This shop has an amazing amount of integrity. I took my truck in for repairs. Several other shops quoted me $15000 to repair without even seeing the truck. McDiesel wouldn't even talk price without seeing the truck. They ended up finding that the truck didn't need the expensive repairs. By working through a process the final bill ended up at about $2600. Amazing!!

Held my truck for a week to complete all the work needed done it. Turbo replacement with front end components replaced. The work was very well done and pricing was extremely fair. Also a very personable and professional crew working there. Will absolutely come back here for any future needs.

The best diesel mechanic shop I have ever been to. The owner, Robert is a diesel wizard. My 03 dodge broke down 80 miles east of Reno. I had it towed to the Dodge dealer in Fernley. They installed a new lift pump but the truck still would not run. They told me they couldn't diagnose the issue so 55 days later I had it towed to McDiesel. They diagnosed the problem and fixed my truck with no issues. The service writer and front office person is Ryan, she is amazing !! I highly recommend this shop for their knowledge, professionalism and skill. They did an amazing job.Thank you McDiesel!!

I have been dealing with a no start issue when below freezing,this issue has been plaguing me for about 2 years. I threw new glow plugs, block heater, and fuel system parts at the problem with little to no success. Scouring forums and talking with experienced diesel guys the only logical conclusion was an electrical issue.Frustrated, and out of time for the coming winter, I turned to McDiesel as I'd heard great things from friends. Robert and his team took great care of me and my GMC 2500HD.He got my truck in within 5 days of my initial call (we had a weekend in between, and his shop is closed on Fridays so like 2 working days).Turns out the security system/ECM was faulty and cutting fuel.He diagnosed the problem within 2 days (remember that the issue is ONLY when below freezing on a cold start, the first day was a wash). And had my truck back to me after the next weekend once the parts arrived. He also fixed my faulty tow/haul button.Went to pick up the truck when it was 20* outside and she fired right up with no hesitation.Its very rare in today's world to find any mechanics, corporate or independent, that have the knowledge, skill, and integrity that Robert and his team have displayed. He gave me a very very fair price. Kept me informed throughout the process, and gave me options on the fix, and his opinion on what he would do (actively trying to save me money).I would highly recommend that you do business with McDiesel should you have any problems with your truck.

very nice and informative! they were able to get our work truck in the next day when everyone else for diesels were at least a week out! not only did he get it in the next day of calling he also got the truck done the day after! our truck was there not even 48hrs!! def using their services again!

Best diesel shop in town and the most affordable in town. Robert the owner has gone over and beyond for me. He really knows how to work with the costumer. He has an instant messenger phone number that safes your issues for your vehicle and was easy to contact the shop. Thank you so much Robert and your mechanics!

They won t work on my truck anymore, because it s a Ford. Lost my business permanently.Last time I was there he had my truck for over a month for two hours of labor. Was still going to go back but got turned away for driving a Ford.Original:If you re looking for an honest, fair, knowledgeable shop to work on your beloved diesel, you ve found the right place. Excellent work done quickly and professionally, and the best service you ll find. I won t take my truck anywhere else!

Just got my first diesel and needed to replace the fuel filter. Called Robert and left a msg. He called back shortly after and got me scheduled for the next morning. Had my truck back within 2 hours! Very fair price! I experienced exactly what I read in all of the great reviews! This is my go to place from now on!Thanks Robert!

Great service, and all around friendly do to business with. Had Robert do some upgrades to my Duramax and never felt pressured for more than what I needed. Even after the sale, he's easy to get in touch with for questions, and has never made me feel like I was putting him out, even when I know he's busy. Will continue to use McDiesel for any work I need done in the future. Highly recommended!

These guys were so nice! They invested a solid couple of hours looking over the truck I bought, and gave me a really fair price. On top of that, they gave me a lot of options for what needed to be done, and helped prioritize things, without pulling the old "oh no this thing is so broken/dangerous/whatever we can't let you out of here!" or "we are the only ones who can do this for an exorbitant price!" dishonest kind of stuff. I'll definitely be bringing my truck back to them to get the work done as soon as I can.

Brought my Powerstroke in after another shop failed miserably. McDiesel was honest, fixed the issue first time and were very fair in their price. I will be coming back when I need more work done and recommend them now to my friends.

I was from out-of-state and needed help with my Duramax. I didn't know if I would make it home. Others wanted the vehicle for days, which would cost me a fortune. Called McDiesel, and was told to "Bring it right in". Outstanding service, fair pricing, and overall exceptional business. I would recommend McDiesel to anyone needing work on their diesel. 3JUL20 and the Duramax presents the Exhaust Fluid Service alarm. Robert promptly returned my call and got the business truck on the schedule for 10:30a and out by 2p, during my busiest business day of the year!Professional, prompt, friendly and thorough. I highly recommend McDiesel.

I'm from Slc Utah here to move hot tubs in Reno. My 6.0 f350 broke down right when I arrived. I had a week of work and anxious customers. These guys put me at the front of the line (they had 7 trucks ahead of me). I feel bad for cutting in line but found myself in a desperate situation. I am so grateful these guys helped out a complete stranger. In less than four hours they had me fixed and back on the road. What a bunch of great guys and genuinely good people. So thankful and so grateful to mcdiesel. And did I mention they are excellent diesel mechanics. Thanks again guys for taking care of me.

Robert is the most honest mechanic, he could ve easily charged me over 5 grand instead of 2 and I wouldnt have known the difference. He always explained things and he even follows up after the works done.I will never take my truck anywhere else.

Best experience at a auto shop ever. My dodge diesel fuel pump went out, right before the forth of july. And I was in the middle of moving too Washington. They got my truck fixed the next morning, amazing services, thank you

I was on a skiing trip when my 7.3 PS started leading diesel big time. Robert fit me in, fixed me right up. Not easy as it had, of course, stopped leaking at the time I took it to him. He explained everything to me, gave me options and once I picked one, it was done very reasonably. Literally my best experience with a mechanic in years (stay away from Bishop Ca, this problem had been worked on their already,).Do yourself a favor, see mcd for your oil burner maintenance.

The mechanics know what they're doing and the owner is knowledgeable, friendly and willing to help and explain. They have very good prices, especially on their parts. You never feel gouged walking away.

They did a great job doing the head gaskets on our Duramax. Was a bit slow due to it being the holidays, Christmas and New Years, bad timing to start on it, but you do not get a choice of when to start a repair.

They might be good, but I'll never know because they never answered the phone anytime I called and they never returned any of my messages. Business must be too good for them.
