I cannot say enough about the exceptional service I received from the service department at this shop. My experience with them was nothing short of top-notch, and I would gladly give them a 10/10 rating. When I initially brought my unit in, I was prepared for a quick fix, but the technicians took their time to ensure they followed the proper troubleshooting procedures. They also were honest with me and you could see how many trucks they had on their property, they are busy. While this did extend the repair timeline by a few extra days, it was well worth it in the end. They were determined to identify the root cause of the issue, even if it meant digging deeper than expected. For the amount of time I have spent in shops with them only ever addressing the surface level issue, it was a refreshing experience to have a shop care to get me in proper working condition. Once the root cause was identified and repaired, the difference was like night and day, and my unit was running better than ever before.Throughout the entire process, the communication from the service department was outstanding. I received daily updates on the progress of the repair, and they took the time to explain everything to me in a way that was easy to understand. Their transparency and willingness to keep me informed every step of the way truly set them apart. It's disheartening to witness individuals who choose to be entitled and disrespectful toward the hardworking staff, including both the ladies and gentlemen, at this facility. These dedicated professionals are going above and beyond to serve even amidst the challenges of dealing with frustrating customers. It's a simple but essential reminder: treating others with the kindness and respect we ourselves desire is not just a golden rule but a fundamental principle of human interaction.I wholeheartedly recommend this shop to anyone in need of freightliner and western star services. Their commitment to excellence, dedication to finding the root cause of issues, and outstanding communication make them a standout choice for all your vehicle needs. I couldn't be more satisfied with the service I received, and I'm confident that anyone who chooses this shop will share in my enthusiasm. They have certainly earned my trust and future business.

Everything went well from setting a windshield replacement appointment to meeting the vendor to get the job done. Everyone was very friendly and helpful the whole way through. Until next time, thanks again!

The day I got there i checked in and was told i could wait in the lounge or my truck. After 4 trucks came(after mine), were looked at and sent off...3-4 hrs later had to get a new service order done bc I was skipped. A guy came out hooked up a computer and left. Came back an hr later, mumbled something walked off. An hr later they close....no one has still said anything to me about whats going on other than a tech will be out. Saturday i uber up to Velocity as they open, to be told the tech working on my won't be in until Monday. Truck sat from Friday afternoon until Monday before it was touched. After 10 days the foreman finally saw fit to see what was going on w the truck. Told I needed a sensor on backorder, 12 days and 6k into this ordeal, "the foreman worked his magic", as they said, and I was fixed. Got from Reno to Dallas and derated again.....needed the sensor. Smh. 4 1/2 years driving....Velocity is by far the worst repair shop I've ever dealt with. They drag their feet (from the moment I checked in), don't communicate and seem to not care. If u want to get rolling fast, find another spot. Just sharing MY personal experience w this shop....NO SIR!!! They'll get it done.....but at their own pace.

Tyler & Torry in the service department are awesome. They definitely make the stressful situation of your truck breaking down much more tolerable by keeping you informed & just listening to you vent. They're the perfect example of the fact that sometimes good people make all the difference in the world when dealing with a scrappy situation. Someone should give those two a raise, I say. . .

They are scam, I had my truck to look at it, because when I am starting it has click, so the technician look at it. Then he said the battery needs to clean up. Then when I try to take the key, they said you need to pay $280.00. They are scam. Then I said you need to clean it. They said it will take four days. They are suck

I took my truck to this shop to check it and they told me that the cps was broken and needed to be changed, they took 2 days to install a new cps after they installed the new cps not even driving 10 miles the same issue had occurred and cps was still not fixed. So I went back and they told me that it was something else that had broke not the cps but it was in fact the cps that was not working, then they told me that clutch was broken it took them a whole week back and forth asking them if they found the issue and after talking time and time again they told me the issue and cost to fix the clutch problem, the cost of the fix was almost as much the truck was to buy itself.these the absolute worst and I don t recommend you to come here and fix your truck all they will do is waste your time and money!!!

Took almost a month to do 3 days worth of work, they killed power to my fridge after I told them it had to work cause I had food and medication that needed to be cold. So I had fruit flies, mold and maggots in my fridge (thanks a lot guys) and then lost the button to my ELD that was plugged into the diagnostic port, then lied about it. I would give them a -5 stars if I could. Very poor service!

One of the worst companies I had to do business with. What should have been a couple of days turned out to be a week to get repairs done. I was already away from my family for over a week and I had to wait another 7 days because of how slow they were. The service was unfriendly and I felt like I was held hostage by this company. I guess that how they make their money.

it looks like this location has a lot of complaints about not actually making repairs For them to be ignoring this and allowing it to continue means there is obviously a problem within their body of mechanics. it only takes one bad apple to ruin a company. Glad I saw these reviews before taking my truck to this location. Reviews are meant to warn you Take heed.

We recently purchased a diesel pusher motor home that needed service and had a coolant leak. I called and they said to bring it in and they would check it out. I asked for a 15,000 mile service and to have them see what was leaking. They found the lower radiator hose leaking and repaired it and replaced the coolant per my request. While they were checking out the coach they also found the alternator had gone bad. I had seen a problem with it on the way over so asked to have them replace the alternator also. When I went in to pick up my coach the invoice showed very little info on what they had done. Instead of a 15,000 mile service they had just done a lube ad oil change. When I asked about what had been done the service tech was not sure and had to check. When I said I wanted the 15,000 mile service done Bill said to leave it and they would finish the work. They are pricey but do know what they are doing and everyone was friendly and courteous.Update on 08-07-23 we purchased another diesel and had to bring it in for some warranty work. They have moved to a bigger facility and it was easier to get my coach in for the work. I should say my rep Torry kept me updated almost every day by email on status of work and parts. This time the invoices were very detailed on all the work performedA minor issue but their new facility parking lot is not all paved. My coach gets pretty dusty while sitting in the parking area in the gravel area.

I had an absolutely horrendous experience with the truck repair service that I used recently, and it is crucial that I share my story to prevent others from falling victim to their deceitful and scammy practices. This establishment not only charged me an exorbitant $15,000 for a repair that was unnecessary and never even performed, but they also deliberately broke another part of my truck to extort an additional $11,000 from me. This place needs to be reported to the police and authorities for their fraudulent activities, as they continue to scam people to make money. To begin with, they shamelessly charged me a significant amount for a repair that my truck did not require and, to my shock, was never actually carried out. They took advantage of my trust and convinced me that the repair was essential, only for me to find out later that it was nothing more than a money-grabbing scheme. This repair shop has shown a complete lack of integrity and has no qualms about deceiving and swindling unsuspecting customers.Even after paying for the unnecessary repair, my truck's engine light came back on shortly afterward. It was evident that their supposed "repair" was ineffective or perhaps never even attempted. Frustrated, I returned to the service center, only to be met with another outrageous demand for $11,000 to fix a part they had deliberately broken. It became clear that this establishment has no regard for their customers' well-being and resorts to intentionally damaging vehicles to extract more money from their victims. In my quest for justice and a genuine repair, I sought a second opinion from another service center. Much to my dismay, they confirmed that the parts the previous repair service had charged me for were never replaced. This revelation was deeply unsettling, further solidifying my belief that this place is engaged in fraudulent activities at the expense of unsuspecting individuals. It is imperative that this truck repair service be reported to the police and relevant authorities. They are notorious for scamming people, employing dishonest tactics to line their own pockets. They prey on the trust of their customers, carrying out unnecessary repairs, and even intentionally causing damage for financial gain.In conclusion, I strongly advise against using this truck repair service. They will deceive you, charge exorbitant fees for nonexistent repairs, and potentially damage your vehicle intentionally. This establishment needs to face legal consequences for their fraudulent practices. Let's work together to protect others from falling victim to their scams by reporting them to the appropriate authorities.

STOP!! Stop and don't get service here! Especially warranty related. They take forever to get truck fixed. This is the picture I took, while on the phone with shop telling me the truck is being worked on. Then I tell them that I'm looking at the truck, and it's in the yard, and no one is working on it. They just tell me that it must have been done. Bottom line, I turned truck on a warranty issue. It took them 10 days to get it back running. No explanations why. Also, if they weren't able to get the part on a warranty issue, they will charge you for diagnostics. Customer service is awful, Brandon is horrible with communications. He will lie about the progress, current status and parts orders.

Thank you Velocity Truck Service for getting us repaired in 1 day with our new Thor Inception Super C that had a radiator leak. We re on the road and they got us in with Express service. Our rig has 3700 miles on it so we definitely had some frustration to deal with but luckily it was an easy fix, tested and back on the road. Thank you again, we appreciate it.

Read through reviews 18 days too late; one would think that a five year old review would not apply today but it's the same situation different day, month, year. When dealing with under warranty this is going to be at least a two week project. This is a semi truck and RV maintenance service--meaning, I've been in a hotel eating delivery for 18 days, Velocity should have expressed that this was going to be costly. The driver isn't making money, the company isn't making money, odds are when the truck came in they were delivering a load and now it's sitting too, customers waiting means consumers are waiting. So much loss. In terms of money, time, respect, and expectation.Had Velocity told me I would be in Sparks NV for almost three weeks I could have rented a car, gone on a cattle drive, hiked a mountain, went to church, and made new friends.Instead Velocity told me one of two things each morning when I called, more testing today, call us this afternoon. We are doing another diagnostics drive, call us tomorrow.

I was in and had one box removed and reinstalled when I picked up my truck the side panels were all scratched up told service mngr and was told to get estimates and they would definitely take care of it. Well 2 months later I m still waiting for a check I ve been told so many different stories and was promised last week a check was mailed well not yet and another 10 days has passed. I tell you when my truck is in one of there dealerships I have to pay before I can pickup my truck. I m pretty disappointed now. I m sure the service writer is doing her best to rectify this situation. Thank you for letting me vent my frustrations. John Kennedy

This place had mixed reviews. Some of the reviews had negative comments for petty stuff. But my experience was good for the most part. When I brought My truck in for repairs, they already was extremely busy. I figure it was since its the middle of Winter. It took them awhile to fix my truck since I had major problems. Plus the parts took 3 days to get there and my company took awhile to respond to the estimate. Plus there was a major snow storm that came through. I would rather for someone to take their time to fix my truck and get it right then for someone to fix it fast and do a sloppy job, and your truck will be back in the shop in another week or two. They staff working there was real friendly and cool . They even recommended a hotel for me until I get my truck fix. My truck purrs like a kitten now, and runs better then ever. They are a bit on the slow side. But the quality of work is excellent and I'll go with excellent quality any day

I m very pleased with the overall experience! Kim was the only reason we were able to be seen, as this place is packed to the brim with trucks waiting to be worked on! Got us in the same day, diagnosed the problem and fixed it the next day! They also completed a couple maintenance items I wanted done while it was in there! The prices were higher than I had previously experienced and they even worked with me to get that corrected! A big thank you goes out to Kim, Stephanie and the whole team at Velocity, you guys saved our trip!

My freighter chassis motorhome was towed to Velocity. They told me it was fixed and I drove it 200 miles home. Next trip out the check engine light comes on so I take it to Sacramento Freightliner service center. I was told the problem was that whoever recently repaired it didn't repair it properly. I had to cancel a vacation, pay for extra repair bills and a big hassle because of the poor workmanship.

Mike is the best customer service, my friend s truck broke down in Los Angeles because of bad Fuel two stage valve, I did call 10 dealers but none of them had it. Luckily I try to call Reno Freightliner and they had it. Mike helped me ship the part with overnight shipment. The truck went back to road the next day. Highly recommended this Freightliner dealer and Mike.

Had a really bad experience with their sales department especially Steve . I had a deal with them to buy a used truck , I deposited $5000 check, got my loan approved from crossroads for &130000 as required . And after 4 days later they sent me an email that truck has been sold to someone else. I don t understand , whats the point for holding a truck and pulling out someone s credit if u already have a customer for the same truck. Totally incomprehensible

I have yet to have a good experience. I have to use them due to "freightliner" issues. This last 2 and a half week repair cost me a $730.00 tow bill within 800 miles of the repair. If at all possible I will use any other shop.

My truck derated in Fernley, and my company told me to ease it back to Velocity. I got there Saturday afternoon and was told it would be Monday afternoon before they could look at it.Monday evening, they had finished my truck with a brand new DEF pump, SCR NOX sensor, and a recall done on it. Very impressed to get in and out of a dealer that quick. The ladies in the service department was very courteous too.
