Amazing place. Some of the best baked goods you will ever have. The only issue is the service, as they're not too friendly and sometimes not at the front desk. Sometimes you will have to wait a couple minutes in order for someone to assist you. However this does not affect the food or the atmosphere. The place feels and smells like an authentic bakery . Would recommend to any tourists or locals.Dietary restrictions: Very sugary items. If you're watching your weight don't come here.

Love this place! I got a Russian tea cake, big coconut macaroon, rainbow sprinkle cookie, and biscotti. Everything was delicious! And the staff are very sweet. Will definitely going back. One request: if you're ever considering expanding your offerings, I would love some more bread variety, esp. sourdough :)

This place has amazing pastries. I got myself an apple dumpling and a couple cookies as well as their little souvenir bracelet since I m out of town and visiting here. Everyone was really nice and friendly. And their pastry was so yummy! Definitely recommend this place for anyone passing by in town. You ll be glad you came inside!

I visited here from Germany to see my brother play on Doubleday Field. This bakery has the BEST pastries! I tried the cheese danish and Boston Creme. Best I ever had. I ve tried so many pastries all over Europe and this bakery is top tier. Very impressed.

What better way to celebrate a good doctor's appointment for my love than a stop at Schneider's Bakery for something sweet. We went with a Cream Puff and a Lemon Square to share. We both throughly enjoyed the Cream Puff, the pastry was light and airy while the cream was nice and chilled straight from the case, rich and yummy. The Lemon Square was just OK, I prefer a lemon curd filling that's thicker and Dawn noted oats as part of the base detracted from the overall taste.Schneider's has a nice bakery selection from breads to cookies to chocolate delights. There should be something for everyone. There are two tables inside with four chairs each. A cold drink case and a coffee bar is also available.I highly recommend stopping in for a treat.

Best Apple Turnover Perfect with a cup of coffee! We stopped by here after visiting Baseball Hall of Fame, and wanted something for the road on the way back to Boston. Crispy on the outside, delicious apples on the inside. Also try their Cinnamon Rolls too!!!! The girls we met working there were super nice.

One of the oldest bakeries in NY and it's here in Cooperstown. So many choices, from donuts to cookies to brownies to cinnamon rolls....it's all amazing. Grab something and walk around town or the Farmers Museum is close by...ride the carousel!

I ordered 3 dozen special order donuts for my wedding to go on a donut board. When I called to order the woman, who I believe was the owner, was very rude on the phone. I put my credit card on file and reserved the donuts to be picked up on the morning of my wedding. They got the date wrong and there was no one there to make the donuts. They had to scrounge up about a dozen random donuts that were left that morning. No apology from the owner. It s a very cute place and they make good food but the customer service and lack of accountability is awful.

Delicious bakery. I think our team parents tried just about everything & we were so happy to have found a real bakery! We tried the lemon square, chocolate chip cookies, vanilla cupcake with chocolate frosting, & a chocolate peanut butter cookie. The lemon square I received wasn't very lemony. I couldn't see much filling in it, but it was sweet and the pastry was very tender. The cookies were perfect. My husband - the cupcake connoisseur - was very pleased with his selection. I wish I'd have been able to buy a loaf of bread. It looked so fresh & soft.

Baked goods were good but I think their homemade pizza was the best part. So good I had to go back and get more. They only make it on Friday. I was told you could call and order a pie so you could have it on Friday. No idea the cost but to me it would be worth it. Really good

I look up bakeries every time I am visiting a new town. As soon as I saw donuts on their website I was excited. I stepped inside and was in dessert heaven. I bought two Boston cream donuts, a raspberry filled glazed long donut, a chocolate chip cookie, a peanut butter chocolate cookie, and an eclair. The cases were full of sooo many delicious items. If only I could have bought one of each.No pictures because I dug in too quick. It is well worth it to stop in and buy yourself a treat.

Great spot with a welcoming rustic vibe (it is Cooperstown, after all). Grab some baked goods or a coffee for breakfast or lunch and take a walk down to the lake.

We stopped here before an early visit to the Baseball Hall of Fame and it was perfect. If I lived in the area I would be here every day. Big big selection. We had good coffee and a delicious chocolate cake donut, raspberry Bismarck and cinnamon roll. Great old school, excellent bakery. And the young woman at the counter who handled the line and a wide variety of patrons was in rare form. She was awesome. Great spot.

Cute little family owned bakery in town. I had one of their specialty lattes and it was amazing. I also got one of the ham and swiss croissants. The staff were able to warm it up and it was really good!

Everything I tried was delicious. Loafs, cookies, pies everything. And I tried the chilli too and it was shockingly good. Like it had no business being that good. Anyway you have to go!

Bought an $8 coffee that was only 6 oz and tasted like milk and ice. Then they proceeded to call a tow truck company to have my car towed. There are no signs posted about parking regulations.Don t waste your time or money on this place.

don t trust any allergen information, some candies and things like macarons are store bought. most of doughnuts are homemade every morning but some special doughnuts they will keep out for days without discount. They don t keep track of how long things like cannoli and cream puff stay in the cooler, so no telling how soggy they are. The cookies are not baked fresh daily, all baked and then stored in bins. Staff have made inappropriate comments and can be incredibly rude. I like their old fashioned doughnuts but not worth supporting a business with subpar values and poor customer service.Update: I now have an anonymous person harassing me and threatening to leave poor reviews for my place of employment. Gotta love the small town connection.

Is there a better bakery anywhere? I don t think so. 3 breakfasts in a row here, and likely a 4th tomorrow. Grateful for Ian and his patience with our indecision on what to choose! A mandatory stop anytime we are in or near Cooperstown. Don t miss it!

The store was great! Clerks were more than friendly! The lemon square lacked any flavor of lemon. The lemon filling was gummy and the crumble topping was too much. I also purchased a brownie with nuts, while the brownie looked delicious it was very, very dry and fell apart as soon as I touched it. The flavor of the brownie was good. I love their breads so I will just keep buying them.

We opened the door to walk in the bakery at 3:29 and was met by an employee saying she was just about to lock the door. She didn t offer us to come in as one last customer and instead just shut the door in our faces. I understand the shop was closing but why not let a paying customer in, especially when she saw there were children with us. I can t believe a worker would do that, especially in a small town. The small town business owners where I am from would never do that- so disappointing!!!!

I have visited here a handful of times while up in my summer home with my little girl. The two young girls are absolutely darling patient, personable and genuinely kind. They definitely probably deserve a raise and all the tips they can get. Rare to see these days. They talked to sweetly to my outgoing daughter and listened to everything she had to say. I imagine the people that are talked about badly in the reviews have been fired and these have been the replacements if so good job customer service is everything without it you don t have a business. They have a Lotta good treats I haven t tried their homemade bread s but I am sure they are wonderful there broccoli cheddar soup is amazing and I plan to try the chili before I leave the cold. The cream puff wasn t very tasty or fresh seeming, other than that everything s been really good the Russian tea cookies are my favorite coffee as wonderful as well! The donuts are delish.

Rebecca made a small wedding cake for my daughter. It was exactly what she wanted - simple and elegant. Thank you so much

Teddy Roosevelt got cookies here in the early 1900's. Don't believe? There's a photo up in the bakery of him in his car outside the bakery having done just that. I'm told that after this occasion - he was so invigorated by the confections he'd pushed into his mustache that he swam to the bottom of the Otsego lake, pulled the plug at the bottom to drain it - and cleaned the entire lake bottom of everything filthy (model T's, old chain equipment, redcoats) that had accumulated up until that point before doing a triumphant rain dance to call down enough clear, cool water to refill the lake and water the tulips and not a drop more.
