We are somewhat locals that stayed the night, but must say... very pleased with the whole stay.As a baseball father, coach, etc. If you're coming into town for Cooperstown Dreams Park, it's less than a mile.Cooperstown 3 to 5 miles. We did the king bed suite, which was huge and relaxing with a bathroom off the bedroom with shower behind the door not pictured. But had a jet tub for 2 in the room.Room also offered joining room. But I don't know what the other room was on the otherwise of the door.Has a little sink, refrigerator and cabinets in the livingroom area.Food for dinner we did new york pizza in Cooperstown. Their review will be coming on their page. But Cooperstown has a lot to offer. We will go back...Pool and hot tub was one huge reason we booked it and we were not disappointed. The breakfast was simple and okay.Staff was very friendlyAnd most of all the hotel was up to date and very clean.Bonus we didn't use was a small outdoor playground and grass ball field, washer and dryer area too.I hope this helps.. and enjoy your stay.Rooms: Ours was perfectNearby activities: Cooperstown, dream park, and food food food, Clark's gymsSafety: Would say a very safe areaWalkability: Could walk to McDonald's and if I was traveling for Dream Park, I would consider walkingNoteworthy details: Book it!

My family of 5 and I just left this hotel after a 2-night stay and I m only giving it 2 stars because of its proximity to the Hall of Fame, the spaciousness of our bunk bed suite, and the free coffee in the lobby. Everything else was awful and we will never stay here again.Upon check-in, the front desk staff was not the friendliest, but we chalked it up to our late arrival. The drapes in our room did not fully close and our husband had to use binder clips he happened to have in his briefcase to clip them closed. The TV in the kids bunk bed area was not working. The shampoo ran out while I was in the shower and there was nothing I could do but use the body wash to wash my hair. I understand that giving out mini toiletries is probably not cost effective and I have no problem with providing larger bottles in the shower, but if hotels are going to do that, the cleaning staff needs to check the bottles daily to make sure they are not running low.But the worst experience for us was that from about 5:25 AM until 7:30 AM on our second morning, a woman sat on an outdoor bench that was right underneath our window and talked VERY loudly on her phone using very colorful language. She woke up our entire family, which made for a very horrible morning for our kids.We get it, that wasn t the hotel s fault. But when we were checking out, my husband very kindly mentioned the incident to the man at the front desk and instead of apologizing or even SOUNDING apologetic, he just said, Oh yeah, she s out there all the time, and shrugged it off.Our issue is, if she is out there all the time talking loudly on her phone and waking people up at 5:30 AM, why has she never been asked to stop? Why does the hotel continue to leave a bench right outside of several rooms if there is an issue with people talking loudly during sleeping hours? And why we re not even offered a simple I m sorry when we raised the issue with the front desk worker? That just shows us that this hotel does not value their customers. Our baseball-loving family will certainly return to Cooperstown, but we will be finding somewhere else to stay.

Booked and confirmed a king suite. After checking in I went to the room and it was a suite with 2 queen beds. Returned to desk and was told king suite was not available so I was put in queen suite. Was told it was same size. I said I wanted the king suite I reserved and the queen suite had less room in it because there were 2 beds in it. They finally put me in a standard king room which was smaller and did not have as many amenities. Upon checking out I noticed I was billed for a king suite not a standard king which I used. I was told the queen suite I was originally offered was the same price as the king suite. Even though I stayed in a standard king room they would not adjust the price.I was told by a desk clerk that they do not guarantee the type of room you booked. I was also told the way their reservation system interfaces with the online hotel reservation services like Expedia can lead to overlooking. He told me there were occasions where people showed up with booked and confirmed reservations and they had no rooms whatsoever available for them.Si I was overcharged for a room that I did not use and did not get my reserved room. If you want a specific type of room and want to ensure you definitely have a good reservation, I would skip this place and look elsewhere.

This is not a four star luxury hotel. I gave it four stars because for being a Holiday Inn it was impressive. Very clean, excellent service and friendly staff.Rooms: Rooms were very clean.

This felt like a new hotel bc it was clean and looked well taken care of. I liked the extra desk where my kid could finish her homework on comfortably. This place also has an indoor pool and small fitness center with free weights and cardio machines. The fitness center smelled very much of rubber though so it wasn t too pleasant to huff and puff in there. The complimentary morning breakfast was very nice as well with a pancake machine. The staff there was friendly and knowledgeable as well. We enjoyed our stay there very much!Rooms: The room had a desk underneath the table and a side table with a small couch too

Great staff and great place to stay at. There is plenty of free parking. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. There is a Breakfast buffet in the morning, check the times, the hours of operation does vary by weekday and weekends. The entire hotel is clean. I highly recommend stopping here if you are in the area. Great place to stay over night if you're going to the Baseball Hall of Fame.

I was pleasantly surprised with this location. I don't normally stay at Holiday Inns but when I looked up hotels in the area it seemed like the best option.ProsClean roomClean bathroomEasy to find locationNice staffDecent breakfastConsThere was a very strong perfume smell like they were trying too hard to cover something up.The wifi was extremely slow.

Loved our stay at Holiday Inn Express & Suites Cooperstown. We stayed for one night so we could visit the baseball hall of fame. The staff was really nice throughout the entire stay. The room was nice. Everything seemed newly renovated. The bed was probably one of the most comfortable hotel beds I have ever slept in. The heat worked well and was somewhat quiet. The pool is a decent size and there is a hot tub as well. The gym however, is a little small. There is a small market to buy snacks and medicine in case you need them or forgot. There is also a business center. The breakfast did it s job and before we knew it we were at the hall of fame! Overall we had a great stay. 5 stars.

I recently stayed at Holiday Inn over the weekend when visiting Cooperstown and the Baseball Hall of Fame museum, and I really enjoyed my stay. I am very particular about cleanliness, especially in hotels, and I was very happy with how clean our room was. Everything seemed to be up to date and it was perfect for our quick weekend trip. I would stay there again for another trip to Cooperstown.

We are locals and had our son and his family staying with us when the power went out due to a storm. After freezing for two days we got rooms at this Holiday Inn. Hotel was wonderful. Staff could not have been nicer and helpful. Accomodations clean and shiny. Breakfast was perfect. Fresh and lots of it. Rugs and woodwork looked new. Bright and cheerful. Would recommend this stay anytime to anyone.

We rented three rooms for our 2 night stay. We had reserved 2 handicap rooms and 1 standard room. When we arrived we were given our keys on the second floor. None of the rooms were handicap rooms and one of the rooms was not cleaned for the previous persons stay. We were given a different room and that room had a horrid smell. I requested yet again a different room and was told they were sold out for the night as well as the next night. That was not true, our original room was empty and just needed to be cleaned, unfortunately that seemed to be nobody's job that was at the location. We were stuck in this room. The front desk employee did come up and spray some sort of room deodorizer, which was worse. By the time we left our clothing smelled like this. We will return this area but we will opt. for different accommodations.

A very solid choice when deciding where to stay during a trip to Cooperstown. It has very comfortable rooms, a nice staff and it's pleasantly decorated. In addition, your stay comes with a continental breakfast. There is also a supermarket next door which is convenient if you like to load up on beverages and snacks.....my family definitely does...The hotel is literally five minutes away from Main Street and also close to a few good restaurants. It is a good location and a predictable business/family style hotel. It was our second time there in the past two years and we were very satisfied.

Fantastic breakfast, clean rooms, and helpful staff. We had an issue with the heat in our room on the second night we were there and we were almost immediately whisked into a brand new room a door down. We were very happy with this hotel and will use it again ehen in the area!

Very clean, updated, comfortable rooms. Common spaces open and airy with several seating areas. Indoor pool and hot tub at good temperatures, clean but smaller size and a 5 foot max depth, definitely chlorinated enough. The included breakfast choices were nice; they have a pancake machine that spits out two at the push of a button, cheese and veggie omelets, sausage, various yogurts, juices. etc. The coffee is good made with water other than the heavily chlorinated Cooperstown water. One of the best location prices, booked via AAdvantage (getting miles at 4 to 1). Short drive away from the downtown main drag, Hall of Fame, and Mel's at 22 restaurant with a more rural setting with fields and wildlife. Can't go wrong staying here!

It was a clean hotel. Unfortunately, inconsiderate guests tracked mud and chunks of grass into the lobby two mornings in a row. Highly recommend.Rooms: Nice sized clean rooms.Food & drinks: They have delicious cinnamon rolls as part of breakfast offerings.

I stayed here with my son and daughter while my husband and older son were staying and playing at Cooperstown Dreams Park. This hotel is exactly one mile from CDP. There is a supermarket and a McDonalds in between this hotel and CDP. The hotel was extremely clean, even though there were numerous baseball families staying there! The breakfast was plentiful and perfect for us as we made our way to CDP each morning. Special shout out to the Pancake Machine!! Parking was always available and was well lit. Housekeeping did a great job of making our beds and changing our towels while we were at CDP each day. Our room had a pull-out couch in addition to two beds which was a nice bonus. There was a fridge and microwave in our room. My kids used the indoor pool and hot tub numerous times (one tip - bring a bath towel to the pool as the pool towels were small!) The hotel also had a laundry room. All in all, do not hesitate booking this hotel if you are a Cooperstown Dreams Park family!

Went down for a kid get away for our daughter's eighth birthday with a couple of friends. The hotel was clean and folks were very nice. COVID-19 was a concern but we felt very comfortable with the efforts made at the hotel to keep us all safe. Went swimming and used the hot tub without any issues. Recommend this hotel to any travelers visiting the Cooperstown area.

We had a great visit, very clean, only sad part was that the hot tub broke on the first night of our stay and was not fixed while we were there. I always choose holiday inn and express for quick weekend getaways as the value can't be beat!Rooms: I always book a queen suite as we like having the extra room and kitchenette, rooms are spacious and clean.Food & drinks: Free breakfast in the morning and coffee all day/night. Good selection for breakfast of hot and cold foods.

NOT RECOMMENDEDWorst customer service I ve ever experiencedTerrible experience. Our group was overcharged by $2600 and cause a hardship while traveling 2000 miles from home!No resolution offered by staff. Very unprofessional and rude even though they made a mistake. Manager threatened to kick me out and still charge for the remainder of the stay because the charges were questioned. Manager took almost 3 days to reply to email. On the plus side .Hotel is decent very conveniently located. Breakfast was good.

I stayed here a couple times in September and again in November. Overall, it s nice.Pros:-Friendly staff. Seriously, they have the nicest, most helpful folks in all of Cooperstown (and probably the whole state). Kudos to the entire staff.-Nice location. Convenient and close to downtown.-Clean property and rooms. Great housekeeping.-Rooms have a good layout. I travel for business, so I appreciate a good workstation. The desk is on wheels (which nest nicely inside a built-in console) so it allows me to move around as needed.-Beds are comfortableCons:-Although stylish, the furnishings seem cheap: the door handle was very finicky, the loveseat was too uncomfortable to sit, the microwave was going in and out, the console door to the fridge seemed like it was already falling off its hinges, etc. Overall, no major complaints just several little things that suggest they put style over quality.-The reading sconces are soo sooooo bright white. I was unable to use them for dim lighting. Fortunately, they do have a table lamp with a softer yellow light that I was able to move to the nightstand. Not optimal but an okay workaround.-The breakfast is disappointing, unless you like sausage. Every morning I was there, it was been scrambled eggs with sausage options (turkey sausage, pork sausage, sausage gravy). As someone who does not like sausage, I would have preferred some alternatives sometimes. Their continental breakfast is very run-of-the-mill.

Good location, plenty of parking. Large, clean, modern room. Lots of easily accessible outlets in the room for various electronics and medical devices. Good water pressure with endless hot water. I thought that both the bed and the toilet paper could have been a little softer. Very nice staff and the breakfast was fine.
