I am very happy with the work these guys have done. I wanted to wait a little while to put this review in just incase the oil started to leak again on my transfer case. It hasn't so they did a good job. I would highly recommend checking them out. I had a transfer case oil leak and they fixed it. Thank you guys for doing a good job. I am happy that there are shops out there that still have quality people who do the job well. I am definitely coming back if I have more things that need fixing in my vehicles.

got my 2006 tacomas U joins and carrier bearing replaced here and they did an excellent job at a great price!will definitely come back for any future drive line work i need done.

They just fix my drive line and bushes they told me a certain price, and when the work was done, I pay 400 less they are so honest I will definitely go back to them. Actually they are going to work on my transfer case.thank youDrive line & gear services ! tom n crew

Brought my CV axle in for the inner and outer CV joints to be put on a longer axle for long travel. They did a super good job, reusing my boots and all. They are fast, affordable and do quality work

Honest shop, does great work for a great price. Took my Dana 44 Axle in for new bearings and seals. They went above and beyond. When I got my axle back, it was sparkling clean and they had tack welded the studs to the retaining plate!

We were from out of town and had a the ujoints go bad in our driveshaft, just as we were about to leave to drive back to Wisconsin. They were able to fit us in and get us back on the road in a couple of hours! They showed us the issue and were super friendly as we sat and waited for our truck. Not a single issue on the way home!Thanks !

I stopped by here the other day to ask about an issue with one of my vehicles. One thing to note was that it was very busy... A good confirmation I was in the right place. They were helpful, didn't try to sell me anything, and gave me solid information for working on my car. If I need help with drive shafts, rear axles and so on, I will definitely come back here!

I was told my driveshaft was impossible to rebuild by multiple other companies, but they said they would give it a try anyways. They spent a day trying to get it to work, and they got a temporary fix. Which got me through until I got my new driveshaft ordered. I really appreciate their efforts and trying when no one else would. These are the GO TO people.

Mistakes happen sometimes, its how you handle them that matters. Got an extensive amount of work done to my driveshafts and front end. They made a really small, understandable mistake on some of the front end work. When I noticed it a few days later, they had me bring in in right away. They owned the mistake, didn't make any excuses and had me fixed up ASAP - since they had to keep my truck overnight, the owner lent me his personal truck for the evening so my schedule wasn't affected.You will never find a shop that doesn't make the occasional mistake - we all do. The reason these guys have been in business for 30 years was how they dealt with me after they had some issues.My 24 year old truck runs and steers like new, smooth, no vibrations. Awesome service, awesome interaction. Don't waste time other places, go to the pros, Ill be going here for all my driveline work from now on.Thank you!

While traveling through Reno we had the center carrier bearing on the drive shaft go out on our Ram 3500 dually. This is what tows our house. They were able to get us in and out in one day without an appointment. They were so nice to us and their fee was extremely reasonable. We were able to be on our way with only a one day delay. Highly recommend this shop.

They guys are excellent!I was not aware that they do many other types of repairs..Tom was able to find me a great deal on tires, and shocks, and they did the install pronto!Great place.. Excellent employees!

Fast service and reasonable prices. These guys shortened a car driveshaft for me and had it ready for pickup in less than 3 hours! It appears their "bread and butter" are big trucks but they take care of little guy, too.

Had my 74 Bronco totally restored by another company and then I had some problems with the transfer case, brakes and drive line. Tom and his crew were amazingly professional, keeping my vehicle inside at night and weekends, and fixed the problems. Kudoos to everyone there and I will take any vehicle that I own to them. The owner made me feel like I was like one of the family.....Thank you Drive Line and Gears....you have a lifelong commitment with me.

Drive line and Gear Service is a bad place to do business if you are just a vehicle owner. The guys behind the counter that seem to be in charge are rude and disrespectful. They are quick to get nasty and let you know you can get lost. They over charge and produce bad quality work and service. I had them build a drive line and had to return it for a rebalance. It actually was not built right and the spline slack was to short. I had to buy a Tom Woods drive line and the one these guys built is sitting in my garage. I'm out over $500 and had nothing but time and trouble dealing with them.

Extremely satisfied. Front and rear driveshafts fit perfectly, less than 24 hours from the time I ordered them to the time I picked them up, No vibrations whatsoever.

1992 F 350 4x4 7.3 idi zf 5; I was in a tight spot time wise, these folks got my drive line squared away pronto for an amazing price, then when I picked it up I ambushed them with a zf 5 and transfer case, they got that done pronto for great price as well. Professional, expedient and fair.

Ram 3500 re-gear. I thought these guys knew what they were doing until the front diff they re-geared destroyed itself the third time I engaged 4WD. I was a thousand miles from their shop, so I had it rebuilt by a another shop. Turns out "Drive Line and Gear" made a rookie mistake putting it together. And they insisted I buy a new carrier, which Mopar later told us was not needed. These guys made me buy unneeded parts and they assembled the differential incorrectly. I got stranded in the mountains and had to have the work done again. I'd like to give them no stars, but have to give at least one to post this review.

Big ups Drive Line & G!!! I was just starting some extensive road tripping when I had issues outside Reno. The U-joints on my drive shaft were bad and needed to be replaced. Every garage I called were booked solid for atleast 1 week. I was about to attempt to do it myself, potentially making a mess out of it when a garage recommended I stop by DriveLine. Guy knew I was on the road, said he was gonna have a small window of time to fit me in, and knocked it out. They were kind and didnt charge me an arm or a leg. Give thanks!!!

First time using this establishment, came highly recommended by Preferred Automotive. Busy place be sure to get an appointment. Tom from Driveline & Gear called me right away and informed me of their diagnosis. I sincerely appreciate his honesty and hope he is correct, so does my wallet.

On vacation found out I had a u joint go bad and ruin my drive line. They not only got me back on the road the same day we were supposed to leave, but helped keep out with some storage when the air bnb wouldnt let us stay an extra hour.Good people, good work, honest price. I owe them a drink next reno trip

Tom and the rest of the crew at Reno Drive Line & Gear make a great team. I took my Xterra in to take care of a rear drive line vibration that, come to find out, is common on Xterra's that are lifted and they built me a new drive in a day!! It completely cured vibration! Thanks for a job well done!!
