Not even going to violate the review rating but I reached out to George solely to figure about why my Jeep would not move in either drive or reverse. I made it completely clear that the truck was a bit of a project and everything else would be taken care of. I just needed a diagnostic on why it wouldn't move. I pay for a tow from my home to AGM on a weekend when they were closed. On a Monday they reached out to me stating the battery was dead. I assured them with a Jump pack, it would start up after a few seconds. Cool. Gets that out of the way. Later on calls me and tells me that I have to stop by to take a look at something with him. I get there and he has the truck on the lift and is telling me that the Torque Converter is completely missing, which sounds completely crazy to me, but I figured you know what, whatever it is just fix it. Turns out George is not the boss and was told by his boss to get my vehicle out of there. Nice. Wasted $280 on a tow. I tow it to another shop for an additional $330 and they take my Jeep in with no issue. They find that the Torque Converter is not missing ! It's in the bellhousing where it should be. The issue is the Flywheel bolts were not connected to the Torque Converter. Spent $26 on OEM bolts. Torqued them down and now my Jeep is able to move in drive and reverse. I'm not sure George's intentions but he was about to have me spend $800 for a Torque Converter and pocket the $400 core charge for my "missing" torque converter. Then on top of that, he mentioned the pump for the trans was shot which was another $1400 without labor. What a wild ride. Especially with him saying he has worked on tons of Wranglers. How do you expect me to perceive you my brother ?

I know there's a couple of mechanics around the area, but I absolutely recommend you take your car here. Very honest, hardworking, intelligent, and understanding mechanics. You feel like they really care about you and your car, and take the time to explain anything you might have questions about. I've gotten my oil changed and my heat + coolant fixed very quickly for a very very reasonable price.

I wish I met George years ago. Check engine light came on, he looked and looked and looked and found nothing == no charge, and I got my inspection sticker. And then last week I was stranded, transmission problem, AAA towed me to his shop. Anyone else would want to rebuild my transmission but he told me it was just a rusty cable and he had to order a small part. And he does welding. Excellent mechanic, absolutely honest, very fair pricing. They don't make them like this anymore.

I had been looking and looking for a shop in jersey City.. my Ford expedition wrench icon came on .. so I went to work .. googled .. YouTube issues.. ..like any not so rich guy.. I went to a few shops and just didn't get that okay. I can trust these guys.. but I had met George before for a price quote on my nissan transmission..by far, he gave the best reasonable price.. so I went to him again, but he was sorta busy and brushed me off.. then I tried once more and he listened gave best offer again.. look...honestly speaking I rather do things on my own..but there comes a time for professional.. and George is that one shop guy I would highly recommend going to.. by the way, if he's busy try again!!.THANK YOU GEORGE AND AGM

Hands down best mechanic in jersey city! Not only did he fix my car, he was very honest, his prices are very reasonable, and was able to take my car right away after other mechanics told me to "come by next week." So glad to have finally found a place I can take my car and know the job will be done correctly at an unbeatable price!!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND AGM!If you are looking for a mechanic come here! It's hard finding trustworthy mechanics who is attentive to your car affordable and who works fast and efficiently. But luckily AGM is that place!! It exists!!. I've been going to AGM for a months now and I WISH I found them sooner!! this has been my go to shop for everything! Oil change! Car making random noise! Not being familiar with jersey I went to so many mechanics that I saw were not reliable and prices did not make sense. I decided to spot by here for issues I have had before. Not only is this now my go to place, they take their time to check every possible problem until a solution is found. They will even explain everything to you. They have saved me even in last minute emergency issues. This is the only place I trust to take my car. If I could give them 10 stars I would. I brought my Wrangler to this shop two years ago and I THOUGHT this mechanic shop was trustworthy. Little did I know this was not the case. Three months ago my car started stalling out on me. I brought it to several mechanics to try to find out what the issue was. I changed the catalytic converter, oxygen sensors, map sensor, fuel cap, you name it. My 2000 wrangler is literally filled with new parts. The only thing that I didn t want to change that is related to the stalling issue was the fuel pump, because when I brought my car to this mechanic shop, George replaced the entire fuel pump assembly, along with many other things.I kept changing parts until my pockets couldn t handle it so a mechanic, three months ago, recommended that I bring it to the dealership because this stalling issue is very odd and no one can figure out what s wrong, and the dealer is my only last choice. I brought it to the dealer in February and just last week they finally found out what was causing the stalling. Guess what the issue was, one of George s mechanics decided to leave a cover in the fuel pump when he changed it two years ago. Like are you serious George. If your mechanic decided to actually work with honesty and triple check the work they were doing, this would have never happened. This cover that your mechanic left in the fuel pump by mistake caused my car to basically suffocate little by little and stall on me anytime I drove. Thousands of dollars wasted because of negligence.Here s a part 2 of my review to let your customers know.In regards to you stating that my father is cheap . First of all, that s not the way speak to your customers. Second of all, we paid in cash, $1700 in total, we didn t just take the car and leave, we gave you what you asked for.You should be very lucky and appreciative that I m not taking any legal action. This should have never happened. NEGLIGENCE.I attached a description from the invoice from the dealership to let your future customers at least avoid getting there fuel pump installation done here. I came to this place two years ago and I have suddenly forgotten that there are others in Jersey too who work on cars. This is my one stop shop for anything on cars and George has become a family. When it comes to my car, I'm very skeptical and particular with auto shops in general but AGM had proved my skepticism wrong. Great service, reasonable price and trustworthy. first time i went to AGM i had an issue with overheat in my truck which couldn't be solved in 2 other mechanic shops in the middle of the summer they were able to identify the problem and fix it in less than2 hours by replacing my radiator ,they very professional,honest ,they treat every customer like family with respect and most important thing they know what they doing. it is been almost 5 month since the first time i went there i returned several times for all my truck needs and every time i feel so lucky to have them. i recommended them to all of my friends and family,thank you so much to every single person in the shop special the owners Mr Zarief and his son Gorge.

AGM is one of the most reliable, knowledgeable and reasonable shops I have ever gone to. They take their time to diagnose, explain and fix problems. The owners and mechanics are very pleasant and respectful people.I own 4 vehicles and use ONLY AGM to fix my cars. I will never go anywhere else. They are the best. You can t go wrong. They are honest people and won t over charge you.

GREAT SERVICE....Help is there soon as you pull in. I had my transmission rebuilt no complaints with it. I had the air compressor done also they fixed the axle and minor repairs. The mechanics there are very honest about what I needed. Not over-selling repairs or maintenance which was a plus. I wanted my car to run smoothly and that's what they helped do.What I like most there's a warranty included!!!

Trust this family owned establishment with your car, they treat you with honesty and respect and they are experienced and trained. My 2013 Ford Explorer transmission was banging when it shifted so I took it here and I left the car for the transmission to be rebuilt. I also let them fix my front and back brakes, my belt and tensioner, and both ball joints. No exaggeration, I paid $1200 less than what Aamco in Jersey City was going to charge me to fix my transmission alone. Most importantly, I am extremely satisfied with the quality of repair in my transmission and really the customer service here is over the top.

Had a serious issue with the transmission in my FJ Cruiser. They took care of it, it wasn t even the transmission. It was the sensor. They were super honest, quick turnaround time. Thorough, and did I mention super honest?
