These days it s hard to find honest, reputable, and excellent service. Hands down Cody and Roy are these kind of people. Replaced my transmission in a timely matter, answered every question I had and I will definitely be recommending them to family and friends. I had a remanufactured transmission installed Sept 2022. They did a great job my truck is running great. I was approaching my 30,000 mile limit for trans service. We were going on vacation i spoke with Roy n Cody a day before we were leaving for our trip. They got me in did trans service. New fluid etc . Trans is running smooth. Thanks so much Cody he is great. Folks i highly recommend using this shop. Roy is awesome to talk with. Especially if your a Giants fan. This shop is fair, honest, and stand by there work. Cody at aamco of Lakewood was the most understanding, kindest person I ever dealt with at a Car Place! He assured me he was going to find out the problem with my car not only that but Cody helped me figure out how I was going to pay for the service he went above and beyond his duties of his job!! he explained everything that they were going to do to my car and the day I picked it up he explained that they did do!! my son Kenny was with me when I picked up my car and he will be bringing his truck there to get serviced because of the great service I received with my car!! Thank you Cody I truly feel blessed that I got to meet you and that you were the one who helped me with everything I needed done with my car aamco of Lakewood is very lucky to have you as an employee there!!! Mike and Roy are two of the most honest and professional people that you can deal with in this line of work. I ve been going to them for a few years and have always been very pleased with their service. I won t even consider going anywhere else to get my vehicle serviced. Top notch crew there, I highly recommend them.

This review is for my buddy Gary Wombough, who isn't online. Roy and his crew did a great job, from arranging to have his vehicle, a 2000 Ford Explorer, towed in, to getting the job done in a timely manner at the price that was originally quoted, with no surprises! They diagnosed the problems quickly, ordered and installed the required parts, and road tested the vehicle, with a thorough explanation of everything. I've heard good things about this shop for years and recommended it to my friend for his repairs. They did an excellent job, in my opinion!

From start to finish i could not have asked for a better auto shop to properly diagnose our bad transmission and replace with new in a very reasonable amount of time...Cody the Service writer was amazing! Thoughtful, patient, understanding - SUPER CUSTOMER ORIENTED !!!Both Kody and Roy are pleasant, thorough and kind people. And the quality of the work is excellent !!!My son's car wasn't drivable due to a shot transmission. They scheduled a free tow, after giving me my price options, and managed to get the car back within a few days. They also provided me with photos of one shot axle, and a toasted (rusted out and cracked - leaking) oil pan, that we decided to get replaced.They also scheduled a 10 day follow up recheck - after returning the car to us - no extra fees - to be certain that after driving and running the car all the work and parts are still up to par - that says a LOT !!!No more leaks, and no more transmission issues. No more check engine light , and the car is driving and running very nicely . And there's a warranty on the Transmission, a little extra security to boot ...Thanks again Kody, Roy, and the rest of the AAMCO team !!!Services: Transmission, Steering & suspension repair, Oil change

I am so satisfied and pleased how informative and professional this AAMCO treated me. Cody Wittenberg made my experience at the most quality way! I needed a new transmission and these guys were great with working around my schedule. I was without my truck for only 2 days and they did a follow up 2 weeks after to make sure that everything was running good. I had a great experience with Roy, Mike and their team. My truck was diagnosed and repaired correctly, for a fair price with a quick turn around. I was kept informed during repairs and the job was explained to me clearly.Honest, fair and knowledgeable.I highly recommend Lakewood Aamco and will use them for any future repairs.

Mike and Roy were wonderful to work with. They were very friendly and took time hearing us out and working with us to meet our budget. They ordered a new valve body and booked us for service the day after it came in. Work was quick, cheap and the car runs fantastic. I highly recommend this location! From the moment you walk, until the moment you walk out, they make you feel comfortable. I had the pleasure of dealing with Mike. He explained everything to me and made sure I completely understood what the issues were with my vehicle. Not only did he get me back on the road in a timely manner, the price was extremely fair! I havn't seen a shop ran so effeciently in awhile... I will definitely be back!

Highly recommended. First off Mike the mechanic is awesome, responsive, keeps you updated and knowledgable. In addition Roy the owner is great and takes pride in his shop. They diagnosed my issue right away and replaced and fixed at a reasonable cost. I usually do my own work but my axle and transfer case was more than I wanted to handle with time as a factor. I needed my car towed and I towed to the Dodge dealer. In the morning I went to the dealer and they told me ( on October 5th) they would NOT be able to even get the car in the shop, diagnose until first week of November. In addition they did not have a loaner car until the end of the month of October. I said its ridiculous, that I cannot be without a car that long. I called and spoke with Mike based on recommendation. Mike said have the car towed in and I will get on lift today and confirm my diagnosis. Not only was he honest, very personable as well, and took pride in his work. Needeless to say I am driving my own car in 2 days vs waiting ALMOST a month for the dealer to even LOOK at the car before getting parts etc!! Do not hesitate to go see Mike and bring your car for service here!!Services: Transmission, Steering & suspension repair
