My A/C went out just as the weather started warming up. I spoke to Mary in the office and she got me scheduled. She even put me in for a quick pre-check so that they could make sure they had the parts needed (compressor) ahead of time.The owner did an estimate and walked me through the options.When I took the car in for the appointment, the check-in was quick. They called a couple of hours later (earlier than expected)) to tell me it was ready. The bill was LESS THAN the estimate! I almost fainted.Not a fancy looking place but honest folks who do great work.Service: Auto A/C replacement

This place here is the place to take your vehicle. Honest hard working family that won't kill your bank account and they will tell you what is really going on and they won't try and add things that are not needed. It's hard to find a mechanic shop like this these days so it was really refreshing to actually come across this shop and I'll always go here for any of my mechanic needs hands down. I'm telling you, if you go here you won't be disappointed.

Welge Automotive is the best auto repair shop in town. They have highly competent mechanics and reasonable prices. They are that proverbial "honest mechanic" that everyone tries to find and hold on to for the rest of their life. It's been a great experience to go in there to get service. Everybody is friendly, Robert knows exactly what to do in all situations so do the other seem to be as knowledgeable, friendly, And able to explain any problems it was in a very good way that I think anybody can understand.It makes my car problems less dreadful!!

Do not take your vehicle here. From the front desk to the mechanics to the owner, it is terrible ran and managed. There are so many broken down vehicles in the front that there is no parking. My vehicle was in there possession when it was broken into. They took no responsibly and I m out the damages. Do not recommend Welge.

I have been using Welge Automotive for a couple years now.For me, the most important thing about Welge is that they can be trusted, unquestionably. Frequently I dont ask for a quote for the work and trust them to price it fairly, which they do and if something goes wrong, they understand the need to fix it without additional charge where something didnt work as they expected.Great local family owned business.

I had a battery issue with my 2011 Ram. Didn't have an appointment so I dropped off my vehicle early morning. Welge was able to get my vehicle in that day, diagnosed the issue, and got my repairs done the sameday. Amazing customer service and very reasonable pricing. My only regret is not knowing about this shop sooner. I will be using them as my go to moving forward. Truly a cut above facility with quality knowledgeable mechanics and honest work, thanks Robert and Diana for all your help!

The staff here is amazing. Diana is a wonderful receptionist who is willing to help you out however she can. Robert and the rest if the mechanics will send over backwards for you. They will talk to you like a knowledgeable person regardless if gender. I really appreciate that. I usually have an idea of what is wrong with my car when I take it in. Other repair shops have been completely dismissive if me because I'm a woman. Robert and his staff honestly listen when you are explaining what us wrong with your car. And they are reasonably priced. This week's car repair had me stressing over what it was going to cost. Not only did they solve the problem (as always) but it came back costing much less than I expected. I absolutely love this repair shop and recommend them to anyone who asks.

Not easy to find from the street however these people are honest and they give you excellent service. I highly recommend these people. We just moved here and we had no idea where to go. Welge automotive has 5 stars on all the reviews so far so I was excited to give them a try. Very friendly staff and you get a discount if you pay cash.

Really great business. Very honest and their rates can't be beat. The staff is knowledgeable and they are thorough! Having to repair and maintain a car really stinks but Welge Automotive takes some of the sting out the dreaded repair bill!

Welge and his team are honest, super friendly, and knowledgeable about what you need to care for your vehicles. I take all my cars here a have for years. They are great! I love going here when we have maintenance or car troubles.

Fantastic work, went above and beyond at no extda charge, affordable and contrary to a couple reviews here, yes, they absolutely do answer their phone - like by the 3rd ring. Every time. After receiving a recommendation from someone in the Sparks area to bring my vehicle to your business, I was thoroughly impressed by the service and cost. I lived more than an hour away, but I wouldn't take my vehicles anyplace else. The business is thorough with their work, honest, and customer friendly.

Great service, fair prices. We've always paid less than the initial quote, and the work is good. We had an oil leak that no one could find, and they spent a day looking, but honored the original price quote. Honest and fair.

Welge does great work, and under budget. He has fixed my cars on several occasions. The most recent fix was for under half what he quoted me. He is an honest man and will pass on the savings to his customers wherever he can!

While traveling through to California for a business trip, our car broke down in Reno in the evening after everyone was closed. Taking a chance we had our car towed to Welge automotive, rented a car, and continued on our way. We were blessed! They called us the next day for a description of exactly what the problem was, were able to correctly diagnose it, and helped us to understand what the problem was and what needed to be done. We arrived back in Reno the evening after our car had broken down to find that the part they needed had just arrived. They stayed late to get everything done so we could get back on the road and come home. They even picked us up from the car rental office as our car was being fixed! When everything was finished the price was much less than we feared. I can not speak highly enough of the experience we had. In a world where car problems will unfortunately come to all of us, if you are in the Reno area do not look anywhere else!

Welge Automotive is the most honest, knowledgeable, and professional mechanic I've found in the area. I've been getting ripped off at mchanics all over Reno and Sparks for the past 4 years. Not only that but their hourly rate is lower than any other place I've been.So far I've had shops charge me double for parts AND labor, and even charge me for parts I don't need like an oil cap (Champion Chevrolet). I've had a shop replace a serpentine belt that I just bought, then charge me an extra hour or two for labor (Arrow Automotive). Some places (Sierra Car Care) have done shady things and overcharge on labor. Recently, I brought my car into a shop (A Master Mechanic) and they told me I had a bent rod or a spun bearing, they wanted to charge me $9,900 to replace the entire engine block. I brought it in to Welge Automotive and they found it was a valve lifter, it cost me $800 to fix. I would highly recommend you give them a try.

I had a blown head gasket on my 05 4Runner and was given some prices from other shops in town that seemed ridiculous and decided to give Welge automotive a call and it was a fair price for the work . I'm very satisfied with their work and Robert and his staff are Top notch. Thank you

I really like this place! They are super affordable and very nice. I have walked in a couple of times and they would bring me inside the shop and show me what they are doing. They are fantastic!
