Dave is awesome and has done solid work for me. I did my research first, and Schnepp's was highly recommended with an excellent reputation in the local community. He did an engine swap for me on a truck I purchased and knocked out a laundry list of issues to get it running reliably. I can recommend him for any service you may need. So happy I found this shop!

The most honest mechanic I have ever worked with. Dave doesn't upsell, he does what is needed at a fair price and has unquestionable integrity. When other mechanics quoted me endless repairs and fixes costing thousands of dollars for a check engine light, Dave found the issue immediately and fixed it for $300. 10/10 go to Dave if you have any issues.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I was passing through the Reno area and had some brake problems so I looked up a few local mechanics on google. After first trying a few other places who didn't have any time, one finally referred me to Schnepp's - Dave took a look at the issue as soon as I pulled up and got me back on the road right away. Super nice guy, couldn't have been a better experience!

Dave is great. We needed work done on our truck (bearings) and on a Saturday when he is normally closed. He met us there and did the job so we could get back on the road. We have now been back again for more work when we are in town and will continue to use his shop when we around

Dave and his crew give a new meaning to AWESOME!!! We had found out we were having a bearing issue with our truck on Friday and needed to deliver a trailer from Oregon to Nevada... So we HOPED the truck would make it to Nevada so we called a friend in Reno to ask is she knew of a repair shop and 1 of the places she said was Schnepp's Automotive... SO, I called and spoke to Dave and explained issue with my truck... Of course with MY luck, Dave told me that he would be TECHNICALLY CLOSED on Saturday, BUT he would still be there doing a few other things around the shop... He told me that if I got the truck there he would still work on it even-though they would be closed...Our truck is our livelihood and we can NOT afford to be broke-down ANYWHERE since we are from Houston, Texas... SOOOO, I get the truck to Dave on Saturday morning and he IMMEDIATELY got on it... He confirmed that the bearings needed to be replaced... Dave made his calls for my parts, gave me a GREAT price and had his guy Tony jump right on our truck...As Tony is tearing down our truck he notices that I have a huge crack in my brake pads that would have caused further damage... NOW, Tony could have not said anything, did the bearing and sent me on my way... But with what we do for a living with hauling trailer around the country he wanted to make sure we stayed safe and NOT cause further damage...Being from out of state I am NORMALLY worried about being taken advantage of with my repairs, but I did NOT EVER get that feeling dealing with Dave... I did make calls to some of my NORMAL mechanics and ALL of their prices we a few hundred MORE than what Dave quoted me, so I felt great about coming to Dave... Tony is the man, he had the truck up a running in a few hours, broke down everything he did and replaced... Dave got us lifetime warranties on ALL of our parts from NATIONAL companies... Schnepp's Automotive is now on my list of mechanics that I have around the country...Thank you guys... Thank you for NOT taking advantage of someone being from out of town... Thank you for your HONESTY and understanding... MOST OF ALL, THANK YOU for keeping OUR company in business... Because without you guys coming in on your day off, Interstate Towing & Recovery from Houston, Texas would have been put out of business...Not just recommended or highly recommended, but HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

They great, very friendly and all gentlemen. They fixed the issues that needed to be done so I can pass my smog AND they did it in a reasonably timely manner. I totally recommend them!
