I called 4 days prior to bringing my car to confirm availability. Anthony told me he was available Tuesday. Vehicle brought Tuesday 10am. 1 week later (Tuesday 5pm) the vehicle has not moved nor any work been done. I have not received a call from Anthony or the shop or had any communication from them. Communication with customers is key, this is how you lose customers.

I have been going to A&R for 5 years. After realizing I ve been getting raked over the coals by the dealer, I went to Anthony. I won t let anyone else touch my car. He is a skilled mechanic and honest to a fault. I cannot recommend him highly enough. He is a local business owner who goes out of his way to make a situation right and as cost effective to the customer as possible. If you need a mechanic, go to A&R and don t look back!Service: Oil change

WASTE OF TIME.....Called in advance to see if I could drop off 2 tires to have mounted and balanced. Spoke to Anthony and his response was 'of course'. Dropped them off at 9am and was told they would be completed by Noon. Returned at Noon and they were not moved from where I had set them outside the bay door. Spoke to Anthony's assistant who informed me that he went to the diner to eat and to come back at 2pm. Arrived back at 2:15pm and they still were not completed. Anthony said to give him 1/2 hour....My response was NO. Took the tires and went to Mavis on Route 10 in East Hanover.Don't promise something you cannot complete and waste someone's time. Also, maybe put off that diner until you have completed your work....Your customers are more important and your stomach can wait!!!In reading prior reviews, this is very common on how Anthony runs his business. DON'T TAKE ON MORE WORK THAN YOU CAN HANDLE!!! EVERYONE'S TIME IS VALUABLE, NOT JUST YOURS!!!Service: Tires

I got a flat tire. I pulled up to get air but it would not fill. My spare tire is in my storage unit less than a mile away. They refused to help. Told me to call an Uber and a tow truck. Literally at their shop... Not cool. 2 techs did try to help me but the owner wouldn't let them. For the complete disrespect of the owner they deserve no business. I would have been more than happy to pay for their time. NOPE. Mean owner instead.Service: Auto tire replacement

These guys are amazing. Anthony is a great guy and straight to the point. I was referred to him by two other guys that work in my office and have started to refer everyone I know in the area. These guys are completely flexible and will work out any problem. Just today my "Check Charging System" light came on, I dropped it off in the morning, they gave me the diagnostic that I needed a new alternator, purchased the product, got shipped in two hours, replaced it and my cars is running great!Prior to this, I had them do my breaks and they did an amazing job.Highly recommend.Greg

I have had the absolute worst experience with A & R and especially Anthony. I used them for years and gave him the highest praises. A little over a year ago, I called Anthony and asked him if he could come and look at my fathers 1968 Mustang, the car is his pride and joy, it was pristine, took him about 10 years to rebuild it. The car needed a wire harness, one of my friends who said he could do it, was no where near qualified enough, that was poor judgement on my part, during this time, my Dad was diagnosed with bladder cancer as well as kidney cancer. He was going into the hospital to have his kidney removed, he is 78 and all he spoke about was how he just wanted to drive his car one last time. With the dash out and wires everywhere, I called Anthony and explained the issue. He took a ride to the house to take a look, I was very honest about the condition of the dash, he did not seem concerned at all, it was LAST SEPT! The game plan was for us to get the car towed to his yard, since the car does not get driven in the winter, he was given ample amount of time to finish the car, he said it would be done early March and swore the car would NOT be outside. So he had it for Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb I took a ride the his business to take a look at the progress..... by this point my Dad is working on One Kidney and his bladder cancer was coming back every 2 months, at that time he was going in for surgery every two months and all he spoke about was how he couldn't wait to drive his car one last time. I get to the yard and my Dad's mustang, which is beautiful, never been in the rain, snow, or kept outside, was in the back of his lot covered in snow. I asked Anthony what was going on and kept my cool, I even said, listen if this is to much for you, I get it, I can find someone else to do it. He apologized about it being outside and said they got busy putting chains and plows on the the Florham Park Township vehicles and said it would be inside shortly and progress would resume. I didn't tell my Dad it was outside, lied to him and said, they are making great progress. Called him in March, asked how it was coming along, he said they were almost done, just a few minor issues to tighten up. My dad would ask me every single day, "is it almost done can I go see it, I can't wait to drive it" I would call Anthony once ever two weeks, he would tell me, almost done, just working on a small minor issue. This brings me into May, I drove there, the car is not on the lot, he tells me, he got busy and couldn't figure out one issue regarding some wire, but his friend is Morris Plains is quite handy on working with Mustangs now has my dad's mustang and is completing the harness. I was a bit skeptical and tried my hardest not to be confrontational, I said Anthony I know this was a big task, if you do not want to finish it, or can't, I'll understand but I don't know how much more time my Dad has, please just be honest with me. His response was, it's almost done give me two weeks. I called in two weeks, gave me the runaround, small issue, they took it for a test drive. Called two weeks later, he tells me it's just about done and now they are going to detail it. Told my Dad, he was very happy to hear the good news, as was I bc I felt responsible. Last week of June, we got some very bad news, my Dad was in the hospital to have the tumor removed from his bladder, problem was, tumor wasn't in the bladder, it traveled up his ureter into his remaining kidney, they tried to removed it but couldn't, the doctor came out and told me that they would indeed have to remove his remaining kidney, 10 mins later he goes into septic shock, temp dropped to 97.6 than up to 104.00, never seen anything like it....While this is going on, I walked into hallway, called Anthony and begged him to finish the mustang, I told him what was going on and said this is a race against time, please, I don't know how much more time my Dad will be alive and all he wants to drive his mustang again. Was snippy with me and said, two weeks and rushed me off the phone.

Great service. Use them for many many years. Can fix anything and will never overcharge, which is very important. Anthony will do exactly what has to be done, not more and not less. He s very experienced in all car systems. Highly recommend his shop.

First let me start off by saying I really hate giving bad reviews on the internet because I feel like more people complain about things then they give credit for. However, I gave this garage a second chance only to be disappointed again.I work down the street from this garage so I dropped it off early one day before they opened. I was assured that they would be able to look at my car and fix it within the 8 hours provided. The shift was 7 to 3. Not only did I not receive a call throughout the day to give me the status of my diagnostic but when I called an hour before my shift ended they told me on the phone that they didn't have a chance to look at it yet. They also couldnt remember what it was there for. When I arrived an hour later the mechanic said that it was my muffler that was going to need repair and how much it was going to be. Since I didn't have any more time to spare I couldn't do anything that day and the garage did not charge me for the diagnostic. So I thought cool.A couple of weeks passed and I brought my car back to the garage in pretty much the exact same situation. I called the day before and asked multiple times if the muffler repair would be able to be fixed within the 7-3 schedule and I was assured multiple times that it would. So once again I dropped my car off in the morning before the garage opened and didn't receive a call the entire day. When I got out of work at 3 and head over to the garage I noticed that my car was parked in the exact same spot. When I asked the mechanic how everything went he informed me that he ordered the wrong part and I would have to come back on a different day. Obviously, I understand things happen, however, when he handed me back my key it was in the same sealed envelope I left it in from that morning. Which leads me to believe he didn't even look at my car that day. Which also leads me to believe he may have not even looked at it the first time.To me this garage seems very untrustworthy. The communication was very poor and the service was non-existent. Literally. Not only did I have to drop my car off in the morning and walk up the no sidewalked highway in morning traffic twice but to ask me to come back a third time after not being able to fix the problem the first 16 hours almost seemed like a joke. The shop itself didn't seem to care much and I wasn't given much of an apology the first or the second time. Seems to me that my business really didn't matter. So if you're looking for a garage in the Florham Park area I would look elsewhere.

Very reliable work. Always do a good job. Been going to this place for a while now. Nice to have a garage close by that gets to the point and does honest work. Glad to support a business such as this one over a Nissan garage or something that s more expensive, and wastes time trying to upsell. I d say the only issue would be communication, giving updates on your car s progress.

After he rushes me off the phone and seeing the condition of my father, I decided enough was enough. I go the next week, Anthony isn't there, I see one of his employees, tried my best to keep my cool and said where is Anthony, he told me, he was away for the week in LBI, I said, this is getting ridiculous, where is my Dad's car, the mustang, his employee told me, it was in a parking lot down the street behind an office building, I said "WHAT"??????? and I said did you guys even work on it, he said, no Anthony hasn't touched it in quite sometime, i took the keys off of the wall and left. So I drive to this office building on Columbia Turnpike, I drive around back and sure enough, there was my Dad's mustang, I didn't take any pictures, I was so taken back by what I saw, this once beautiful cherry red mustang, that has won best paint job in numerous car shows was in ruins, there were chips everywhere, rust on the chrome, water spots all over the car, stains from i'm assuming whatever fell from the trees, the inside of the car looked like it was hit by a tornado, thousands of wires and cut wires, place pieces everywhere, damage to the center console, no dash in, it was horrible. I called a tow truck, they towed it to my folks, the car is a distaster, it's not in my parents garage, my Dad has his second kidney removed, goes to dialysis every other day, stopped by the other day he was sitting in the garage, staring at his once beautiful car. I get it's a car and for whatever reason my Dad loves it and Anthony destroyed it, I couldn't have been more polite and empathetic to the task at hand, said multiple times, if it's to much i'll find someone else...He is a liar, a fraud, a con man, DO NOT TRUST HIM WITH YOU VEHICLE.

This might not seem the most equipped place, say like for a electornic issue. For most other things they are the most helpful and economical folks I have seen in this entire surroundings. I hat might cost a 100 dollar in the typical quote and work style repair shops. You might get the same done in 50 dollar. Sure should consider if your work is not electronic but more to do with mechanics of the car.
