4.5 stars. The work done on my truck is great, I understand that gathering parts can take time. Oil cooler leak fixed. Thank you for the repair. After the repair was complete, my truck didn't start. The crew fixed and upheld the warranty on the work. I was back in the road again.

Had a very difficult, ongoing and intermittent electrical issue with the TIPM unit on my 2006 Dodge Ram 3500 5.9 4x4. The Dodge Dealer wouldn't even take that year vehicle in and said "They don't work on that year model". Standard Diesel not only took the truck in, they persistently worked on the issue until it was discovered and resolved ! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND STANDARD DIESEL.

I swear I thought I left a review before, but they deserve many more. They treat you nice, fair priced, they can offer options and work with you on MANY different questions. I personally had something making the worst rattling noise under my car and we combined services to take a look under it during an oil change. They found the problem and fixed it! No hassles, no crazy charges! Did I mention super friendly and experienced? They return calls and emails... What more could you ask for? Sherry will for sure fit you in!

On Memorial Weekend 2020 my Ford F350 took a dump on Hwy 88 while towing my toy hauler. The towing service sent the truck to South Shore Tahoe where the local "4x4 Diesel Expert" told me to pound sand in my stranded state. Fortunately I was rescued by the crew from Sierra Tahoe Ready mix who assisted me with evaluating and transporting my truck to this fine shop. David took immediate concern and control and by the time I was done with the paperwork the truck was rolling into the bay. I believe Shawn performed the work UNDER the estimate and in a short time. This shop was recommended by two locals and I see why. I'm from Sacramento, my son owns a Diesel as well, we will make the 100 mile trip in the future for all our truck service repairs. Standard is the best! Sherrie has great customer service skills. Everyone there is very thorough and care about doing quality work without hurting the customers pockets. I paid 1/3 of the cost from the original shop without ANY ISSUES from this shop. They originally told me they would not be able to work on my F350 7.3 Powerstroke for at least 1.5wks so we dropped off the truck and then I got a call from owner, Dan that they started it early! They started on it about 4 days earlier than they believed they could. Dan (mechanic) is very nice and I believe he specializes in Dodges and Edgar worked on my truck and he is the Ford mechanic. I cannot say enough good things about there mechanics and leadership team. They always made sure to keep us up to date. Edgar even came in on a Saturday when they DON'T usually work..i was completely astonished at how above and beyond this company went! I didn't think these types of shops existed any longer. They are true, consistent, thorough, and reliable. They work on any vehicles..not just diesel also. We will be bringing all our vehicles to Standard Diesel from now on! Thank you Dan (owner/mgr), Dan (mechanic), Edgar (mechanic), and Sherrie (only leading lady! Lol) If I forgot anyone I apologize!

When my onsite service team broke down near South Lake Tahoe, I called Standard and they were able to get us in the next business day, took care of our inoperable turbo, and had us back on the road that same day. The team at Standard saved us from delaying over 20 customers in a 4 state area. Reasonable rates, quality repair! Not much more you can say good about a shop that does what they do. Thanks so much for your help!

Simply the only Mechanics shop I trust in town. Cody and Dan are straight shooters who do good quality work on my rigs. We have been dealing with Dan and Standard Diesel since he first opened his doors. Always have received professional service. Most recent was our Jeep Liberty. Dan had replaced a tired power steering pump and the hoses last June. The high power hose just blew. Dan replaced both hoses, gratis. Incredible Trustworthy Service. Took my truck in expecting to replace expensive part of engine, they called me, found a wire which had been broken, fixed it and saved me over $400.00 . Very honest People.

Good people and service. I've taken my 6.0 and my 7.3 and they've figured out the issues and fixed them. Will take my truck to standard diesel for all future work.

This place is the awesome, i had a problem last week called them on Monday took me in without an appointment on Tuesday estimate on Wednesday done Thursday. Can't go wrong with them .
