Be aware!!! I was practically robbed by Robbie C's. For a simple car tow, I was charged, $500, and was told that they didn't accept credit cards which is a lie and I had to pay cash. I wasn't even given a receipt and because I asked for one I was charged $77.80 more in "towing fees". Almost $600!!! Robbie C's robbed me.*This comment has been edited to tell you (The owner) about this nightmare, as you requested:"Again it's people like this...needing to blame others for their shortcomings" (Your words)... Sounds like I'm not the only unfortunate victim of your shop. The only shortcomings are coming from people like you, who clearly lack morals and decency, based on your reply, disregarding my negative experience with your business. It seems that your earlier reply to my comment simply stating "Spam" was deleted and replaced with this reply. You'd think one would check their records first before emotionally responding. Since you are not fully aware of my unfortunate situation involving the police and your business, I will start at the beginning, as you requested. I was robbed by your shop because I was lied to, overcharged, and charged twice. All of this is unfair business practices. Let me ask you this: Do you think it's fair to only accept cash payment from some people, people who are involved in police calls, when your business do in fact accept credit cards as a form of payment? I was told $500 (cash only). Who carries that amount of money on them, I only had a debit card. You guys had my vehicle, so of course, I couldn't drive to the bank myself, so one of you drivers had to take me. I'm assuming tips for that and the police waking your driver up in the middle of the night were added in that ridiculously high amount of $500. Do you believe that a fee of $500 (cash only) is a reasonable amount to charge for a 21 min. (16mi.) tow? It seems that your driver couldn't remember the mileage and made figures up. On my receipt he first wrote 25 miles, crossed it out, then put 20 miles. The actual distance was 16 miles, but that wouldn't have made a huge difference, due to your high towing fees. My receipt shows all of this. Good thing I requested for one. Do you think it's not shady business practices to charge someone again, accepting their credit card this time, $77.80, when they were originally giving a total of $500 (cash only), just because they requested a receipt? Do you think it's fair to be bias against someone solely because of a police call? Is that how you treat all your customers or just the unfortunate ones that are forced to be your customers, due to wrongful police calls? Yes, you were called by the police due to a false arrest. First, I was robbed of my rights, then I was robbed by your shop. If you would've obtained the facts and the whole story, you would know this. It seems that you are implying that police officers can't possibly be wrong. Well, they can and they were! Hence why they apologized to me and told me they would reach out to you and ask that my money be refunded to me. You can verify all of this with the Sheriff's Office. I'm sure you have their number since you probably have a contract with them. During my unfortunate visit to your shop, I noticed there was a "Thin Blue Line" flag on your wall in support of our men and women in blue, so would you be willing to support them by honoring their request and returning my hard-earned money to me ($577.80)? I understand you run a small business, but overcharging your customers, isn't the route to take for financial gain. If you're willing to make it right and fix the shortcomings that you and your employees displayed, I'm willing to delete and remove these truthful comments. As a true believer in karma, I do not harbor any ill will towards you, your employees, or the officer in question, and these comments were made to simply give my honest review and share my true first-hand experience with your business.

Had to have my vehicle towed. The receptionist was wonderful in helping to get me the best option with my insurance. The tow truck driver was so kind he even helped me remove my baby seat out of the back that I was struggling with.

For several months I worked here and thought it was gonna be a dream come true I'd be able to achieve my life goal of becoming a tow truck driver and mechanic now I had stuff to learn but after several months and countless insults threats and belittling I felt that my dream job was ruined I felt distant from what id grown up loving seeing a man who was once a police officer act like a tyrant and a manipulative one at that acting nice when I listened and be a complete controlling POS I was providing for my family I had appointments I had to cancel I had important family events I had to cancel after well over a weeks notice all because he's king and he rules you once your an employee I was called many names and treated as if I was beneath him and something lower than him I finally had it after I was approached with a closed fist and he had stopped and pointed to leave and go calm down I seriously recommend leaving this business alone and letting them have a solo man do all the illegal inspections not lifting them having unqualified techs look the vehicles over and say ok looks good not listening when someone has a solution and calling them stupid and fat and other belittling comments I seriously seriously don't recommend this place bad employer bad businessEdit for you Danielle:I'm not hiding behind anything, unlike you that hides behind your phone and your husband to make your horrible calls for you. You two are two peas in a pod, truly. I don't need to slander you, your business is bad enough on its own the way you two run it, although I can't be surprised considering the state of it's current ownership was founded on lies and infidelity. Everyone I talk to about you guys has a horrible story to tell about your egregious business practices, which would be okay if you put forth the effort to fix your mistakes but you'd rather spend your time acting like a bored POS teenager on your Google reviews. I'd say do something with yourself but you won't, you'll sit there and rot in the comfort of your own home while you act like you're important or something on Google. You should try being happy once in a while, but IDGAF about your happiness. Fix your business, you have all the time in the world while you sit at home all day long. :) shame on you as a person and as a business owner. I would be embarrassed to be a willfully ignorant as you.

Top notch service! Kim at the front desk was very helpful and professional. Jim was knowledgeable and precise.We were traveling and in a bind at 2am when we found this shop .Our brakes were very bad, and felt it no longer safe to drive.We spent the night in the yard and waited till the 8am opening.They took us right in, and we were finished in about 90 minutesThank you both Peter and Susan Blair

I bring my car to Robbie C's for maintenance and mechanical work. Always pleasure to be there services. Great! You have to make an appointment for any service needs, but they're usually pretty quick about turning around oil changes and other things that don't take long to do such as tire rotations

We are new to the village and needed a closer place to find service for our vehicle. I needed a last-minute inspection for my truck and Robbie C's was able to get me back on the road in no time. As always the service is great. Whenever I call Kim is always very nice and makes sure whatever I need taken care of gets the proper care and AL is the best. They always fix whatever needs to be done in a timely manner and if it needs extra time they let me know how long and the pricing is fair. They do amazing work, are great at communicating pricing and time expectations. Will definitely use these guys in the future!Got a flat tire and needed a new one, every other place told me I had to buy 4 new ones even though just the one was bad. These guys were so flexible and didn't try to tack on stuff I didn't need, I had a few strange requests that they did gladly and called me with a price check for EVERY LAST PIECE!

Editing my review since they have done more work on our vehicles. This past summer we took my van in to have it looked at because it was skipping a bit. They said it was the wiring and replaced the wiring harness...then, while they still had it, after "fixing the problem", it still skipped. So, they took it upon themselves to replace the fuel injectors, without asking or telling us first, which in turn, "knocked stuff loose" into our catalytic converter. They said it was bound to happen and that I now needed a new catalytic converter. So, all in all we paid them about $2000 AND THE SKIPPING IS STILL HAPPENING. Trying to be nice, for whatever reason, we just took our other car down to be inspected and they said it would be another $2000 just to get it inspected! And the tests they ran costed us like 95 bucks!!! We took it to Mavis to have a second opinion and they inspected it for almost a 1/4 of the price! Needless to say, we won't be going back to Robbie C's. It's sad because we really liked them.

After my car got a flat tire Toyota sent them to replace it. They were supposed to show up at 1:45 only to appear after 3, which made me late for work. I called them multiple times and was told that the driver was only "a few minutes away" for over an hour. The guy that did work on my car was really friendly and got the job done quickly but I wish it could have been done when they said they'd do it, instead of long after. If I can avoid doing business with them I will.Edit: I originally posted this in 2017 and they are just now replying to it. Taking their time must be company policy which is pretty hilarious. The best possible experience if you have to get towed. Fast, efficient, and friendly! Uhaul truck lost a front wheel bearing. Uhaul scheduled the service. When I called Robbie C's they said the truck was dispatched and gave me, what turned out to be, an accurate ETA. THANK YOU Robbie C's for such fantastic service!!! HIGHLY recommended.

My car broke down near their exit. They were quick and very courteous with towing my car First thing when they opened they were fast and professional. They went out of their way to pick me up at the hotel and made sure that I was well taken care of. Great price! Awesome customer service! I highly recommend this place. Thank you so much!

I had an appointment to have winter tires put on my car. When I came in I mentioned to the receptionist that the check engine light was on and asked if they would read the code for me.When I get the bill they had tacked on $54 to read the code. Let me be clear. They did not do any diagnostic work, or work to fix any issues, they simply read the code and told me what it said.Any auto parts store would have done this for free. I did not expect them to charge me , but I would certainly understand if they decided to charge $10 dollars so they don't have people coming in all day to read codes.Charging me $54 was deliberately taking advantage of me because I failed to get a price ahead of time.How would you feel if you walked into a diner and ordered a cup of coffee without looking at the menu, then when you get the bill you see the coffee is $20. Is it your fault for not asking? Maybe, but any reasonable person would have expected the coffee to cost $2-3.They deliberately took advantage of me.

I took my Mini Cooper to the dealership and got a quote of $4,000.00 for repairs. I brought my mini to Robbie c s with the printout of repairs and got all the work completed at a savings of $3,000.00. Robbie C's was called to tow my vehicle as a 911 call. They flat bedded my car to their shop then flat bedded it to North side collision and are claiming they never had the keys. I left my keys in the ignition. No one there has an answer to how this should be handled. Hmmmm. Seems to me you would be able to load, unload and load my car again with a steering wheel that would be in a locked position without the key. Maybe I'm incorrect but still a little weird.... absolutely refusing to be held accountable or replace my key ..... which is for a 2001 Subaru outback.... got to love that. Receptionist put me through to the driver twice who was aggressive and very rude..

I put one star because it won't let me do zero. They came out, did not have the right equipment then came the next day, and the driver Dave and his little boyfriend were very rude to my niece and only did half the job they was supposed to do. I contacted Geico about this place

The lady that answered the phone kim was very professional and was not at all upset that I called just before 5pm when most shops close she was very nice on the phone as I explained what is going on with my car have to bring it to them to let the see it so they can hopefully get it fixed

Horrible service! Disrespectful to customers and try to intimidate you into paying more! Wish zero stars was an optionIt's been a few weeks since my terrible ordeal at this place.... Will never go again. They raise their prices depending on the gender of the client. Do not go if you dont know the standard rates of repairs in the area.
