This was our 4th time to Lake & Pines .We celebrate our anniversary every year . It s become a tradition. One of the cleanest motels I ve ever been to. The staff is very friendly . We visit in October . That time of year is quiet . We enjoy the indoor pool and hot tub . The sunrise and sunsets were spectacular . We will definitely return next October. Thank you Lake & Pines for another special weekend !!Rooms: Very clean !!!

Clean room, beautiful view of lake. Close to downtown. Great amenities, hot tub, indoor and outdoor pool. Only wish there was a beach access. Definitely recommend!Nearby activities: 7 miles from downtown Cooperstown

This place is definitely worth more than two stars! Sits quietly onthe mountain side onthe lake, with the most beautiful view! This place has an outdoor & indoor pool, hottub, suana & game room. Even though we had neighbors, that would only stay a night or two, we never heard anyone it was so quite & peaceful!Rooms: The room was good. But there was a weird smell in the room. I would spray for febreeze, so it would come & go, but towards the end of our vacation we didn't smell it anymore.

Beautiful view. Stayed for 2 weeks for work and it was a pleasant experience. Rooms were a little dated and beds were just ok. They did have a nice indoor pool, hot tub and sauna which was nice. There's a pool table and a few arcade games in the game room. Over all its a nice and affordable place to stay on the lake. Reserve early and ask for a room with a lakeside balcony. They only have a few.

This is a really good place to stay. The view is just great. The rooms are perfect for family s up to 4.The only things (pretty major) that brought this down to 3 stars is because when we first got settled into our room, there was no water! So we had to go to the office to get them to fix it. (Thankfully they did)And the water in the indoor pool is disgusting. It is not clear under the water and kinda gross. The hot tub s water is literally brown.I recommend going to the outdoor pool. The pools are very small also. Very very small.

Fabulous place to stay! We stayed here after seeing a concert at Ommegang. It's an easy 20 minute drive to the venue. The room was incredibly clean, the beds were super comfortable and the view from our room was just stunning. We had an extra day to spare after our concert, and we really could've stayed at the motel all day and taken in the lake! Thanks for a great stay!

We were only there for one night, but we loved it! The room was very clean, the heat was on for us when we got there so it was super comfortable coming in from the cold. We needed a new TV remote and the young man working the front desk came right to our room, set up the new remote and we enjoyed talking with him. He was very helpful giving us ideas and recommendations for where to get dinner. The view of the lake was awesome! The breakfast was simple, but nice. All the staff we encountered was super friendly. We will definitely be staying there again in the future as well as recommending it to others.

We stayed for five days. Although a bit outdated this was a very Very well maintained place! It is in a beautiful setting on the lake with a beautiful large deck right on shore for all to enjoy breakfast and your byob evening cocktails with family and friends. Pools were immaculate and we used both indoor and outdoor pool facilities. Warning, the property is on a steep hill so those with mobility limitations would find getting around the property challenging. Overall extremely clean and comfortable. Would definitely go back.

The property is in a lovely spot with nice views. As far as rooms go, I can only speak about cabin 133 and it was terrible. The entire place is full of a mold/mildew smell. Myself and one other guest have allergies and we were coughing, sneezing, stuffy, etc. We had to wear masks inside to help with the smell. The remote was dirty, the bed linens smelled like they'd been stored in a basement, the coffee maker was disgusting, the carpets dirty, etc etc etc. Wanted to like it but it was gross.

I play a state golf tournament nearby every year and I always stay at this nice motel. The people are courteous and the rooms are clean with new carpet and the breakfast is fine, with the guy in charge of helping people during breakfast extremely friendly... Very dependable and quiet. And best of all for me after playing around of golf, I get to sit in their nice little hot tub near the indoor heated pool in the evening to recuperate. Definitely recommend it and I'll be back for years to come. I'd much rather give my money to a family-run place like this then some big corporate chain...!

Quiet , clean, comfortable gem with beautiful views of otsego lake. Can't wait to go back. The only thing I'd change are the mattresses. Hubby was comfortable with his as they are firm . I prefer less spring and more cushion but we made it work. No biggie. Loved the place

I have stayed here 3 times in 5 years. I am from Cooperstown and I come back to visit often. I really liked this place because it's always clean and the pools are maintained. It is right on the lake and theres a beautiful view. However, a lot has changed in 5 years. There is no more breakfast buffet but the cost is the same. You could use the boats, boards and kayaks with no charge up to a few years ago. There are no more paddle boats anymore and the kayaks and paddleboards they have, you now have to rent. It's fairly reasonable at $15/$20 an hour. There is a large hill to climb so catch your breath when heading to the lake. The first night of my last visit there were groups of kids who were running rampant through the place. This I cant blame on the motel. It was loud until after 11pm with screaming, running kids. Be prepared when it's in season.

My fianc and I stayed here for two nights this past weekend and it really exceeded our expectations! Our room was very clean and you really can't beat the price for everything that's included. They have two pools, a whirlpool, sauna, a game room (with a pool table), beautiful lake view with picnic tables and grills, and kayak/paddleboard rentals. The room included a coffee machine, a microwave and a mini fridge. The office staff were incredibly nice and helpful. Lake N' Pines is only about a 13 minute drive to the Baseball Hall of Fame. We truly enjoyed our stay and already know that when we come back to Cooperstown, this is where we're staying. If you're debating on booking your stay here, I highly recommend it!

Wonderful wonderful property! Right on the beautiful lake. Enjoy every morning breakfast sitting on a deck overlooking the lake. The staff was very very nice, since we were a large group of friends they upgraded us to a cottage with a barbeque grill and other amenities you wouldn't expect in a hotel. Relatively close to Cooperstown! Would absolutely recommend staying here

I'd certainly stay here again. Great access to the lake with indoor and outdoor pools. I was happy to have a lake view room with private balcony. My boy loved the game room and ice cream vending machine. It's a throwback to old style motels and I liked it.

Also stayed at the Rustic Cottage, but pretty much disagree with the other comments. For the price ($140 for a 3bdrm in the off-season) it was fine. Furnishings were dated, but the place was clean. Beds were fine. Floors were scratched (prefer hardwood to the horrors hidden in a Motel-6 carpet anyway). It was about 50 feet from the lake. The staff was very friendly and accommodating (offered our kids Easter candy on the way out). Personally, I'm glad that they have not renovated, as they would have to raise the price accordingly. Accommodations were fine, and totally worth it at the price.

Outdated, water stained ceilings, musty smell in room. Views of lake are outstanding. Nice lakefront deck. Closest available food is about 7 miles, and motel does not offer breakfast.

We stayed there for several years over the Thanksgiving Holidays. We found it very enjoyable and satisfying. We didn't stay in a cottage but rented a motel room which had a beautiful view of the lake. The staff was friendly and courteous. The room / bathroom was clean and beds were comfortable. We kept making return trips because of those reasons. It's a good place. We haven't been back there in a couple of years but only because my son moved away from Cooperstown. I'm looking to return to Cooperstown soon for a trip with the grandkids and would surely stay there.

Horrible customer service. My childhood friend and I (both now in our 60s) were planning to visit the HOF in summer of 2021. We booked rooms at the Lake 'N Pines and were planning to make it an annual tradition. We paid for the "Worry Free Booking" but when we had to cancel the trip because of Covid, even though it was within the motel's cancellation period, they wouldn't accept the cancellation because the WFB policy didn't allow for Covid-related cancellations. After multiple requests they refused to cancel the reservation and charged me the full room rate without offering any kind of credit. They got my $200 this year, but will not see another penny.

Check-in was painless. Lady that checked us in was very friendly. Room was super clean. It's a small room, but it's all I needed. The view is unbeatable. Breakfast is in a little cottage by the water. It's not a hot breakfast but got plenty to eat. Highly recommend this motel!
