We had a fantastic buying experience with this small dealer!! My son totaled his car the Friday before Christmas. He found a car at Pete's he was interested in. JR went above and beyond by accommodating us on when we could meet to look at it because we were driving 2h to get there, the Friday before New Year's.I'll admit, I was skeptical because the car was listed significantly lower than any other we had found and it had been in an accident. JR may be the most honest, forthcoming dealer that I've ever met. He offered up information we didn't ask about, brought the car into the shop so my husband could get a better look (it was dark out). He got out cardboard and a flashlight, so he could look underneath and showed him exactly what damage/repairs he could tell had been done to the car.JR explained to my son why his interest rate was higher and exactly what he should focus on to improve it. He explained how to pay extra on the loan and the difference between making payments early vs. paying on the principal. JR didn't force him into buying extra gap insurance, explaining that because his down payment was so large (over 50%) that it would be a waste of money, the car would never be worth less than the loan. Who does that? You just don't find that anymore.I've never had such a great experience with ANY dealer or service station and I'm sure I will be hard pressed to find another. I cannot speak to anything more than the shopping/buying experience, as we just bought the car, but if I were in the market for a used car, I would look at them again.

The insurance company totaled my jeep. JR just happened to have a jeep on his lot. I was very pleased on how he helped me to get the vehicle and address the concerns I had after the purchase. When it comes time to get another vehicle he will be my first stop. He has done some vehicle repair for me in the past. What I like about JR is he will tell you what's wrong , but he won't try to selyou anything you dont need. His team does everything they can to repair it right the first timel

I've been coming here since I got my first car 21 years ago. Straight shooters and you don't ever have to worry about them trying to sell you on stuff you don't actually need fixed.

Never again! I bought 2 cars there. No issues 4 years ago.Second day I had the car the air conditioner wasn't working. Had to bring it in for charging. 2 weeks later the battery died. 2 issues within the first 30 days. They're lucky I love this car. I replaced the battery at an instant oil change shop it since it wouldn't hold a charge and it was 7 pm. I submitted a copy and asked for a refund due to the limited warranty notice that states covered at 100% within the first 3000 miles. No call back. Now they're refusing to reimburse me. The warranty has things they MAY replace. Car had to be jump started, they were closed but I was SUPPOSED to wait for them to open and have them look at it first.I do not think they inspect these cars before they sell them. They definitely do not clean them. Had to take it to the car wash to clean inside and out

I bought a car from Pete Kitt's a few years ago. It was a very nice vehicle and it has served me well. Recently I called them again to look into upgrading into a newer model. Their customer service was as helpful as ever. I had so many questions on how to handle the car I already had, whether to sell it or trade it in, and what's the fastest way to make the upgrade. Customer service handled all the paperwork for me, and it felt so easy. They were patient with me trying to figure out the different makes and models for the upgrade I wanted, and I am very pleased with the final choice I made. I really enjoyed working with them, so it was not simply buying a car, but I feel I even learned some new things about vehicles. I am sure some of these tips will be helpful to me in the future as well!I would definitely recommend them if you are on the market for a vehicle. They are local to Syracuse and have been doing this for 50 years, so that says it all!

Terrible place; they will sell you a car that was in an accident and be completely okay with it. there are 100s and 1000s of cars that are in accidents every day where the airbags deploy, and the the car gets fixed to be driven again. four full year's of repairs And problems. This place doesn't care about your safety Nor your families. Spend the extra money and check the Carfax, chances are your about to get a car that shouldn't even be on the road. you should go elsewhere, for your family's safety! It's not here! They don't care.

Great people to work with! Helpful and experienced! My son and I went there shopping for a car for him. As he is a first time buyer, he was not sure how the process works, and as a mother I was worried he may make a mistake. Pete Kitt's was patient and helpful, they answered all our questions, and to a mother that's what matters. I wanted to be sure my son will get the best car for the money he can afford, something reliable to get to and back from college. The whole process was easy, it took just a day, and my son was so happy to finally be able to have his own car. Thank you for helping us both!

Pete went all out to show us the full selection of vehicles we could afford. Our credit was maxed out and still he got us a loan using our totalled car as a down payment. As well as a reasonably low interest loan. We were very happy with everything he did for us.

These guys are top notch. Real down to earth, family style atmosphere with no sleeze. They make sure they're vehicles are clean , serviced and ready to drive, so you don't leave with junk. I've bought 2 cars from them and won't buy from anyone else. They don't just try to sell you anything, they make sure it's exactly what you need and if they don't have it, they'll get it for you! It has been a driver's dream since I first stumbled apon this lot and walked through their door. These guys work VERY hard to satisfy their customers and I absolutely recommend this place for your next car!

Terrible money hungry people. Sold me a 2004 and it cost over 4,000 dollars. With in the 30 day warrantee I had to keep bringing it back which kept leaving me without a vehicle only for the 30 day warrantee to go up and all the issues to stillsbe there. Less then 2 months later and 1500 dollars and it now drives but all my lights are on. Also was suppose to get some money back from the dmv costs and never received anything. Also they waited till last minute on my registration and almost didn't get it in time but I kept calling all day. I would never advise anyone to go there!!!!!

I will NEVER EVER recommend this place to any single person ever. I bought a Mazda CX-7 from them thinking this was a great car choice. I knew it was but they neglected to tell me how many problems was wrong with it. First of all a few days in my transmission starts acting up so I can't even drive up hills so that's putting my life in danger right there. Second, my Driver shaft is all types of messed up I can't go on the highway without feeling like my life is honestly in danger because of the sounds my car makes when it hits 60mph.... My bearings in my car are also just terrible. I took it back, left it for about a week. Their "mechanic" said that everything was fixed and I took his word for it trusting him. Sure enough ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WAS FIXED... They claimed they fixed my transmission though which was the main problem as they said. But no, they overfilled my transmission fluid so in the long run making it worse. This place has pissed me off beyond believe and I will continue to tell everyone about my awful experience here. And I hope they see this.... Screw this place!!!!!

Don't go there. They don't care about you or your car. You give them thousands of dollars worth of business and they can't even put a door panel back on the right way. I noticed this after putting in $1095.00 into my car and said it's not going to be a quick 5 minute job. Wouldn't you want your car perfect after handing over hard worked money like that? That was the last time I will ever go to that place. Again, do not give your money to this "business."

Made an appointment 2 weeks in advance to get my ac fixed telling them I needed it done by friday giving them a week to charge it. A week later and they havnt brought it in the shop yet. Every time you call you get a bs excuse. Take your cars elsewhere.

They will get you killed if you buy anything used from them they will not fix it either they will send it back in worse condition than before DO NOT BUY FROM THEM
