James at Silver Star Automotive is absolutely superb!!! I cant begin to say how much he has helped us over the last two years. His work is excellent, affordable, and timely. I wouldn't even begin to entertain taking my vehicles anywhere else. I've recommended SSA to several friends and they all have had the same experience. I always have a good experience at Silver Star Auto motive as my car is very important to me and I know if I take it to Silverstar it will be taken care of properly.James is a pleasure and the person that I work with the most, but anytime anyone else has taken care of my car, they are always friendly and I know it will be in good hands.

I've been looking for a trustworthy, competent shop to take my older Dodge truck in for repairs. I found Silver Star on Yelp and liked what i saw. I received several quotes to get the shocks replaced on my truck and Silver Star was on the low end. In short, I received great service and the truck rides like it's new. I would trust James with any repair or maintenance on any vehicle. He has worked with race teams for much of his career so you know he is highly skilled. Also, thank your for taking precautions to keep your customer's safe during the pandemic!

Need a mechanic? Look no further, James is the BEST! We first called James when we needed a mobile mechanic and were so impressed with his knowledge, professionalism and honesty we wouldn't think of going anywhere else! He has worked on our collector 38 Chevy Coupe and serviced our newer cars too.

As we passed through Carson Valley in our way home to TX we had James look at a suspension issue we were having on our motorhome. He did everything humanly possible to resolve the problem short of having to order new parts, which wouldn't work because of our travel schedule. James is a very courteous, fair and professional and I would highly recommend his shop for your vehicle repairs.

In preparation for a cross country trip, I wanted to make sure my Prius was in good condition for the long haul. I made an appointment 1 day ahead, and James was very accommodating of my schedule. He evaluated my car for 30 minutes and didn't charge me anything or try to sell me anything. 10/10 would recommend.

James is exceptional on EVERY level. Called, him in a panic, as there has been a horrible clunk noise with the car. It has been that way since purchasing it. (That is a whole other story) James could tell I was in distress. ( we do not have public transportation in our small town). Being in stage 4 congestive heart failure,& having a severe neurological disease, without transportation ,don't know what i will do for doctor appointments and infusions?!All i can say is God knows what we need and when we need it. He put James in my path to help. Divine intervention for sure! While I do not have the funds to fix the car, as am disabled, am grateful I didn't break down on the hiway somewhere. (How can people sell a car to someone, let alone a disabled person knowing it is broken? And how could I be so DUMB as to trust a stranger and take their word on a big purchase?! Don't know what i am going to do? Regardless, I was blessed to meet an incredibly kind, caring and honest personin James! Thankyou James!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I have a 2006 Jeep Commander which developed a major power steering leak. Silver Star Automotive was able to find a rack and pinion, got my Jeep up and pulled apart when every other garage said it would be a week out before they could locate the part and then gave me an over inflated quote.Silver Star Automotive thank you!!
