Incredible Owners. Whoever has not given them a good review is crazy! I brought my F-250 diesel to them for a 2nd opinion. Certified Transmission in Overland Park told me it has catastrophic transmission failure and needed an $11k replacement transmission. The truck still drove good, it just had intermittent issues when it was cold, but drove fine once it warmed up. Midwest Transmission had my truck for several days. They agreed that it did not appear to be transmission failure. They thought it was something simple causing the issue. The entire staff and especially the front office woman at Midwest Transmission worked together and researched to figure out the issue. She spent countless hours looking at Ford Transmission issue blogs and websites and came across a posting with exactly the same issue. Turns out it was an aftermarket transmission filter with a rubber gasket that was loose and allowed air to pass through. They replaced the transmission filter with an Motocraft filter and changed the transmission fluid, all for $205.00 (very inexpensive). The problem was fixed. Saved me $11K. Had it not been for the extra effort that Midwest Transmission gave on this small repair, I would have lost thousands of dollars! Nobody else would have given so much time to find the little problem creating this big issue. Customer for life!

These guys did a great job on my transmission at a good price, but my car was misfiring when I got it back. Startup was flawless before I left it with them. The nice lady said my car would take a few days to self-adjust from having the battery disconnected. One week later still same issue. Nice lady offered me to drop off vehicle for the day. Not a good option, especially when she told me they specialize in transmission not anything else, so they maybe can t fix it. I got it fixed myself with minimal down time and guarantee of repair. So, far my transmission is still running great but having to pay additional $$$ after you had a costly repair sucks!Service: Transmission

Best place in Kansas city to get transmission work done. As long as Betty is there that's where I'll go. Went to somewhere else and they were about to give me the wrong transmission thank you midwest for everything

Took our Yukon in and they thought it was the differential , approved the work but when it came time to replace they discovered that it was a nut had fallen off a bolt and the axel was hitting on the bolt. Saved us big money. So honest, they could have changed out the differential and charged us the price tag, but they did the honest thing. We have used them for many years and recommend them to anyone looking for an honest shop. Thank you to this family owned shop for holding up American values.Service: Transmission

Worst experience of my life. They have terrible communication skills. My car was there for almost 2 months. They never called to say why. Extremely rude. I will tell everyone I know about this experience too! Word of mouth advertising is amazing

We took our van in for what we thought was a major transmission repair, and it turns out not to be any big deal... one of the CV joints needed to be replaced. I was very pleased with the price, and their service was very good. They could have been unethical and really bent us over, but they didn't do that...they just fixed what needed to be fixed. Will definitely go there again!

Debbie was phenomenal! I knew I needed transmission service and was dreading hearing the total cost. This place was very affordable ( I'm not just saying that) single mother of three still had money left after my repair. I would highly recommend this place!

Ummm... Thank God my longtime friend recommended these folks. They made it possible for me to get my work truck back on the road. If I ever have another transmission problem I wont even consider anywhere else. These folks put my trust back in a mechanic shop. Go to them or take a chance on being another victim story somewhere is how I truly feel.

Hard to get to. Paid $40 for what I could have got done for free. They estimated over 700 dollars in repairs. Stated I had a major leak, I didn't have one at all. I had over 143 gas miles when i droped it off, when i picked it up i had less then 75. First time they called I had to repeat to them what the problem was because they couldn't find one. the second time they called I had "costly" repairs that didnt have nothing to do with the transmission.

They gave me the lowest estimate of the 5 places I called. Went with them, and very happy I did. They did an awesome job! Also had it done sooner than the other shops quoted me.

Took my 2008 Chrysler Town & Country here because Raytown Transmission closed. The vehicle has 125k miles, so I wanted to transmission fluid changed and serviced. When I picked it up, they stated there were a lot of leaks (radiator fluid, oil, power steering). I found this curious because I just had the oil changed a week prior and no reports of leaking oil. I've also driven this vehicle about 100 miles a day for four to five weeks and no overheating problem. After Midwest Transmission touched my car, I couldn't drive it the 4 miles home without it overheating. I immediately called them when I got home and asked what they did and why they think it would NOW start overheating. They said it was a coincidence. Some coincidence since I've been putting so many miles on this car. My recommendation, don't let Midwest transmission touch your car, don't let them look at your, don't even let them know you have a car.

We had taken our Honda Odyssey to Midwest Transmission in 2012 to get the transmission replaced. I purchased the 3-year/50,000 mile warranty for the transmission. However just under 3 years but over 50,000 miles there was a problem with the solenoid within the transmission. I am SO thankful for Patrick and the people at Midwest Transmission who worked with the company who supplied the warranty/transmission (not sure which) to have the work covered! As my wife and I are working to get me through school and money being very tight, I am forever grateful for their work and their kindness! They didn't have to do that at all! I would HIGHLY recommend taking your vehicle to the people at Midwest Transmission!

Five years ago got my truck transmission rebuilt here. Great experience, price etc. They really do a good job. Been pulling trailers with this truck for the five years since and it still shifts very well.

Took car to this place they took 2 weeks just to even look at it and then go to see what was the problem with the transmission it was worse after we picked it up and don't even bother to check the transmission fluid in it or put any in it will never in life recommend this place ever. Poor service!!!!!!!!

Have know Robert and Debbie for over 30 year's have had many transmissions repaired here and have put anywhere from 150 thousand miles to over a million miles without any problems on them after they rebuilt them.They are the only ones that I will have work on my transmissions or refer anyone to!!
