Excellent customer service!My tires were reaching the end of their life (one was permanently leaking air, and all 4 had a little over 60k miles on them, and had driven across the country twice), and I had a bad experience with a technician at a Mavis recently when I tried to have all 4 replaced. So, safe to say, I was nervous bringing in my vehicle for any kind of service.However, Jim really took care of my needs as a customer! I told him what I was looking for, and he got me all squared away within minutes. Tires were ordered AND installed same day. He used clear & digestible language to explain the alignment process to me, and it never felt as though he was speaking down to me. I will absolutely be bringing my vehicle back for other maintenance.

Was hoping for better service. Dropped truck off the night before and called ahead of time to ask if a simple oil change and tire rotation could be done the next day. Was told yes by Jim and dropped it off. Said they were gonna try to get it done in the morning. Called at noon not done yet. Went there at 3:30 truck hadn't moved so I took my keys back. They had it forn8 1/2 hours for a simple 20 min oil change and tire rotation. I haye being lied to. Then Jim says I'll get it done before the end of the day 2 1/2 hours left in the day. No faith I'm being told the truth. I took truck back and will NEVER go back to this place. They obviously can't schedule jobs well and just tell people they can do it. Awful experience

I called on a Friday afternoon. My tire had gone flat and it had a cut on the sidewall. I know my spare was stuck and I wouldn t be able to use it ( pickup truck, underneath the bed, now rusted in place) I was planning to get new tires at my regular mechanic but I figured I really didn t have a choice but try to get the tires. I checked online and website said two tires were in stock. I needed my truck to be able to bring the snowplow to my parents house since the snowstorm was arriving the next day. I called and spoke to Jim. He said he could get the tires on-site the next morning and I brought my truck down that afternoon. I was a few minutes late picking it up because of the snow and he said no problem when I called. Jim showed me the tire before I bought them and explained their features. Gave me good advice about my current spare tire situation. He was so pleasant and helpful, he made a stressful situation into a nice one. I ve only driven in the snow on my way home but I was happy with how they handled the snow. My experience was great and I will definitely use them again.

Great location, Marc the manager and Jim the supervisor are awesome. They took care of my issues Immediately.Jay the lead tech solved a ground wire problem on my van and saved me a ton of money.Thank you Firestone team of West Caldwell, for treating my vehicle as if it where one of your own.

I got a new tire for $160 from them and after just a month tire pressure light comes on though I checked there's nothing wrong with any of them. When I bring it back to them, I'm told the tire is "damaged" and need to pay another $40 for swapping it out even with warranty... Not an honest business, I won't be going back.

Mechanic Jay is probably one of the best mechanics I ve ever come across in my 50 years of driving and Jim and De Shon are just great in the office when taking appointments always professional and friendly they just seem to go the extra mile all the time and being in the service industry for 50 years I really appreciate good service

My car had to be jumpstarted so I went to firestone for checkup .I reached there at 8 Am I was told that it will take 2 hrs to diagnose the issue and that would cost me 30$After 3 hrs I got a call from the store manager Marc with an estimate of approx. 1800$, none of them was needed except for that car battery cable that had corrosion andhad to be replaced . I went to the store to see the car around 12.00 pm and the manager of the store showed me the car and the new battery cable which needs to be replaced.This would not cost more than 5$ of parts and not more than 5 min to fix that.He told me that would cost 129$ to fix it as it was a tedious job, after requesting he waived off the inspection fee of 30$Marc told me that this is a tedious job and the car would be fixed after couple of hrs. I went out of the store and went to Panera to grab a cup of coffee and returned the same way andcould see that the car is ready and parked outside the store , I just returned home.Marc called me after couple of hrs to show that it took couple of hrs to fix my car even though it was fixed in less than 10 min as I had already seen it while returning from Panera.I had a firestone credit card which had a coupon of 20$ but he did not even honor that and charged me 130$ for a 5 min jobI was cheated by firestone and would never go to firestone of west Caldwell again and would never recommened it to my friends or familyI have also attached the photo of the part that had to be replaced to show it can be fixed in less than 5 minService: Battery

I have been going to this Firestone location for the last 3 years for various reasons. Never had any majore issues until recently. There is a new shop manager name DeShawn that was transferred from Wayne's Firestone. HE IS EXTREMELY RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL TO THE CUSTOMERS. I seriously don't understand how he slipped through the cracks and is even a shop manager with them. I had a repair with my car that I had auto repair insurance from. American Auto Shield. I was giving the information to call and set up a claim and explaining for tjis insurance works. He was not interested and abruptly stopped me and told me " DON'T TELL HE HOW TO DO MY JOB" . I was taken back by that remark. This is an insurance plan NOT how repairi g my car so how would you know how it's works since it's not in your scope of experience. I called AAS the next day to follow up with them. He did not send them.any estimate. I called him back back to follow up and he streamed st on thr phone " I TOLD YOU STOP TELLING ME HOW TO DO MY JOB". I took my car out of there that day and brought to another repair facility that did it correctly and foot my car fixed.After that experience I called Firestone customer support and let them know whst happened. They told me that they take complaints like this seriously and this would be forwarded to Desjaun's boss the area msnager of the Caldwell Firestone. They took both my phone number and email and told me he would contact me in 2 days. Those 2 days passed then and 3 and 4 and I never heard back from him or Firestone.I am very disappointed with Firestone fir not caring about the customer experience and the let its staff included management to treat customers in such a disrespectful way. Very surprising and disturbing.

Appointment only and then you'll need to leave your vehicle - very disappointed as I wanted an oil change and tire rotation as this was turning into a good day for me to have them done. But since time was only around 9:00 I left this nonsense and drove to Jiffy Lube in Rockaway and had a terrific experience! Really, as a staff person actually volunteered and showed me the 'correct' way when installing my cabin filters as my car uses two and the product Instructs omitted something crucial! Wow Big difference between the two businesses!

I've used this shop for a few different cars over the years. The guys here are great. Jim in particular has always been a real pro. Friendly and quick service at a good price. Bad customer service. Person managing bad for business. While a waited 1 hr 45 min for oil change service, I told I need tires quote. He said he will b right back with me but never did. O took a quite somewhere else while waiting and went right after. Lost 1000$ business. But may b they don't need it.

The people who work there, Jim and Rick, were very professional and friendly. They are open on Sundays which makes them very convenient. Also the prices are better than local mechanics and that was a really great surprise. All this together makes me very satisfied customer, who will be always come back for service and recommended to all my friends.

They do not deserve one star. I got my oil change in my car friday before going out of town by sunday the oil is leaking cause they did not tighten the oil plug and did not tighten the filter too. I lost a lot of oil and could have blown my engine!!!! Oil all over my cover and under my car!!!!! I had to get it tighten and under my car cleaned!!!! I will never take my car there again!!!!Service: Oil change

Had a flat tire and went in. Steve was very courteous over the phone when I called and also when I was there. They did tell me that my tires would need to be replaced by summer, but didn't pressure me at all into doing it today (I'm leasing and returning before then, so no need). They were quick and professional in patching my tire and I would recommend them!

3 Stars is generous.It's not the actual service I have a problem with , it's the people at the desk.I went in at 1pm. i have a tire warranty and I had a tire that kept losing air. They said to leave it and they'd check. No, i said I'll wait. It will be hours they said. I left and called 2 hours later. I asked if it was good to come now. Probably not good until 430. Ok I'll come then. I can come back when you tell me .We'll call you. They called and said 5 . I got there at 450. Waited until 525 for the car to go in. I heard them tell someone they only had 1 tech. There were 3 people working the counter and only 1 guy doing anything.

BEWARE. Their motivation is to sell you tires. I went to check my wheel alignment and they told me my tires are worn out but they weren't (Just a year old). I know a bit about cars too.This week I hit a pot hole and my rim was bent and the tire balancing weight was knocked off. They told me in a rudely abrupt manner the cause of the vibration were broken belts within the tire without them even examining the tire and that I needed to replace the tire. I left the location because I was skeptical about the instant diagnosis. I found out the vibration was from a bent rim and a tire out of balance from a more trustworthy Firestone in Montclair, NJ. The rim was fixed and balanced this week and I didn't need to replace the tire. Shame on you Firestone in West Caldwell, NJ. Will never go there again.

Saved a lot of money getting an oil change here instead of the Mercedes dealership down the road. The mechanics seemed to do a good job. They had a problem re-setting the maintenance light after the oil change. I helped them by finding a good video on You Tube but that wasn't a big deal to me. I did wait about an hour or so since I didn't have an appointment so I definitely recommend booking one in advance.

Dropped off my tire with a broken valve stem this morning. They gave me a call at 9:20 saying it was done already! Joaquim rang me up this evening (since they are OH SO CONVENIENTLY open till 7!) and was helping by being patient with me and answering my questions. Highly recommended and I will return when I need tires. Thanks Guys!

I don't think I would be inaccurate to say that most mechanics are not trustworthy. Dealers are perhaps one of the worst since they can hide behind their brand. With dealers, I've caught them for example, telling me they've changed the oil when they in fact did not.But, this business seems fair and honest. We've brought our car in a few times. We found them through Tire rack in order to install new tires. And, they did a few other maintenance items as well. Everything was done perfectly and at a very fair price.

I had a bad experience here after a good one for some time. A person told me that I needed new tires only 6 months after buying them there. He said that my alignment was off 5 degrees, which means that my frame was bent. I drove down the street to Sears and they said there was nothing wrong.My guess is that these guys run schemes to make extra cash by giving people bogus tires. Later they have to tell them crazy stories as to why their car is broken. Get a second opinion and be told that there is nothing wrong!

They could take me immediately and there was a great coupon deal on the Firestone site for $28.98 for a synthetic blend oil change (up to 5 quarts). Great deal and fast service plus professional and courteous customer service made for a happy, quick visit.

firestone west caldwell is a nice place and good price for customers. Also, Manager, Marty and associates are friendly, welcoming and helping to customers what they need. So, if I need help for my car, just contact and set it up with them. Thank u so much for your guys help.

Horrible location. They are very pushy and they try to sell everyone overpriced air filters. The managers definitely work on commission. The heavy set manager/assistant manager Martin is the worse. He tries to up sell everyone and he seems to enjoy it. It's so disgraceful.
