To be honest, I was on my way to Loves when this place caught my attention. So I decided to give it a try. This place is WAY better than Loves. The people are friendly and they make sure that you are taken care of. The food is on another level! You get huge portions at a very reasonable price. Check out the picture of the bacon cheeseburger I ordered. I could only eat half! And, it was sooo good! They have a huge parking area. Yes, it's a dirt lot, but get this, NO POTHOLES!So truckers, if you're going through this area, please make sure you stop by here before going to Loves. Support the Mom and Pop truck stops. You won't be sorry!

I always stay here before going to MA / CT. This is your last mom and pop stop for great 'off the grill' meals vs Massachusetts overpriced and nasty fast food chains.

I stopped at Love's in Canaan NY off I-90 exit3B got fuel but the parking lot was full. Across the street there's a Ambest/CitGo Truck Stop. I parked there for my 10hour rest break. Went in side to see what they had to offer. 1st time staying at Ambest very surprised they cook to order what ever is on the menu very good better than Subway or Dunkin Donuts had my share of those which was at Love's. So Driver's if your in up State NY stop by their. They have really good food I ordered the BLT which you'll see below there's plenty of parking nice people. Remember Driver's Stay safe.

This place is great good food good prices they are doing construction so parking lot is a little messed up but parking is still available

The cheeseburgers are epic, fairly priced and ready quick. I'm from Indiana but stop in here every time I pass by to load up. Cheeseburger for now - a meal unto itself - and a BLT and salad for later, plus whatever else jumps out at me.

Phenomenal sandwiches! I had a pastrami sandwich & they put on about 1/2 lbs of meat! On fresh rye bread too! The place has ample parking & is right across the street from Love's. Family owned and operated! I highly recommend it for the food!

Stopped in looking for directions for a place that serves Sausage Gravy breakfast. They have it here, in a cup! I grabbed it and a breakfast sandwich. Both were AWESOME! What an excellent idea, sausage gravy with biscuits in a cup. Yummy, goodness on the go. The sandwich was big and tasty on a kaiser roll that was super fresh and soft. They also make sandwiches to order, breakfast and lunch hand foods. Definitely gonna stop in again.

This place has the potential for being a powerhouse resource for two townships and they have consistently made choices to not do so! They could offer a small selection of groceries in an area where no grocery stores are available. Nope! They could offer a clean bathroom, and that is not always the case. They could offer a clean shower for those who are camping or traveling, but I have not tried that in several years - it was not wonderful when I used it last. There was a perfectly nice restaurant building next door that could have become once again one of the few places to eat nearby -- what a waste of an opportunity. Just seems like a lot of lost chances to meet local needs. Who knows what challenges they are dealing with?

If you're grabbing something to eat at the Love's across the street you're doing yourself a great injustice. I stopped here a couple weeks ago and let me tell you,I had a terrific pastrami sub. Quick service and terrific food. I'll definitely be back when I get into Massachusetts.

Mom and pop truckstop still going strong even after a new Loves was built across the road.Plenty of parking and a Cat scale.No sit down restaurant but they have a deli and grill and the food is excellent.And good hot coffee!

Welll, Its a toss up between a magical spot that time forgot that has the crustest old crabs working away that shoot you that good old sas or you may actully put you life on line if you temp one of there gressy sammys. I mysellf have slammed a few back and lived to tell the tale tho, mostly when I'm 30 beers deep after a night at the track.

Best 1980s truck stop ever! Wish all truck stops were run like this! I had the double cheeseburger, and it was the best I had in a long time!

Old truckstop. A real mom and pop. Huge parking lot. Deli on site w legit pastrami sandwiches. So good a Big evil corporation swooped in and set up shop across the street. Cheers guys. Will definitely be back.

Awesome place looks like or seems like a little mom and pop convenience store for truckers on one side and travelers on the other side got the best bacon and cheese sandwiches made early in the morning also sausage and egg and not quite sure what else but very nice people

Just a wonderful mom and pop truck stop. Their deli is PHENOMINAL!!! Their sandwiches are huge and the meat and veggies are always fresh. Their rye bread is wonderful. In addition they sell hamburgers and cheeseburgers and other hot sandiwiches that are grilled up as you wait. And they have a huge variety of breakfast sandwiches. I love the sausage eff and cheese sandwich. It s large and filling for a day of travel. And they have a couple standuo tables. I also learned last time through with my camper they have a plug on a power pole out front that they will allow you to use for a short time, and a picnic table out there too. I m so glad they have stayed in business with the new Loves right down the street. They have nice clean bathrooms. And their trucker store is really cool. And if you want to weigh your camper or rv they have a scale and it only costs $10z. Don t waste your time with loves. Omg the food is horrible. The worst subway I ve ever seen. They limit the parking at loves for rvs to an hour so no naps with the camper unless you want to park with the trucks. At AMBest I ve asked several times if I can stay away from the trucks and the answer is always no problem.If your in Cannan New York you can find the AMBest by looking for the loves sign off the highway. You can also spot their sign too but the loves sign is an easy marker. The exit is before/after the first NY toll, depending on your direction. so it s easy to stop. AMBest is on the right as your headed towards loves off the exit. You ll regret not stopping. Just a wonderful place. I m glad they are surviving.

THEY GOT A LIL SANDWICH SHOP IN HERE THAT IS AMAZING. GREAT INGREDIENTS GREAT TASTE. TRUCK DRIVERS DONT GO TO SUBWAY THIS PLACE IS OPEN 247 WITH BREAKFAST. SWEET LIL OL LADY MAKING ALL THE FOOD.

I don t know how they do it. They have the most flavorful sandwiches, dogs, and burgers for the best prices. Go out of your way to eat here.

Truck stop with plenty of parking. I had a double cheeseburger and my daughter had a BLT paid $17 for both and they were very good and huge.

Awesome people in this truck stop. Amazing food also for a quick stop for a bite to eat. They also have many accessories for you're truck also.

I've been here a few times they really would like you to pay to park here but they really won't charge you. The food they make is ok its not amazing or anything half the lot is dirt and they have idle air if your into that kind of thing.

It's the best Ambest truck stop that I know of. The food in the restaurant is great. Lots of truck parking. Easy on and off from 87.

Awesome place , food and people truck accessories and there is a driver's room with tv and tables upstairs. I stop here twice a week , way better than the loves

People are always friendly, sandwiches are always fresh made. Sometimes it's full service. But if not the pumps are slow.
