Absolute crook, took my explorer to get blower motor repaired and left with a broken glovebox, they broke it and just placed it back and now whenever i hit a bump it falls off!

The owner, Mohamad, provides excellent customer service to his clients. He works all day long six days a week, but is always friendly, upbeat, laughing, and greeting you (and the neighbors) with a smile. His staff executes on what Mohamad promises to you so you can trust your vehicle is going to be returned to you as you hoped it would be.Few companies can call themselves TOP NOTCH and can live up to the name, but Top Notch Auto Repair delivers 100%Thank you Mohamad!Service: Auto body & trim repair

This place is an absolute gem and being a woman, they didn t make me feel ashamed for not knowing certain things about my car but instead, they gently explained what was happening and how to fix it. They re basically a one stop shop. They do electrical, body work, alarms, diagnostics plus so much more. I d recommend them.

As a woman, a lot of auto shops will try to get over on you, but not Mohammed! He is extremely honest, kind and his prices are great. The turn around time is usually very quick and they always do a thorough job. Would highly recommend!

It is hard to find an honest and good car mechanic-- the good news is, that if you are looking for one, you can stop right here!I have been bringing my car here for many years ( over 10!) Mohammad has been always on point , on time and the money!His service is fast, reliable and affordable!Very highly recommend him and his boys!

If you have to get your car fixed, take it here. Hands down the best mechanic in Central Brooklyn and no one paid me to say that. Mohammed (sp?) who s the lead mechanic or owner (not sure what his title is) is incredibly friendly and fair. It s almost hard to believe that there s a mechanic out there who isn t trying to screw you but - judging by my great experience there it s true. Highly recommend and there s a reason why they are a 4.4.Service: Body & Trim

It took me years and many unneeded repairs to find an honest, reliable, reasonable mechanic. Mohammad is pure gold. He and his mechanics work ridiculously fast, don't overcharge and get the job done right--note all the livery and yellow cabs out front. That to me says it all.

Mohammed has always been fair with me and done a good job fixing my car. 15 years I've been going to him and I've never felt cheated. Much cheaper than places in Manhattan where I live now. That's why I always go back to him in Brooklyn to get my car serviced.

Brought it in for an oil change before a long road trip with the family - actually did not quite need an oil change but I wanted to get fluids checked/ topped off so brought it in early. Asked the guy repeatedly to please check and top off fluids. The next day about a quarter of the way into my long summer road trip I find out that they did not top up anything.Coolant was well below the min fill line - I had to buy a bottle at a gas station and wait an hour on the side of the road for engine to cool down so I could top up myself. My fault for assuming the guy did what I asked him to.

I was a tourist in Brooklyn and had a car problem. My daughter found this place on google with 4.5 stars. All I could do is hope that I could get the car fixed and be taken advantage of. Mohammed fixed my car and well within range of a price that my mechanic had said was what he would charge. This mechanic fixed the car of a customer he would likely never see again and did that repair at a very fair and reasonable price. This is the kind of business I would frequent if I lived here.On top of that, I'm a Red Sox fan, and still he helped me.

I've been going to Top Notch for years. Muhammad is a great guy-- knowledgeable, friendly, and honest. Sometimes when I pass by I wave to him or even stop and say hello. I trust Mohammad; and to my mind, that is the ultimate compliment to an auto service place.

This business double parks the cars that it works on in the active traffic lane. If you leave your car here, you are opening yourself up to getting a ticket because these guys want to steal public space and block honest people who are just trying to use the street.

Wow this place is terrible. Let me explain:I had several brake rotors and pads replaced here in Dec '14. Soon after I noticed that the steering wheel would vibrate when I applied the brakes, but didn't think too much of it. By summer I could hear a scraping sound when I applied the brakes and thought that was a bigger issue. I took the car back in Oct '15 and they said they would need to change the rotors and brake pads again. I said no thanks, I would take it to the dealership.Here's where it gets crazy. I drove my car away from the shop, having left it there overnight, and the brakes became increasingly spongy. Within 10 minutes I could push the brakes to the floor and the car would only slow slightly. It was like that nightmare where your brakes stop working. I drove back immediately, going very slowly, with my hand on the e-brake, trying to use the brakes as little as possible."Top Notch" said they needed to replace the brake fluid line, as it had rusted and the fluid leaked out. Not sure why they didn't notice this when they checked out the brakes, since they showed me where the leak later was and it was very obvious.Ok let's recap so far: I noticed a scraping sound when I applied the brakes so I took the car in. They told me the problem was the part they had themselves had replaced less then a year before. I said I would take the car elsewhere. However, when I left the shop, the brakes stopped working within 10 minutes. What?!Meanwhile, when I finally got the car to the dealership in Manhattan I was told that there were all kinds of other problems that they had missed, including extensive corrosion in multiple areas, a broken front axle, a broken O2 sensor, and more. They said the car was totaled. So I was about to pay "Top Notch" to repair the brakes on a totaled car. Top Notch!I will never go here again, and I suggest you do the same.

They didn't bother alert us to the fact that our car was so rusted that it only had a few more months of life; instead, they charged us a lot for some poor quality rotors and brake pads that we wouldn't have spent money on if we'd known the car was toast. Also, when we went, they only took cash because "the boss wasn't there"...what? This place is sketchy, and did poor quality work. Stay away.

This guy is a crook. I took my car in to be checked for a check engine light and he said he "fixed" it and need to change 2 parts. He charged me $400. A few days later the light came back on, I took it back 2 more times for the same reason. I finally made up my mind that this guy had no idea what was wrong with my car....I don't even believe he changed anything. Stay away from this place...

Horrible service.i bet some people writing these.reviews are fake or his people trying.to make it look good. Take it from me my whole.family used.to go there he always claimed it was.something else wrong with the cars. Inspection with this man cost us 100 each time he supposedly said it failed. Dont believe me see for yourself. He even said it himself he takes when he needs to. Months after i stopped going i work for a car part delivery center and had to deliver a car part to him this guy cheated a man and.fought and had cops come and stop it. Recently today he.scammed my neighbor now hes in court and his inspection machine is at jeopardy of being lost. So stop posting positive comments that are fake. Yeah i said it. There are.better.honest mechanics in brooklyn look em up

Greatest mechanic I had in many years right on point with his diagnosis of car problems prices are very in line for the repairs and Mohammed is a nice person I recommend him highly!!!!

Love this place.. 1 of 2 places I go to get work done kn my car. Very professional and pretty fast with the turn around.. but that mainly depends on the condition...This is the goto spot!
