I worked in the car business at a large dealer for 7 years, dealing with service departments sucks.Dan at pinpoint gives me concierge service. He is honest and reasonably priced. He treats my car that other mechanics are afraid to work on like his own. (Hybrid)My old car was 12 years old and I put a lot of miles on it before giving it to my dad. His long time mechanic screwed it up. Dan swooped in and fixed the mistakes and made the car run better than it ever had while I owned it.I drop my car off, Dan looks at it and sends me a detailed estimate of the issues. (Perfect for introverts). If you can get in with Dan to have him work on your car you re lucky. Dan is the easy button for car repairs and maintenance.

I've been taking my cars to Dan for about 10 years. He's always been good to work with and his prices are fair. His location is a little out of the way for me, but completely worth it to deal with someone I trust.

I have finally found my new mechanic I was pretty nervous requesting a quote because I was anticipating a stressful outcome with all the damage done to my car.. but thankfully, I spoke with Dan and he made the entire process run sooo smoothly. I received a complete CLEAR detailed breakdown of what repairs were suggested to me, the pricing was affordable and I didn't feel misguided at all. I can't express the gratitude enough, I will definitely be coming to Dan moving forward and referring anyone I know!

Great Mechanic, meticulous, trustworthy, and fair. Dan has worked on two of my vehicles over the past few years. I'm always amazed how thoroughly he goes over my vehicles, he has an amazing attention to detail and a great work ethic. He's never half-assed a job, he always repairs it correctly to manufacturers standards. For instance, I recently brought my Prius in for a routine brake job and I asked him to look for an oil leak that I thought I might be having. Dan told me he couldn't find a leak, but my oil reservoir was overfilled(my fault) and could be negatively impacting my mileage. He drained the reservoir to the appropriate level and did the brake job. He could have easily charged me for a hose or a gasket or something -- but he didn't because he's an honest and ethical mechanic. He also noticed a small leak on my right rear tire around the bead and fixed that for free, saying that it was probably pre-existing from when I bought the car from Buffalo Motor Works (I would have just kept adding air to the tire and being frustrated, but Dan found the leak without me even asking). I highly recommend Pinpoint Repair for their excellent customer service and their dedication to doing the job correctly.

In my first use of Pinpoint Repair I was impressed by their examination and repair of my Prius. Time estimates and labor costs represented the actual time and effort associated with service. Dan Sciolino is a very experienced, knowledgeable mechanic (especially with the Toyota Prius). He provides a terrific alternative to dealer service. I recommend him to city residents or those working on the west side.

I own a 2000 BMW 323i and run into a few mechanical problems every year and this is the spot I have and will continue to take it for repairs. Drive shaft, wheel bearings, ABS and misfires, just to name a few of the issues I have come across. Fair, transparent pricing and diagnosis. Would highly recommend.

Very honest and great prices. Pep boys quoted me almost 500 for a repair. Pinpoint quoted me roughly 200. Highly recommend these people.
