Pulled in here today with no appointment on a busy Friday afternoon. Our refer will not switch over to gas and we're waiting on a part. Then our generator goes out. We may lose everything in the freezer and fridge. They can't work on our rig and are booked out 6 to 8 weeks. All the camp grounds around here are full. We asked Will, the service manager, to take us in for the night and let us plug into his power. They don't usually do that as he only has one 50 amp service and its the one he uses for his shop. But he checked the work inside and took mercy on us letting us stay the night here. We have an appointment to get our repairs done here in September. My husband asked if he could squeeze us in and he said he was so backed up that he just couldn't. This guy is a real stand up , honest person and before he has even worked on our motor home I know we're in a good place.8 weeks later: We arrived for our generator to be repaired and were given great service right on time and again treated very well by Rocky and Talis. Thank you for the repair and great service. Jim and Pam Youker

The reason for going to Cummins was to find out why our truck lacked power in the lower gears. In 15 minutes we got a diagnosis, the turbo actuator was bad. A little more than we thought but it had to be fixed. The price was fair, the techs are very knowledgeable and the staff very friendly. The job was done quickly and efficiently. Thank you Cummins, Billings, MT.

Went in with a check engine light on our allegro open road red. They found a plugged EGR passage. Further found a cracked compressor line and fixed that. Tech Blayne and service manager Rocky were excellent. We were kept informed and were very pleased with Cummins in Billings.

Absolutely awesome place. Had a warped exhaust manifold on the rv. We were scheduled a few days after calling and they fixed it in one day. That was the biggest thing for us being full time rv'ers. Difference between here and a small shop is tje extra work. Turbo system and exhaust were pressure checked to assure it was done right. 5.9 cummins, $1,300 bill. Worth every penny.*Update* Although they worked very hard to get me in and out, that doesn't make up for the fact the repair wasn't completed correct. Two days later the manifold leaked again. Another cummins dealer in Cut Bank MT squeezed us in and found that Billings shop never cleaned the head before putting on new gaskets.

Took our 40 coach in for a problem with engine overheating in June 2019. They replaced the turbosensor, EGR valve, belts, thermostat, antifreeze, they took the radiator out had it sent to a shop to be redone. We picked it up when they were done, got 25 away from the shop and antifreeze poured out all over the ground. Come to find out the tech broke the lower radiator clamp. 300 miles away started overheating again. Called Cummins in Billings and they said we didn t bring it in for an overheating problem but yet they charged us $5000 to fix the overheating problem. Took it into freightliner in Bozeman and found it was the clutch fan! Stay away from Billings Cummins!

Took my motorhome into Cummins in Billings to check on a loud whistle coming from the engine. Problem was determined to be a warped exhaust manifold, gasket, and cooler. After 3 days the coach was returned to me repaired. I left Billings and drove to South Dakota. When we arrived in SD we notice the engine cover in the bedroom was not installed correctly and the cover was raised up enough to let exhaust/dirt from the engine to get into the motorhome. We taped the cover down and drove to Normal IL where the Cummins service center found that the previous technician tried to install the engine cover over one broken bolt which caused the cover to not install completely. The technician in Normal removed the broken screw with his fingers and installed a new screw which locked down the cover exactly as it should be. Very poor or lazy work by the Billings technician. The next day the engine whistling started again. I made an appointment in Buffalo, NY Cummins. They diagnosed the problem as a bolt missing on the turbo mounting bracket, the turbo mounting gasket was leaking and possibly another exhaust leak coming from the manifold, and a clamp on a hose was loose. They replaced the turbo bolt and tightened the clamp on the hose but were too busy to make all repairs and they recommended we go to Syracuse Cummins for repairs. At Cummins in Syracuse they also found the turbo mounting gasket was causing the exhaust leak. The technician in Syracuse did a good job making repairs and we were on our way in one day without any additional expense to me.This is our 2nd motorhome with a Cummins engine and we would not have any other engine, if possible, however service like we received in Billings certainly does not encourage me to buy another coach with a Cummins engine. Fortunately all our follow up contacts with other Cummins service centers were good and what I would expect from Cummins.I am sorry the service in Billings was so poor because they did a good job until that point. They kept me informed as repairs were made, they met the schedule they told us, and were generally very friendly and helpful. If you need service from Cummins in Billings I would recommend you make sure things are done right before you leave the facility.

Had been having a problem, for the last 2,000 miles with intermittent, irregular puffs of smoke from the Cummins 5.9 ISB in our motorhome. 1,400 miles prior I had it checked by what seemed a knowledgeable diesel shop in Flagstaff, AZ. Their diagnoses indicated nothing wrong. Problem got progressively worse. With 45,000 miles on Mr. Motor I dropped in on Rocky Mountain Cummins, Billings, MT, unannounced @ 07:00MDT on 8/28/2015. The Service Coordinator took down my information and had a technician quickly diagnose the problem as a bad fuel injector. Then the Service Coordinator, Karla, worked diligently and competently with my extended warranty insurance provider to help me get a significant reimbursement. Technician Scott was very competent and went the extra mile to get us back on the road same day. Cummins has a top of the list hourly rate but I left feeling like me and my insurance company hit the road again with a high level of confidence in the work performed and got our money s worth.

Wow what can I say about Rocky Moutain Cummins.I came in at noon with a loss of power and overheating in my ISX15. I got there about 11am and right away they hooked up my truck and pulled the codes within 15 minutes of me being there. I left my truck there and I told them I had an oversize load that has escorts and everything lined up for Friday morning. I had my truck back by 3pm Thursday the day after I dropped it off and it was running 100% better with no issues. Ive brought my truck to the kenworth dealer next door and have had my truck sit there for 2 weeks with the same amount of issues! If I ever have any more engine related issues with my ISX I will be going straight to Rocky Mountain Cummins.

Review for parts and service department: We shredded the serpentine belt in our RV coming down from Havre, MT. We called and went to several places trying to find the correct fanbelt. The folks here were extremely knowledgable and helpful and even drew us a diagram on how to put in the serpentine belt. Turns out, the two different ones we bought were too big, and he told us the correct size to get. He was absolutely correct and we are finally back on the road to Denver. We definitely don't get service like that in Denver, so the extra effort he put into helping us out is very appreciated. Thanks Rocky Mountian Cummings, for getting us back on the road home to Denver, Colorado.

It's dealer so you know the moment you walk in they are going to give you the shaft any way they can. Be very aware of that before entering this or any Dealer establishment!!
