Excellent service and fast. Super friendly guys, answered the phone (this is not always the case, really), honest about how long the wait was, did everything efficiently. Nice easy in and out too, not a nightmare like some places. Highly recommend

Been a customer here for years as I live close by and have brought multiple cars that I own/owned to be serviced by them. Very good work for reasonable prices much more competitive pricing as opposed to dealerships and Faiz and staff take time to explain what your car needs and why. Recommend

Went in for an alignment, they took me same day and I was out in 30 min, for half the price of the dealer. They were super nice, I hung out in the lobby, and my car drives fantastic now. Would go back for any basic maintenance, they seem to know what they re doing :).

There are tons of options in the neighborhood, but Ahz and the Modern Auto Repair team have always taken good car of my fleet. Reasonable pricing, reliable work, and maybe, most importantly, they work to keep repeat business. I appreciate their flexibility and trust, as sometimes I ve had to pay them a few weeks after work done!

This place really is doing it right. They get you in and out, no time wasted, and are VERY friendly. I take my car to get inspected here every year and they are just a pleasure to work with. On a street that has a lot of auto options, this is the one you should stick with.

THANK YOU is not enough. Faiz and his team stayed open past their closing time to inspect and advise me and my son on a car purchase, like we were bringing a patient into an emergency room. I still can't believe how accomodating, professional, thorough and kind they all were - to total strangers. These guys are nothing but nice to me, I ve only gone twice once for inspection and once for an oil change. They were considerate and honest. I went both times on Sundays where other shops in the area said it would be an hour or 2 wait and these guys have me in and out in 30 minutes.

I used their service a few times and they have always been professional. Today I brought my Chevy Traverse for alignment and transmission fluid change. They called me to tell me that my front shocks and struts were bad. I kind of knew it, so I decided to replace them. They completed all the work in record time. I'm very satisfed with their work. Have used this auto shop for a few years for basic maintenance/repairs (oil, brake pads): prices were ok, and I did not see anything wrong. The car developed some play and noise on the front end: diagnosis was a left half-axle going bad. It was replaced at the shop, the problem largely went away for a while. Them more front end play developed, so I went in again for the check. Now I was told that the other half-axle is bad, but also that the main problem that caused all problems was the damaged transfer case (was an all-wheel car), and it had to be replaced, which for my car's model meant that the entire transmission had to be replaced as transfer case/transmission is a single unit. Was given a quote (almost $2000) for a used unit in a good condition which had to be ordered immediately as it was likely to be gone as it was such a great deal. I decided to take the car to another auto shop nearby: replaced the half-axle and the wheel ball-bearings on the right side: no problem with the transfer case noticed at all. That was three years ago, and the car had been driving perfectly. The mechanics/owners at the Modern Auto Repair are very dishonest about the diagnosis and will force much more expensive repairs than needed upon customers. Also they used poor quality parts as I had to replace break pads one year after they were replaced at the Modern Auto Repair. The place is to be avoided and not trusted at all.Services: Tires, Brakes

I Used This Shop 5-6 Years for A COUPLE OF CARS.It Was MOSTLY All Right .But Last My Visit Shop Them Change Transmission Shift Cablefor $345-cash) .Cable Price Around -$30 + Job 45'($120-$140).I Never Visit That Shop Any More.Be Carefully Especially With Manager & Young Guy Who Works There.

These guys are awesome. I happened to find them when my car died on a Sunday morning and no one else was open. I found them to be friendly and didn't try to upsell me on anything.They were able to replace my starter and battery is a few hours and didn't charge me a crazy price. They also changed my oil and even looked at my brakes. Its a bit out of the way for me in Sunnyside, but if you live in Astoria and need a mechanic these guys are great!

Was in a jam, car needed the following repairs - Transfer Case, Drive Shaft and 1 steering angle. I agreed to pay $1300 to fix everything with used car parts. When I got the car back, the alignment was completely off and had to be adjusted so I bought it back. The car never felt the same after the repairs, and after a few weeks the car continued to get worse, so I brought it to my trusted family mechanic who I've used my whole life.Turns out, the drive shaft they installed was BROKEN, just slightly less broken then the original fix. Had to completely replace.Beware bringing your car here.

Went for oil change.Un invited guy came and started inspecting my vehicle.He came up with both rear shock absorbers are torn out since they didn t had the cover.I asked for the logic behind his rationale for torn out and started making stories.In competent staff. Good place to get you ripped off.

There is no one like Modern. All your vehicle need is just a visit to Modern and they will kwik fit for you. Very decent peoples highly recommended.
