I am a loyal customer for over 30 years. We have our cars serviced and repaired at Lou's. He runs an honest and reputable business and treats everyone like family. His service is second to none and his staff perform excellent work. I don't bring my cars anywhere else besides Lou's. Just to further add, in all our years of coming to Lou's for help, we have never felt pressured or ripped off by Lou's service. He is a stand up man. If you need help with your car, he's the guy you need.

To say Lou (the owner) is knowledgeable about cars is an understatement. Fantastic services, fantastic staff, & no nonsense. They just want to get you back on the road safe. From the simple, to the complicated - they fix it all. FYI: The work rate is $96/hr & they don't install parts you supply. They get deliveries of car parts fairly quickly if you find yourself having to wait for service.

The wife had a litany of issues with her 2012 Ford Edge. They were able to diagnose and fix every one with options for some as well. Not only that but I was back on the road within 5 days. Would have been sooner but there was about a day and a half of delays due to me deciding on things.It s tough to find a trustworthy mechanic shop and near impossible to find one that is efficient, reasonably priced and pleasant but I feel as if I got all of them in Lou.Customer for life.

An hour from home and with a flat, I went into Lou s at 445 on a Friday to see if I could borrow a lug wrench and jack to swap out my spare after I plugged the tire myself. Big name shop across the street offered to sell me tire(what?). Lou had one of his guys help me out and I was off in less than 10 mins. Wouldn t accept any money I offered. A stand up shop

Been going to Lou's Auto for nearly 10 years. Great staff, 100% honesty , fair pricing on work. They show and explain everything to you to give you a little more awareness of your vehicle. These guys do things right and carefully. Lou himself, is a saint, will never beat around the bush. He is honest and very easy to talk to. I recommend his shop to anyone that needs an honest brick and mortar mechanic.

I'm not one to write reviews but after the experience I just had I feel it to be necessary. The staff at this shop is professional, friendly, honest, and fair. The work I got done was being quoted for about 3 times more than what I was charged. I'm in the automotive industry and am fully aware of what needed to be done. No gimmicks, no hassle, just straight up honest work. I will be taking my vehicle here anytime something comes up that I can't take care of myself and advise you to do the same.

Referred to Lou by a friend for a simple oil change and tire problem I was having with my Corvette. He changed my oil at a reasonable price addressed my tire balance problem was honest with me and was reliable and because of that I will be returning to him for all my future automobile needs.

We are fairly new to town and found Lou's through reviews on a local community group on Facebook. Lou's was able to take care of both of our cars quickly at a fair price. Having a mechanic you can trust is a gift. Lou is honest, fair and knows what he is doing. He will look you square in the eye and give you a fair price for a quality job. Amen. What more can you ask for? Lou has been my go to mechanic for 6 years and has never let me down.

Have been going to Lou's for over 20 years. Don't trust our cars to anyone else! Great work ethic, mechanics very knowledgeable, prices fair/reasonable. Won't try to sell you anything your car doesn't need!

It took my wife and me over twenty years to find an honest and competent auto mechanic in the Freehold area. About five years ago, we found one when Lou opened his shop on Rt. 9. Lou knows everything there is to know about cars and is a true gentleman - all of the time. My wife appreciates that he takes the time to explain everything to her and is not one of those macho men, who think women can't understand how automobiles operate. My whole family has been using Lou since I started going to him. He diagnoses problems correctly, repairs things satisfactorily and charges fairly. He also stands behind his work. What more can one ask of a auto repair service? Highly recommended!

Lou's deserves 6 out of 5 stars. Been a customer for 15 years. All the crew are straight shooters and you get only what you need, and at a competitive price. I recommend them whenever I can. You can't go wrong here.

I want to give a shout out to Lou's Auto Body corner of Schanck Rd and Rt. 9S. My grandson's 2013 Hyundai elantra was bought last year from a private seller. It had only 23000 miles. The engine service light came on earlier this year. I took it to the local Hyundai dealership and they wanted $3200 to fix but said it was ok to drive. When I took it to the NJ inspection center last week for a new sticker, it failed because of the engine service light coming on. I took the car to Lou's and he fixed the problem $1500. It was a major job. The car runs perfect and I got a new inspection sticker. Anyone that needs a simple oil change or major engine work , highly recommend Lou's.Services: Engine repair, Oil change

I am an engineer and do quite a bit of research before getting any repair done. Lous shop offers great prices and are honest about repairs. They even talk through all the options in a repair.I moved to northern NJ for a few years and after very bad experiences with local mechanics I made the 50 mile drive to go to Lous for routine maintenance.Lous shop is the real deal. I recommend to all my friends and family, and will continue to go to this shop for years to come.

I m a new client and was wary since I loved my old shop but moved away. I had questions and spoke to Lou himself. He could have told me anything but was honest. My only complaint is that whoever answered the phone did not tell me I needed an appt, just come in. That was not the case and so I had to reschedule which was a pain. Otherwise, so far so good!

I scheduled an appointment (Friday morning drop off) simple work (tune up). I also needed an estimate for a motor mount replacement. I arrive 920am Friday. The lady at the counter says "I thought you weren't coming and we won't get to you today." WHAT?!Why did I schedule an appointment and take a day off work to get work done? I left my cell phone number (she was the one I scheduled with face to face on Tuesday). She didn't bother to call... I was there 920AM after I dropped off my kids at school and I only have one car.I did find another shop farther away but, he fit me in and offered to drive me home because it was pouring rain outside. I guess I found my new mechanic.

I have been to many bad mechanics, but Lou's auto are the real deal, I really love the honesty, pricing, thoroughness of their work and the way they run their business. I always go to them for my repairs.

I own a business in freehold and have been taking my trucks to lou's for repair and maintenance for years, guys are very friendly , lou is great and they do great work at fair prices. I highly recommend lou's auto
