I'm totally disgusted!!!! At this point I do not know what to do. My Mom passed away in August 2023 and left me some money. I was actually recommended to come here by Autotrans which started out with my clutch that needed to be fixed by Autotrans. It turned into a HORROR SHOW. I was referred bc I had a hole and rust under the front end, that needed to be repaired first. Ray said that he would be able to fix that and do the the clutch completely all brand new. He had to give me an estimate, he told me it would cost $3600.00 CASH, I agreed. I knew that I had many things fixed prior to this issue, my truck in not new its 2006 Saturn Vue. I couldn't afford to buy a new car, and I didn't want to sink money into a lemon. I trusted Ray because he was highly recommended LOL boy was I wrong. He seemed like a really nice guy. Actually, I paid this guy in full before he did anything not just giving him a deposit. I went to pick up my truck, I drove it twice locally and it seemed okay until I had to use the reverse and the higher gears that wouldn't go in. I couldn't believe it. Paid all this money and my clutch was acting like this. I paid for a brand new clutch. My first gear prior to this had issues. He told me that it would still have issues with the first gear, it was probably the linkage cable that I would need. What i didnt understand, why didnt he offer this to me before i got the truck back. Its part of a clutch replacement???? Why would i want my clutch not operating properly. I brought the truck back, didnt care that i had to pay more money for the linkage cable. My assumption was that he was going to change the linkage cable. Also, had parts for my rear breaks that my father in law had, initially he was going to put it in. I asked Ray if he would do the labor, he agreed and was happy to do so while fixing the first issue with the cable. I cant believe that he charged me $300 for labor after all the money I've spent for him to weld a hole and try to fix my clutch. I go back to pick up the truck for the second time now, he tells me everything is working great except for first gear its a little tricky, but it was always like that OO CONFUSED. When i grabbed my keys I talked to Ray and said to him I do not understand I thought you were going to fix this problem and again like i said i would have paid for the cable that was the whole reason to bring the truck back. I wanted a brand new clutch so it would work properly no problems what so ever. Am I mentally ill, are there any mechanics out there that could message me and explain on how this is supoose to work. From what he said he would have had to put it up on a lift and have to do more work, which shouldnt have costed me anything, this is what i wanted from the start. He said it should work fine with what he did and it doesnt. Been driving manual for many years. I really wished that this worked out differently, I'm disabled have an 8yr old son with autism that i have to bring him to Drs visits school etc. It's totally not fair bc the money that I had was from my Mom that passed away, I really thought that it was going into good use for my family's lively hood.

After some disappointing experiences with some other local shops in getting an alignment issue fixed, I tried Ray at Beaver Lake.Not only did he fix the issue that two other shops couldn't solve, he explained in detail what was checked and what was found. The pricing was surprisingly fair for the work performed.He even showed me around the shop to give a glimpse of how clean and professional his repair shop was.He's earned my future business for sure.

Spoke with Ray, the owner , about an issue with the frame on my Fianc�s son s vehicle. He actually had me send him a video of the damage to see if repairing the massive amount of rot on the frame would be worth the expense. After viewing the video, it was decided that it was far to extensive to repair. Ray gave me some alternative solutions to our dilemma and spent a good twenty minutes on the phone with me explaining each option and how we should proceed. I couldn t be more appreciative and we will certainly be using Ray s shop in the future and recommending him to our friends and family. Thanks again Ray for being so generous with your time, much appreciated!

Brought my car in after going to Toyota for a wobble in the front end of my car that been there since I bought it from them. They couldn't find anything five times and then the last time they quoted me $3500. Turns out it was just an unbalanced tire. Ray was an honest mechanic and did the tires and a few other things quickly and for a third of the original quote. I would have ended up paying for things I didn't even need. I really appreciate the professional no bull service and I won't be using anyone else. Car runs better than when I bought it.

My son bought a used car in very good condition from Ray. He was fair, honest, real salt of the earth. I will go back to him with everything cars. I highly recommend Beaver Lae Auto.

Jim and the owner sold me a great car with a great deal. A few minor issues they quickly fixed and no arguments. Onsite repair great. I bought from Jim a few years back and exceptional service then. Get a car here, fast friendly. I'm a Mgr 30 yrs in for world and this business is one of the best out here!

bought a car here over a year ago and just took it in to another shop for maintenance. turns out it s been dangerously rusted out for over 3 years. definitely not worth the $6,000+ i paid for it as there s over $1,300 of damage. thankfully i haven t driven it much in the past 10 months due to pregnancy and having a newborn, but it s terrifying to think what could have happened.

Purchased a vehicle from them. Barbie the office manager took care of us. Wonderful lady who made the experience easy. She was very professional, competent and personable. The owner Ray is lucky to have her.

The shop was very fair and honest and doesn't up charge on any repairs. They explain work and show you what needs to be completed on your vehicle very patient.

Drove 1.5 hrs to this dealer to look at a car they had for sale a few months ago. Took it for a test drive and it felt like it was about to fall apart. Mind you, I was 7 months pregnant at the time and this car was Dangerous!!! It hardly had brakes, shook like crazy going over 55 mph, the AC didn't work, the rear quarters were starting to rot through, and most likely needed a whole new front suspension. It was shot!! And the dealer wanted top dollar for it because they rebuilt the engine. HA! It was a huge waist of my time. Ended up finding a car closer to home with less miles, 2k cheaper, and was in mint condition.

Traveled 2 hours with trailer to buy 1987 FXR, advertised as a 5,108 mileage motorcycle, they even showed picture of the speedometer showing same mileage. What a waste of time! Besides leaking oil, all the chrome was pitted and pealing, the blackwrinkle paint was completely worn off the heads, barrels and case's. A complete scam artist. Stay Away!

I just got home from having my car "CarCo" inspected by Beaver Lake Auto and I can say with some confidence that I'll be returning for all my regular service needs. The staff was extremely professional and very, very quick to get things done. Their pricing seems very reasonable and their location is much easier to get to than Google Maps (or Garmin systems) would have you believe as it is easily visible from both sides of Route 23.I'd say that if you're sick of sitting around waiting for someone to help you and you're not happy paying through the nose for general service needs, give Beaver Lake Auto a shot because they certainly impressed me in the short time I was there.

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE WITHOUT A MECHANIC! 03/15/2020 I drove 2hrs to purchase a 2002 Honda for my 17yr old son. When my family and I arrived the cars alternator was bad so we couldn't do a through test-drive without worrying about the car shutting down. I was told ALL other MAJOR issues were taken care of amounting to $1500 per Ray (Owner). I chose to purchase the car with the alternator issue. That s an easy fix. The cost was listed at $1995 I paid $1700 due to the current issue and inconvenience of NOT knowing New Jersey does NOT allow the sale of automotive on Sunday. This cancelled out the Warrantee the car could have come with. We get the car towed to PA 03/16/2020, took it to my mechanic to repair the alternator on 03/18/2020. Get the car back 03/19/2020. On 03/21/2020 my son was on his way to work & the car was making a clunking sound when he pulled out of the driveway. After ONLY 3 DAYS of actual driving. My son is 17 and a new driver. He does not drive on the highway so all his commuting was within a 20-mile radius. Tell me how the ENGINE WAS NEEDED AFTER ONLY 3 DAYS! Ray and BEAVER LAKE AUTO SOLD ME A LEMON! I informed Ray and he was baffled by my results. I had my licensed mechanic inform Ray of his findings and Ray agreed to pay $300 towards the engine replacement. While I appreciated Ray s gesture that DID NOT put a dent into such a large expense. Yesterday 04/28/2020 my son's car was returned $2252 dollars, which also included front brakes, rotors and a cracked caliber I NEEDED TO REPAIR in order for the car to pass PA inspection on top of the $1700 Ray charged me for my purchase! I WAS RIPPED OFF PEOPLE! I was taken advantage of during the start of the Covid-19 Pandemic without any remorse! I would NEVER recommend someone spend his or her hard earned money at this place of business. DONT BE BAMBOOZLED BY RAY and his pleasantries you'll get taken for a ride that doesn t go far.....

Best place in Sussex County if you need any kind of mechanical or auto body work done. Honest and fair prices !

When a customer pays for a tow, you probably shouldn't leave him stranded there for over a week. You didn't bother to call. You didn't even check up. So if you need a tow and want to get stranded, this is the place to call. And to top it off, when you want a refund. , you actually have to go there to present your physical card. Because they haven't entered the 21st century apparently. STAY AWAY.

My daughters boyfriend and stop to take a look at a car and I have to say the owner, assistants and the mechanic are amazing people they were so patient and the car was awesome will definitely buy or bring my car to them for repairs.

Reasonable owners i bought a 2000 mitsubishi eclipse GT from them 2 weeks ago and they were very helpful when something goes wrong with the car they give money back if neccasary.
