Have not been to the dealer s service center for a few years and was quite surprised as to how things have changed. Very clean garage, helpful personnel, appointments adhered to. Waiting area was large, with a big screen TV, complimentary coffee and popcorn and comfortable seating. Spotless bathrooms. Parts department was very helpful and the fellow really went out of his way for me. My only issue: when the fellow was going over possible recommendations as to the work that needed to be done, I noticed one license plate bulb was needed replacement. One of those tiny bulbs. The charge would be: $98. No, I did not omit a decimal. NINETY EIGHT DOLLARS. I took a photo of the suggested work, with prices, paid for my oil change, drove to Auto Zone, paid $8.70 for a package of TWO bulbs and installed it myself. myself. Now I realize the dealer charges more and accept it as fact. But this bulb cost them a star.

I went for 5000 miles tune-up service at the Bayridge Toyota service center, and making an appointment was super easy. I dropped the car at 8 a.m., and the service was done by 10 am. During the wait time, I was asked when the car was dropped and who was working on the car. Mohammed was my service agent, and he was super helpful during the entire process.

On 4/14, Took my car in today for regular maintenance (Oil and Lube and 25 point check). I also asked the service manager to add 2 things to inspect (tailpipe and engine bay firewall insulation). I wanted to show him the areas directly but he said that the technician would figure it out. They found the tailpipe issue but did not check the engine bay issue. I had to go afterwards onto the shop floor and show a technician where to look to confirm my findings. Also, the car was dropped off at 9:30am and service was completed around 12noon but I was not notified until after 1:15pm to pick up. I had called at 11:30am for an ETA but no one in the service department picked up the call. Also, I was charged $4.00 for washer fluid that I did not receive. My washer tank was 3/4 full before service and was the same after (see photos). I called the service manager to complain and request a refund but had to leave a voicemail. To date, 4 hours later, the service manager has not yet called me back. I believe that this happened to me as well during my last service visit. I bought the car at this dealership back in 2012 and have had all of my service done there. Sadly, I am starting to have doubts....Update: As of 04/18, no one from the service department has returned my call.Update 2: Mike from Toyota posted a response on April 23rd to reach out to him to discuss. I emailed him on April 25th with all the details of my visit. As of April 28th, he has yet to respond or acknowledge my email. Perhaps, his initial response was just a stock response.

Went for my one-year maintenance, NYS Inspection, and Second Key Delivery Campaign. My service advisor, Mohammed, made the process super simple. The process was very quick and smooth, with no issues.

Charge you for parts and never deliver.Scammer manager Ken li. Call for updates NOTHING. $900 for what? No parts on urgent repairs stated by experts. It's under warranty, still they charge you. Who's the regional manager? No word since October.

I went for my ToyotaCare service here today and when I got my car back, the car's back bumper was damaged with huge scratches everywhere. There were also huge portions of rubber peeled off completely and smaller scratches all around. Their parking lot for vehicle pickup had metal fences all around and that's probably where the damage came from. Since I had immediately noticed the damage, I was able to speak with Service Advisors, Santos and Kevin, about the problem, and they apologized and asked me to leave it overnight so they can have it fix. However, as I am busy this week, they told me that I can come back anytime to have the back of my car fix at no cost. I am simply leaving this review as proof that they will fix my car when I come back.

They're in the business of upselling service when they have no idea what they are doing. I paid nearly $400 for a diagnostic check on my 2012, they told me I needed new spark plugs and new coils for $2,800. Appalled by the estimate, I took my car to my trusted mechanic upstate. He discovered that I actually need a new head gasket seal - a job that my mechanic can't do because he doesn't have the specialty tools. He didn't charge me for this diagnostic, and doesn't benefit from lying about it since he can't do the work. This means that Bay Ridge would have charged me $2,800 for a repair I didn't need and I would have continued to have issues resulting in another expensive repair if not further damage to my car, driving around with the problem unfixed. They also have a new policy of charging 4% on credit card and debit cards so unless you have a wad of cash, your bill won t be what they quoted. I also find it fishy that they charge sales tax on labor, even if they didn t use parts. Tax law in New York State is that you pay sales tax on physical goods, not on labor.

Came for the maintenance and specifically asked for the back seats to be fixed. Told me the car would be ready by 3:30 pm even though I came at 7:15 AM. They called to say they found a few things they need fixed/replaced (air filters, rodent damage). I was in a hurry for a work meeting so I wasn t thinking straight I said ok sure but I need the car by 2 pm since I have another meeting at 3 pm. The response was - uh not sure we can we will try, but for sure 3:30 - kind of response. I call back 5 minutes later, not even exaggerating saying actually I don t want the services you mentioned just do the oil and the seat that I asked for. He calls me back within 5 min and says oh sorry we finished doing both already too late. I m like so the car is ready?Suddenly the car Is ready at 11 am. WHAT THE F.AND when I come back to pick the car up they DIDN'T DO WHAT I ASKED FOR. only what they wanted to charge me for.Long story short not coming back - go to a different one if you wantUPDATESeriously other ones are much better

I went to this Toyota parts and service for the estimate and repair for my Toyota 4Runner. The estimate was around $3500 dollars for changing the front bumper and parts were damaged due to the accident. Right after I picked up my car, I noticed right away that the grille is not replaced because I could see the crack. So I went back to them. Then they replaced it for me. This is about two weeks after I got the car back. The left side of the front bumper where it connects the left side of fender pops opened. They didn t replaced the parts need to be replaced. I already told them to change whatever parts needed to be changed and put them into the estimate to make sure the car get to be pre-collision condition. I will wait and see how it turn out.

After my initial appointment disappoinment, they really made it up to me .Georgio called and apologized for the sanfu in getting my car repaired, he called me and guaranteed that the problem would be taken care of on my next visit, and it was so!Meeting him we had good rapport found him to be personal and business like. I had a bad taste in my mouth for Bayridge Toyota but with this he really took the edge off. I must say this that I'm not fully back with them, I find that their prices are totally RIDICULOUS!! I guess that's the way with all dealership.

Total ripoff. I got check engine light(i have extended warranty), came to the service to get it fixed. The guy told me it was a rat that chew on the wires, so he asked to replace full wiring box for 3200. I refused, as the car was driving perfectly fine. And of course I was charged 400 for diagnostics.I decided to come to normal mechanic, so it happened to be a fuel sensor that gave check engine light (i could be wrong on that one, but clearly it wqs nothing to do with wiring). And ALL wires were perfectly fine.So FU bay ridge toyota servive center. I don't recommend anyone to come here to get your car fixed, OVER inflated prices and not so professional service.

I was recommended by a friend to go there and see George and also the tech Henry. George was great, but when I came back, my friend told me that the car did not go to Henry. It went to someone else. I specifically requested the technician Henry. I also saw George wrote on the repair order to give to Henry. I m disappointed the dispatcher cannot follow instructions. Overall I had a great experience. However I hope that people learn to follow instructions when they dispatch.

If I could give them 0 I would , they have no experience in mechanic or anything for that nature never again !!! I went in for a over heating problem my car was there for over 5 hours to be told it was the radiator and there was other issues with the car but before I was even told this they charged me $450 just to diagnose my car no fixing no nothing just to tell me what it was the technician then tells me 5 hours later it's 100000 percent my radiator and gave me a entire story about where it was leaking witch I found to be fishy because I never had a leak there but anyways then gives me all these crazy prices and tells me the cars not worth fixing to sell it lol but they where still charging me the $450 diagnose fee lmao to make a long story short I took my car to my mechanic afterwards who tells me who the hell told you it was your radiator the radiator is just find its your water pump and shows me the problem charged me $250 to replace waterpump and labor after the fix my car has never overheated again then tells me all the things the dealer ship said about problems was a lie I haven't fixed my radiator or sold my car like they said and it's running like a baby no problems at all they are full of it and just rob you for your money go to a trusted mechanic not them ever !!!

I arrived for my appointment and was immediately greeted and taken care of politely. I was having 10k mile oil and filter change and tire rotation. In the lounge was a person who would check in with me letting me know the status of my vehicle. The work took a reasonable amount of time. When I went to pick up my car, the valet offered to have it cleaned.Happy to deal with Bay Ridge Toyota.Service: Auto maintenance

Maurice service department intake advisor was excellent and helpful. However the entire servicing process and actual work of repair took a total of 5 hours and that with arriving 45 minutes earlier than appointment time. So don t make plans reserve time specifically for repairs on that day and nothing else. Also the projected time tech said it would take was exact, he said he would finish by 2pm He did complete the job by 2 pm but not earlier so plan ahead to stay the long haul.Services: Vehicle Inspection, Auto maintenance

Overall its a 5star service. 2 things they could do better:-My fuel tank was full and they had to take most of fuel out to replace fuel pump. Could have added back in afterwards? Not sure what happed to that fuel-I dropped off my car in the morning and in the evening they told me they will do service next day because they are short staffed. Could have been more transparentStaff is nice and professional. Overall 5stars for sure

It was the worst experience I ever had with any Toyota service center. I drove my Toyota Avalon 2016 to your location with two problems, the AC blew hot air, and the SRS light was on. Your employee told me will charge me $358 to diagnose each issue which I already told them! That means I will pay $716 plus tax if I will repair my car or not! I told myself it is ok if they will repair the car they will deduct this amount from the labor fee.I left the place as your employee told me and I have to wait for his call on that day or second day, I called the service center the second day asking what is going on. Your employee told me that I needed to change all A/C systems, which would cost me about $10800, and for the SRS the cost would be $2800. And this is the beginning to check what is going on, the $2800 is not granted to solve the car s SRS problem. I told him if I sold my car I would not get this money. He said yes, and you can sell your car and get a new one! Immediately I went to your center and paid $779.55 ( $716plus tax). After that I drove my car to a very good mechanic. He solved the two issues for just $350! There was no need to change the AC compressor, AC lines, Evaporator and many other things, just replaced one wire and no SRS light on and the AC works very well. Frankly speaking, I got robbed of $779.55. My advice forget Toyota service centre Bay Ridge, find a good mechanic.Service: Auto maintenance

Have been coming here for years and always met with great service. Miles helped me this time and explained what my car was due for. He didn't give me any problems for any I declined and never pressured me into anything... Very transparent. Giorgio also helped me add on a service after I had left and the team got everything done in a timely manner. If you know what you need from them then you should have a pleasant experience.Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Tire rotations, Wheel alignment, Wiper blade installation, Auto maintenance, Oil change

I had scheduled an appointment with Bay Ridge Toyota for a frame recall on my 2014 Toyota Tacoma. When I showed up for my appointment I was seen by an advisor and left my car with them. Less than five minutes later I was called by the service advisor saying that they were unable to complete the recall as their shop was not equipped to perform the job. Furthermore the advisor told me that the recall was not available in my area and to disregard the recall all together. I didn t feel that was accurate so I scheduled another appointment at a dealership in Staten Island and they were able to perform my recall with no problem. I can forgive the dealership not being able to perform my recall although it would have been nice to know that while setting my appointment. However the advisor telling to me disregard the recall altogether is very unforgivable as this recall is quite serious and can severely affect the safety of my vehicle if not performed. Other then that the service department procedure was simple and I was seen quickly and promptly however I will not be returning to this dealership nor would I recommend it to anyone else.

They called me up to schedule a service appointment and told me that it would still be covered under my Toyotacare and when I came down they told me I had to pay for the service as my Toyota care had already expired

Easy enough and nice folks. Mike from the service department was especially helpful. He s clearly an expert at reading folks and making transactions go smoothly. The lounge is whatever but it s Toyota. They did what I wanted them to do in a timely manner. It s in a relatively ugly industrial area. It would be much nicer for the neighborhood, customers, employees, the world, if the dealership spent a few bucks beautifying the block. Deal with the garbage. Perhaps a mural in the parking lot. A couple of trees and some flowers go a long way. That s all I ve got.

I took my Prius in for general maintenance with some hesitation, considering the bad reviews listed here. Unfortunately, I should have avoided this service station. My service advisor, Ken, first told me the car should have the tires rebalanced and wheels aligned because it s just what he recommends to NY drivers. This stuck me as odd, so I called two other mechanics for second opinions and they both said you would only need those services if they car warranted it. Ken had not even looked at my car and was suggesting I should do this work, not to mention it would add over $100 to my bill.I declined the extra work, and they went on to look at my car for the general service ($129). After about two hours, Ken called me to say that I needed to get multiple services including transmission fluid service ($599), coolant service ($295), hybrid battery service ($299), and wheel alignment ($189). At this point, I took his advice with a grain of salt and declined his suggestions. Also, the pricing seemed like a complete rip off.The next day, I drove my car up to my previous mechanic, Langway Toyota of Newport (yup, 4 hours to Rhode Island) to get a second opinion. After their check up they had NO additional suggestions for further work.I m glad that I didn t fall for Ken s baseless claims about the work my car supposedly needed and trusted my gut. I will never go back to this service station and wouldn t recommend it to anyone. As a side note, a sales person approached me while I was waiting for my car to be checked in. He suggested that I should look at the 2023 cars on the floor. I said no thank you, and he kept pushing me to look at the cars and considering trading in my Prius. I basically had to tell him to go away to leave me alone, because he was so pushy. Really rude and unpleasant experience all around.

Bought new car. Sales rep Jeudy Mendoza was a real cool guy. Not pushy. Willing to work toward my price point. Chauffeur me to the bank. Sealed the deal in no time. Everything went smoothly and without stress. Drove home with new car the same day. Will definitely come back again for second car very soon, as soon as they have inventory.

Scheduled for 8:30am appointment for a running board parts install.I was quoted a 11am-12pm finish time. I didn t get my car back until 4pm! I wasted an entire day waiting at the service department.Additionally, the install was poor as they couldn t get one of the running boards to lock for the longest time. Even after they did, one rivet was left undone because they couldn t get the bolt out. Now there s a gap in between the body of the car and the running board. See photo. Not cool for something that cost over $1k!Service: Auto body & trim replacement

Not a very customer friendly place, they really have poor customer awareness.. took ~3 hrs to get an oil change. Also, I needed them to change out my headlight bulb, told 2 different person, they wrote down info. After 3hrs, I found out the technician didn't know which one to change so it wasn't changed. Instead they gave me a list of bunch of non-urgent issues with the car. One good thing is that they do provide free car wash at the end if you ask, which I am thankful for.Service: Auto maintenance
