wheel pullFunny how a lot of other reviews say the same thing as I do. Bad business right here in a nut shell. Be weary for your safety in your car, if you go to this shop.I have officially reported his business to NYS Inspection Agency and the Fraud Hotline, which many other seem to have done also.Pictures of the hoses he "checked" are on his Facebook page under reviews.

Crooked/dishonest. I had wheels rotated at Valvoline, one of those drive in no repair oil change and tire service places. Asked them to check brakes and was told that rotors were fine, but front brake pads should be replaced in the next few months.I brought to Cassarellas for annual NY inspection and to also replace the front brake pads only, and specifically NOT THE ROTORS. Without even calling me, they proceeded to replace all 4 rotors and pads.($545) telling me that they were in dangerous condition and could not pass inspection. Irate, I demanded to see the removed parts. I had my own personal experience and knew how to examine them, but aside from front pads could find nothing else that would even remotely warrant replacement.I took the parts with a friend to his mechanic (Barts), who agreed I was scammed and urged me to report fraud to DMV. which I did.

Not honestHad a stalling problem. "Spoke" to "ask a mechanic" on the internet. who said I needed a plug in part, so easily installed that I could do it myself.Went to Cassarella's and was quoted $240 for the part and labor. I took the car to another repair shop which charged me $37 for the same part and $10 for labor, $47 total. Not a good idea to go to this shop. Totally dishonest.

Said I needed new brake pads and rotors to pass NYS inspection, but examination of the removed parts showedthem to be in good shape. I saved the parts and filed a report with DMV who sent an inspector who confirmed that parts were unnecessarily replaced. Ultimately Casarella was forced to return my payment - a check for $546.Do not go here!

Unabashedly dishonest.Accidently left light on overnight and could not start my car in the morning. Was just across the street from Casarellas, so asked them to jump start the car. They told me that the battery was so dead thst it would not hold enough of s charge to be jumped and wanted to sell me a new battery. How dumb did they think I was! Called AAA who started the car and then drove it to my regular mechanic who charged the battery. A voltmeter showed the battery to be in good condition. No new battery needed.

I don t go there anymore.Last time I had my Cars repaired they ripped me off at least a couple of times. I found out later when I switched mechanicsAlthough I see new mechanics, the owners are still the once who handle the Finance charges.Just do your due diligence when going to this place.
