So far my experience with Motorworks has been clear and concise. They worked it out for me to get my truck back quicker than expected and not only that given it new life. With the new engine I m hoping to get another 250k miles out of it. Thank you to Doug & Gary for helping me get the exact match for it.

From my first phone call to Doug st motorworks I was confident that my son's car was in great hands. Was given a couple options with the pros and cons. Doug was happy to answer all my questions and concerns. I would highly recommend Motorworks in Amityville to everyone with any engine troubles.

Motorworks installed a low mileage used engine in my minivan after my engine repair was too costly. The engine runs well. They did an excellent job and I have had no problems with it.

I brought my 2009 Mustang in for an engine replacement due to several underlying issues with my motor. Beforehand, Doug was in constant contact with me and provided me with everything I needed to know throughout the process and provided me with regular updates, from shipment of the motor to installation. They are very professional and definitely know what they are doing. If you are looking to replace your motor I highly recommend bringing your vehicle here if you are in the area.

Gray & his crew at Motorworks are awesome, my van was in need of a new engine for my 2011 Ford E250 van, the engine kept blowing spark plugs, and cylinder heads were shot, originally I was looking around for brand new vans, nothing is available until 2024 or 25, so I decided to replace my engine, I spoke to Gary on the phone about replacing the engine, he sold me over the phone, I signed a contract with him, the engine came into the shop, only took them 4 days to install it, I got my van back to life.I highly recommend using Motorworks.Rockstar Electric Trevor

The folks over at motorworks engine center are very knowledgeable trustworthy and give you fair honest 'pricing our experience was nothing but pleasurable. We 1st started off at the Volkswagen dealership where we had gotten a estimate of a $6000 for a car repair which was too excessive so we ended up looking for a second Opinion and I'm so glad we did. Doug took the time to explain what the process was walked us through his shop and gave us a very very fair pricing for making the car repair less than $2000. We would highly recommend motorworks engine center to any of our friends and family great group of guys thanks again

I have a 2004 F150 that had a locked up engine. I found Motorworks by accident while viewing an ad for another truck that had work done by them. I researched them online, spoke to Gary on the phone and was impressed enough to visit and gather information, set up an appointment to bring in my truck and left a deposit. My Remanufactured engine arrived 4-5 weeks before anticipated, towed my truck down 3 days later and had it back in less than a week. I knew it would be a job with a lot of rusted bolts and other parts that would need to be replaced. Gary and his crew did a great job with all that and at a fair price. My truck runs great. I HIGHLY recommend Motorworks. Thanks GaryI brought my truck back, not for an engine issue but an unrelated issue with a transmission dipstick tube. Gary did get it in and repaired as quick as it was possible. Thanks again Gary

I have a 2008 Chevy Avalanche which had some issues and needed a new motor to fix the problems. I brought my truck to Motorworks to get a rebuild and had a great experience with Gary and Doug. Very upfront, knowledgeable, honest and great customer service. Had a few more issues that they discovered and were able to put me in the right direction to help rectify. I highly recommend this business.

Awesome Professional Company. My 2013 SRX 110K miles wasn't passing inspection due to a misfire cylinder 2 low compression. Mechanic said it could be rings, a valve, head, don't know until he starts taking it all apart & the cost could be close to 8K with new timing chains.Found these guy's on a google search. Spoke to Doug, told me what they do. He found a low mileage replacement motor.Dropped off Monday morning Drove home Thursday. 3 day's. They even replaced the Radiator & manufactured a custom drive shaft strap since they were bad to. Way under the price I was getting to fix the original problem. How awesome is that. My Cadi drives like the day I bought it new at the dealer. I don't have to buy a new car now. Great Company.

My experience with Motorworks was extremely positive. I dealt with Gary, he was very professional throughout the entire process. From the initial consult to final payment, he answered all questions that need to be answered and if he didn't know the answer right away he didn't b.s. me at all, he stopped and researched before giving me an answer. I was very pleased and comfortable with the amount of money it cost. Yet it's too early to tell if it is all on, I'm very confident that if there is any problem Gary will stand by his work.

My 2016 Ford Explorer engine unexpectedly decided that it had enough of this life and died. While I'm sure everyone would agree that having to replace your engine isn't something anyone would look forward to, the folks at Motorworks made it a seamless process and provided multiple options to keep costs down. The communication and quality of work were top notch and I would feel very comfortable recommending them to my friends and family.

Had the engine replaced on my 2017 Malibu. Got it back earlier than expected. Had a problem, brought it back and they took care of it same day. Remember when you have major work done on your car there can always be a hitch. It's how it's taken care of after the hitch and they did a great jobMy car now runs like new again.Highly recommend this shop.

Motor Works Center was a referral from a tradesman I previously encountered who knew my expectations of honesty and reliability of workmanship. Doug and his crew replaced my well maintained but worthily used 2004 Ram 2500 truck engine, which to this day, 9 months later has performed excellently. Doug knew I wanted to keep my truck for an extended time, his suggestion to change out many of my original and other worn out parts that had to be re-installed anyway was a great idea. Sure there was an up-charge price difference for the new parts and I expected that- but if those parts failed along the way- far more expensive it would be to repair or replace. Now I drive with confidence, worry free short and more importantly long distances knowing vital parts are new and reliable.I would recommend and bring family and friends to Motor Works with the confidence that quality work would be done but as importantly, they would be treated with the respect that give all a piece of mind.

Motorworks was fantastic. I worked with the team over the phone, had my vehicle delivered having never met the anyone at the shop, and the work completed in a timely fashion. They kept me abreast of the work and any issues that arose. When I decided to replace the A/C lines in my 25 year old vehicle, they helped me source the right part to get my car back on the road. This shop 100% puts the customer first, does amazing work, and left me really happy. I would recommend this company to anyone looking to replace an engine.

Brought my car into Motorworks since my mechanic recommended them.I needed a water pump, new thermostat and hose replacements. Although I can't fault them for late and wrong parts they claim they were delivered, The car was there for 2 and a half days. Was this a case of BS or truth? They were very professional and when the car was near ready they discovered the Alternator was overheating and required replacement. The got the part within the same day and was able to pickup the car. The price price was steep, but then again welcome to NY and they to have bills to meet. The car has been running fine ever since except for a heater hose dripping which was not their fault since it is berried under the manifold and was an original hose. SO in all fairness to Motorworks I feel they are competent reasonable and would use them for any future Engine work my regular shop does not do!

I am posting this review for my friend who would like to remain anonymous. Moto works did a great job however he is on the fence on whether or not its worth replacing an engine. First off, it cost like $8000, he had a couple of issues but it was rectified by motor works. Just the inconvenience of bringing your car back to the location if you dont live close. Also would like to note as part of the warranty, the oil needs to be changed at or before 1000 miles and then every 3000 miles after that. Far more frequent than the recommended oil change from the manufacturer. Also to note, although you are getting a new rebuilt engine, many of the old parts are re-used. Parts such as water pump, intake system, entire exhaust, belts, electronics and ac components are re-used. So if your car has a 100k miles, keep in mind even after engine replacement, those parts still have 100k miles on it. Again, no offense to motor works but just hope this helps people make a more informed decision on whether its worth or not.

I was referred to Gary at Motorworks, after the motor in my 2014 Hyundai Tucson died. After discussing my options with Gary, and since I wanted to keep the car, I decided it made the most sense to re-build the engine and repair the air conditioning, which was not working properly before the issue with the engine.Motorworks completed the work quickly and as per the quote that Gary & I agreed to. Gary also made some adjustments, after the initial engine re-build/AC repair that I really appreciate.I highly recommend Motorworks. Thank you so much Gary & staff.

I could not be happier with the level of customer service from Doug, Gary and the entire team at Motorworks. My 2005 Ford Sport Trac needed a new engine and from start to finish, it was the best level of service across the board. They took great care of my car and it is now back on the road running better than ever! In addition, Doug took care of an unrelated issue with the lock on the drivers side door without me having to ask. It didn't go unnoticed. Thank you guys.. Very happy! :-)

This is my second time using Motorworks in the past decade, and if it were possible to leave a 6 star review, I would. Doug and Gary are honest guys who take pride in their shop's work and stand behind it. Experience matters and there's a reason business is booming at Motorworks. Pricing is fair, the wrenching is done correctly and quickly, and customer service is truly outstanding. 2011 Wrangler runs like new again and we couldn't be happier. Many Thanks and Keep up the great work!

Motorworks did a great job on my 1999 Jeep Wrangler. Doug and Gary were very helpful and explained everything before starting work. I even got a tour of the shop. They were up front about the time it would take, and possible added costs for that could come up during the replacement of my 4.0 6cyl motor and clutch. When I had a minor issue one month later, they made the repair without a fuss. This is a great shop! Thanks again guys.

Great experience with Motorworks. I had to replace the 5.7 engine in my 2011 Ram after experiencing major damage caused by lifter failure inherent in this generation of the engine. I found the folks there very knowledgeable and they even made a couple of recommendations on replacing some engine components as preventive maintenance against end of life failure. Install was about one week and the engine ran great when I picked up the truck. Few if any places around anymore that specialize in engine replacement. I would recommend giving Motorworks a call if you're in the market for a new engine.
