Went here off a recommendation from the tow company that helped me, the Staff was friendly and helpful and they have an awesome waiting area with couches and board games BUT they WAY overcharged us. Called around to a bunch of other shops in the area after I got back home and the highest quote, parts and labor, was OVER $200 LESS than what we were charged here. They made it sound like they were staying after hours and all that just to help us so we wouldn t be stranded in billings but we were done and out of there before the closing time listed on google. Won t go back.

I recently was passing through Montana when my front wheel came off at 2 in the morning. The tow truck driver Doug recommended JB Automotive for my repairs. He actually called the owner at 2 am and they answered their phone. The next morning they were on my truck and got me back on the road by 4 pm. Awesome people,awesome service 100% recommend. Thank you very much!

AAA recommended, but can t figure out why. Had to re-tow my car to a place that can actually call me when they say they re going to. This worthless shop took two days and never called me or even took a two second glance at my car. Even the tow truck driver said they were unnecessarily rude to him. Don t waste your time or money.

These guys are amazing I got home from a trip yesterday my car wouldn t start had it towed there late last night and they were done with it by 11 today without even having to schedule an appointment! Fair pricing and friendly service!!Service: Engine repairService: Engine repair

We were on our way home to Chicago after a long road trip. Our car started overheating and leaking fuel. We tried three other places before calling JBs. They squeezed us in at 3:00 on a Friday. Really nice folks with a super sweet dog as well greeting us at the door. We went to dinner and two hours later we were back on the road. Super grateful for their help.

When picking up my husband from work, the front brakes gave out and we thought we would be stranded as most automotive businesses were already closed. By luck we found this place and slowly drove there. Although they were about to close, they took the time to quickly diagnose the issue on our F150. They wouldn t be able to fix it until the next day, so they went above and beyond and booked us a rental and Kayli even took us to pick up the rental. They fixed our truck the next day at a very affordable price. Great service all around by good folks!

Awesome shop! I am new to town and have a Range Rover that needed some work...you never know where to bring these things and I am always skeptical of shops knowing how to work on them, but the folks over at JB really know what they are doing! Fair pricing, quick turn around time and super friendly people! I won't bring my rigs anywhere else now! Highly recommend!

My cars clutch blew up. They got me in the next day so I didn't miss my best friends wedding that I had to travel for! Excellent customer service, good prices.... I recommend them to anyone! Did great work on my car too...

Many thanks to John, Kaylee, the mechanics, and staff at JB Automotive. I was stranded with a broke transmission and drivr-shaft. They all went above and beyond to insure a safe trip home for me. Bad things were happening with my car. Hit any speed over 55 and it felt like it was going to shake apart. Took it in and explained what was wrong and they had me back up and running the next afternoon. When we picked up my car and we just dropped of my wife's Durango as it was about to throw the fan through the radiator when we pulled up. We left it overnight in the shop and had it back the next afternoon as well. Hard to beat that kind of service in this day and age!!!! Overall - fantastic

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE! first off I smelled hard alcohol on employees breath!! Then sat there for over 2 hours waiting for them to tell me a ABNORMALLY HIGH amount for some very basic service that other shops I had called after told me they'd do for less than half the price!!! Then to top it off I found that upon leaving they had STOLEN all of my change I had in the center console!!! In which they quickly denied of course!!! I mean, if you're gonna steal change at least do it no chalant and leave a little so it's not noticed, but they actually stole EVERY CENT!!! DEFINITELY AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!!

My son's truck was towed in off the interstate with a blown transmission. They gave us 2 different quotes for both a used and a rebuilt transmission. Told my son they went over the truck and the only other thing it needed was shocks.My son got back to Bozeman went to Walmart to have the oil changed and the tires rotated, only to be told by the manager at Walmart that they wouldn't even attempt to put the truck on the rack as the frame was cracked to within an inch of completely breaking. If it was up to him the truck wouldn't leave Walmarts parking lot. He took it to a welding shop and they gave him even worse news, the rear cross member wasn't even attached to the frame it had sheared off completely. they also told him they would like for him to leave the truck and not to drive it.JB Auto, put my son in a vehicle that shouldn't have left their shop, if the frame had completely broke going down the highway at 85 mph, my son would have been killed.They charged us $2500 for parts and labor to put a transmission on a vehicle that they never should have left their shop. There is no way they couldn't have known the frame was it the shape it was in.

Broke down 20 miles outside Billings. Everyone put forth great effort to get me back on the road. Fast, friendly and reasonably. I was so thankful for this company and the staff. What a great group of people. I highly recommend.
