I do work on my own cars but have used Scotch Plains Auto for over 8 years beginning at their prior location for jobs that are over the top in labor or over my head in complexity. Every time, they have been smooth, clean, and efficient. As a customer I'm also reasonable and understanding. I enjoy the personality of the owner and his team, and really appreciate their expertise, solving issues on my vehicles that I couldn't figure out. I've had a timing belt replaced, coolant hoses replaced, and a very annoying valve located at the top of a gas tank replaced in another vehicle. Excellent work!Services: General repairs & maintenance, A/C installation & repair, Air conditioning

What an awful experience this was. I don't understand how this place can have such ratings. If I could give it zero stars I would. To start I left my car on Wednesday morning and the guy assured me it would be done no later than Thursday. No phone call nothing until Friday morning when I called this place. It seems that he had totally forgotten what needed to be done. Then he started playing phone tag. If he didn't have the time he should've told me from the beginning. He never called back so I went to pick up my car before they close. To my surprise he hasn't done anything.. 3 days later and he kept saying he would call me back??? What type of game is that??!!! DO NOT go to this place!

I have been going to Scotch Plains Auto Care, LLC for about 7, maybe 8 years now and the service that is always provided is exceptional! Todd is such a warm and friendly individual along with the rest of his staff! Gets the job 110% each time and always gets me back on the road ASAP! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to get your cars checked out there whether its a standard oil change, or your car is not running at all. They are the ones who will get the job done right each time!

I have been using these guys for years and they go above and beyond to make sure the work is done right.I recently bought a used pick up truck and the headlights did not seem bright enough to see well at night. Todd installed the brightest lights he could find and he determined they still didn t seem to be bright enough. (Poorly designed in the first place.) Headlight lenses were fine.He searched and found an LED upgrade replacement kit. Installed them for a reasonable price and I can see at night again.But what I appreciated was the fact that he didn t just install the Brightest bulbs and then I end up in the same boat. Money spent and no big improvement. He discussed his plan with me while the car was in his shop so the communication was there too. Todd made sure the job was done right and I was happy.Thanks Todd, greatly appreciated.

Great repair shop. Todd is reliable and very friendly. He always does his best to accommodate you and if there is something he can't help with he will always lead you in the right direction or find out what he can for you. Troy also is a great mechanic and the whole team has impeccable customer service. A great choice when looking for automotive care!

We've been going to Todd's for years now and wouldn't go anywhere else. Consistently good service at a fair price and we never have to worry that they are doing unnecessary work to jack up the bill. Todd even spent hours on the phone on a Sunday when we had car issues while out of town. This is definitely a shop you can trust.

Scotch Plains auto is the best garage in this part of Jersey. The owner will only perform necessary repairs to get the car in operable working condition. This means you won't spend money on a repair from a mistaken diagnosis or an "upsell" repair which is common at a chain auto garage or even a dealership. Recently, this garage saved me a some cash when compared to the same repair from the dealership. My car is solid and ready thanks to Todd/Scotch Plains Auto!

Todd is the best! Friendly, professional service! Will always do the right thing, he's fair, honest and trustworthy! That's not always something you see in business. I and my family have been going to him for years.

Scotch plains auto has been my go to place for my families vehicles for the last 5 years. Todd and his team are very honest and knowledgeable.The prices are resonable and always within my budget.I can say that my family trust scotch plains auto.

Professional, courteous, trustworthy, clear and concise explanations on all the repairs that you will need on your vehicle. Labor rate and prices for parts are justified. Great shop I bring all my vehicles there. The mechanics are exemplary.

This is a great and affordable auto shop. Todd and his co workers are very helpful and caring towards the customers and their cars. They will give great and quick responses and help with any problem on a car. Overall this is a great auto shop and a great staff .

Been going to Todd for years and won t look else where. I recently stopped in for a complete brake rotor and pad job and was completed just over an hour later! It s a family run business and the service has always reflected that.

This shop is great. Always on time and really care about the client. Most shops will try to oversell you. But not here at all. Great customer service.
