The owner is former law enforcement, he knows his way around cars and while you wait to get your service done he'll bust your chops for any dumb thing you say or do. It can't get any more authentic to the New York auto shop experience than that. He's got some decent jokes so getting roasted by him doesn't make you feel bad haha. Great atmosphere and the work is top notch. You won't be disappointed. If you're close and need some work done I suggest this spot for sure.

This is the very best Auto Mechanic shop ever. The owner is a very positive, charismatic and enjoyable person to be around. It's almost infectious. John who can be found behind the desk is a driven, polite and very knowledgeable. With this combination, you just can't lose. Great atmosphere and knowledgeable Mechanics and Body Work professionals. This shop is a good send and I will keep coming here for my automotive needs. Always....

This place is trash. The govt is wasting its money in this place. They tell you when it s going to be ready and it s not ready on time. Then they tell you we re working on it . They take on jobs that they can t handle and then your car gets back to you worse than when you came in. Panels all wrong and put together without clips. Don t be afraid to report to GSA.

Great place to bring your car. Knowledge filled people and will give it to you straight as well. Everyone s super friendly and prices are reasonable. Will go again!

Huuuuge thank you to Joey at 1811!Last week I locked my keys in my car a few blocks from the shop with 30 minutes until I had to be at work. I ran over to the shop and told him my situation and he dropped what he was doing, walked over to my car with me, opened my door in 10 seconds and didn t even accept money when I offered to pay him!! Truly a stand up guy Also, I had them fix my rear bumper a few months back and they did a great job for a fair price. These guys know what they re doing and appreciate their customers.10/10

This place has ruined my wife s car. When they rewired the car a few days later the car wouldn t operate correctly. I brought it to the dealer and was told that there were exposed wires to the elements and was most likely the reason I had to go to the dealer. On top of this experience the management was extremely rude and blamed us. They said we caused the damage ourselves which I don t have any idea how that s possible. DO NOT a ring your vehicle here unless you want to donate to Kars for Kids.

Terrible wiring and inefficient tinting job. I ve witnessed first hand the crew work at their leisure. The crew does nothing but scavenge for parts just to complete their job at an unsatisfactory level, have you come back, and continue to do the same job. Car was compromised multiple times. I do not recommend. But if you must go, go at your own risk. Trust me, it s not worth the reward or lack thereof.

Had to get all seven of the trucks rewired because of this shops terrible emergency lighting job, both of the shops that rewired our cars (completely separate vendors) said they have never seen such bad and incorrect wiring. Exposed wires, improper grounding, and blown audio speakers within two years. Also, the vendor who installed our safes reiterated the same things, the wiring on your lights are terrible . These are the facts, I have never met the owner and have no ill will, just manage a small fleet of cars and leaving honest review. As you can see the response below, very unprofessional.

First time here to this place, one of the places my insurance company had on their list to do a photo inspection. So glad I went here, the owner (I assume) Joe was very nice and even took the time to give my son such valuable advice in life. He knew exactly what I needed without even me having to utter a word, I could tell he has lots of experience. His transition from talking to taking care of business was seamless. When it's time to do my maintenance I will definitely come back!

I didn t even have any work done on my car just went in to ask about my vehicle and the guy starts asking me who you from, where you from, where you live. Waste of time this place no respect

Made a joke at my expense when entering - I hadn't even introduced myself. After inspection, they recommended services I had just done and were clearly new - like air filters and brake pads. I don't trust them at all.Service: BatteryService: Battery

Honest Mechanics - Joe and Hector were recommended to me by the Classic Car Club in Manhattan. I was being taken advantage of by the folks at Citywide / Tows R US (they wanted $1000 for a battery/alternator after pretending they couldnt jump start my car). Hector sent a mechanic to pick up my car in manhattan, jump start it and then swap out the old battery. These guys are very friendly and were very helpful.
