Great Place to stay and float. Cabins were comfortable and clean. Shower house/bathrooms were nice and clean. Large property to walk around with a large pool to swim in. Sand volleyball and play area for small children. Owner was friendly and helpful. They shuttle you to river and back. Overall a great place to camp and float.Playground: Fun pirate ship for kids to play on. Volleyball court has sand toys to play with also.Restrooms: Shower house close to cabins. 4 shower stalls and 4 bathrooms in womans side.Dog-friendliness: No dogs in cabins but camp sites are dog friendly.Picnic area: Each cabin has a picnic table and a burn pit.

Great cabins with comfortable beds. The bathrooms are super clean. It was an awesome experience. Can t wait to come back when the pool is open.

Great value for the price you pay!! Pool was nice to have, but wasn't the cleanest. The pirate ship was perfect for the kids to play on. However, I would highly recommend putting a caution/slow speed sign up for cars traveling by. Not safe at all for kiddos!!!!!!

Friendly atmosphere, clean bathroom/showers, awesome pool. Owner and staff we very friendly and accommodating.We played sand volleyball, floated, and lounged in the pool.Pretty blown away with how clean the shower house was, and the size of it. We combined two camp sites for a family adventure with my brothers family. Short walk to the office/store, bathrooms, and they even have porta potty s spaced through out.Cabins looked awesome, but they book quick and we were too late, so we booked the family tent spots. Had water and electric at the sites, and of course fire rings. We forgot plenty of stuff we wish we had, and the store had everything we needed (ice, s mores, and bug spray.If you are looking for a laid back atmosphere, on an easy to navigate campground, book here!

This camp ground is beautiful. We stayed here the first weekend the place was under new management, and they did a great job. Bathrooms and common areas are clean, and our kids loved the playground. I definitely recommend this site.

Excellent campground and float trip!The grounds are spread out with plenty of shade. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The bathrooms were very clean. The showers were clean, hot, and had plenty of pressure! Highly recommended checking them out!

Our float was a ton of fun and the property managers, drivers, store folks were awesome, friendly and anything we needed- was quite refreshing. The cabin we stayed in was the perfect size, very clean and just what we needed. Our next trip is already planned and with a bigger group so we ll check out tent camping then, but looks great and spacious. The rafts were in great shape and the float itself was just right, not too slow, but plenty of time to party and enjoy several beverages. Highly recommend them!

Spent a night here this past weekend after spending the day at Johnson's Shut Ins and we had a great time, but definitely beware when booking here! We stayed in the loud area in the back, and it was us and one other group of campers. One of the sites that we booked (403) was SO small and full of rocks and no good spot to put a tent at all. Thankfully since there was no other reservations, the office let us switch spots to have 405 as well - this is definitely the best site back there as it had nice spots for tents and actual grass as opposted to dirt/leaves. The spots back there were extremely close together, if they were booked up everyone would've been completely on top of each other. So if you are looking here, I would recommend it if there are minimal other reservations, but if it looks booked up then I would avoid it. I can't speak to the family area or the cabins as we just drove by on our way in.Bathrooms were super clean, however they are very far from the loud area so we mostly used the porta potty that was directly in front of our site. Didn't use the pool but it looked fun and nice!Beware of ticks! They were all over us.

Our group of 5 had a wonderful time. They had clean restrooms, the pool was awesome nice and clean. It's under New Ownership and new managemen. They have a really nice store. The cabin we was in, was roomy and the beds were very comfortable, slept great. We will be back. They have a play ground that looks like a pirate ship for the children to play on. You can also go kayaking, river rafting that sits 2 to 10 people. They are constantly working on the grounds and improving all the accommodations. Thanks for a wonderful time.

My group rented the whole campground for a private weekend and the process was smooth and easy. Deer Creek staff took great care of us and kept the place sparkling clean. The pool is EXCELLENT, the campgrounds are massive and well kept, and the cabins are comfortable and well-appointed. The float trip was well-managed and we had a blast. Highly recommend, zero complaints!

We enjoyed our camping weekend. The pool was welcome. While the weather was cool the pool was clean and refreshing. The shower area was well maintained and met our needs. Not on the water but a short bus ride away. That really wasn t a problem. Everyone was helpful if questions came up. Cabin was comfortable. (So nice to have air conditioning when you are roughing it). Would highly recommend this campground and we will be returning.

This was THE WORST Campground I've ever been to $312 for 4 people for 2 night with a 6 man raft!!!!!!. 1. Laurie told me the price was $155 6 man raft & $20 for up to 8 ppl to camp per night (we had 4), at the time I was so excited I found a place that wasn't booked I didn't even realize $312 was way overcharged...She stated she told me "$20 per night +$12 per person per night"...!!! 2. As we arrived to the campsite, it was complete rock & the sites were horrible!!! There wasn't even a grill over the fireplace to cook on. 3. The office was never open, I had to go knock on a door (seemed like someone's apt) to address the issue, the day of float the office was again closed until @ 10 min before we loaded...Addressing the issue was a joke, they offered to move us to the "GRASSY AREA" at no charge, WHY we're we not put over there in the 1st place?? They could not answer me & was extremely rude. I requested a refund if we could fund another Campground near (needing to confirm it with the person I was with because we already started unloading) & as I'm sure they knew that all were booked as we did they did agree to one HOWEVER All OTHER CAMPGROUNDS WERE BOOKED SO WE WERE STUCK, so I asked if just out of courtesy SINCE WE HAD TO GO BUY A GRILL TO COOK ON if they would give us a couple bags of ice & planks of wood, his response was "No, we haven't done anything wrong, you should viewed the website first"....I will never return & hope you don't experience this GO ELSEWHERE...

Charged my daughters group $400 for being 11 mins late to the bus for pickup. I get it, it s a rule. But I also get you were a complete jerk when they got to the bus. Poor customer service after family spent $1000+ to stay a weekend there for a family fun birthday. If 11 mins breaks your day and makes you that miserable then maybe you shouldn t deal with people because you are a CRAB!

The campground was beautiful. The staff were really awesome. I definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for a campground. The only knock I have on this campground, and it's not their fault, is that the river isn't close enough to it. It would have been awesome to go play in the river while we were there, but they do have an open pool. Also, they were very accommodating to our large group getting flooded out due to the rain. 10/10 I'll be back.

Tons of fun, great setup, campgrounds were roomy, plenty of space to party and have a good time without being interrupted or pestered by neighbors. The float itself was great. Rafts were awesome, drive there was fun and the pickup was simple and quick. Owners were great as well. Will definitely be back again!

When we got there on Friday one of the staff members Jeremy greeted us by the office and we also got complimentary fire wood. He was so nice and pleasant and very accommodating. The bath house was very clean and had hot water. Very nice campground and very quiet. I recommend this camp ground to anyone..

If you are pulling a camper, do NOT go to this campground. I drive a 3/4 ton with a 31' bumper pull camper, we could barely make it down the road to get to the campground. Then when we got there the circle turn-around the office was too tight and I grazed the fence. We were put at campsite #3, which was horrid to try to back into. I have never seen a campground laid out so poorly. When I was finally able to get the camper backed in, the electric and water hook-ups were on the passenger side, so my hose was not long enough to reach the front of the camper on the driver side. Also, this campground does NOT have Black River access, you have to drive 2 miles or so, and use the public access. When we went to leave I had to put the truck in 4WD Low to make it out of the road and it is a miracle that one of the trailer wheels didn't jump into the ditch.Their pool was really nice and the pirate ship playground was really cute. But overall, one star! It was $50/night and somehow it was $14 for a small bag of wood and one Monster Energy drink, and I never found their dumping station. And even if I had I wouldn't have used it, the campground must of been designed by someone who had never pulled a camper before, it was horrible. We will NOT be back. Like I said before, if you are pulling anything this is NOT the campground for you!!

We had a great weekend at Deer Creek! The beautiful pool was a huge plus! Didnt float due to weather so the pool and gorgeous scenery made everything nice. Also the cabins are all you ever need with a mini fridge, microwave, fire pit, and comfy beds. I highly recommend checking this gem out!

The new ownership has this place so accommodating and clean. The cabin was clean and spacious. It was just right for me and my 3 kiddos. The ac worked great and the outdoor space was awesome. We could have brought our hammock and toed it between some of the trees in our yard there. The store and showerhouse was super clean and staff was top notch. Everyone was so sweet and kind. The pool was spotless, the busride was fun and the rafts were awesome. The river was gorgeous . My favorite part though had to be there beautiful family that owns the place now. The little dude is a real go getter and the whole family is sweet as can be. I loved this place. The whole family will definitely be vack.

We had an awesome time on our trip. The family loved the pool and we had waaaaay too much fun on the float. Clean restrooms were a great feature for the ladies. Even tho the site wasn t directly on the river the bus ride was smooth and convenient.

We stayed in a camping cabin this past weekend 6/3-6/5. We had a great time. Cabins and bathrooms were super clean and we had a fantastic black river float. Dustin and the rest of the crew at the cpgrounds were great. We will definitely camp and float here again and I highly recommend it!!

What a great stay at Deer Creek! The pool was nice, camper sites were spacious and everything is so clean and new. This place is under new ownership so I would disregard negative comments from years past. We will definitely be going back. Perfect place to get outside and camp!

Great campground under new management. Nice cabins with a mini-fridge, microwave and AC! Pool is very nice and a welcome amenity. Bathrooms and showers are clean. Highly recommended for you next float or camp-out!

Had an amazing time at Deer Creek Campgrounds. Everything was nice, clean and the pool was a plus. Definitely noticed it was under new management. Staff was amazing. Highly recommend and you should book for your next camping/floating adventure!

Had a perfect weekend except for a little sunburn. But the swimming pool and cold beer made the pain go away after the float. Never been much for camping so the clean little cabin and amenities really filled the bill. Extra bonus it is so close to Lesterville that a cool little bar with great food is just minutes away.

We truely enjoyed Deer Creek Campgrounds! The Cabins were great and clean with many amenities. The Giant Pool was crystal clear. The friendly staff was very helpful throughout our stay and took all the guess work out of floating the crystal clear Black River. Im looking forward to their upcoming events.

Really I wanted do 4.5, but google won't let me. I loved that my group was able to camp away from the family area and was able to be a little louder without worry. Camping on the dry river bed wasn't nearly as bad as I anticipated. The float was great, the quality of the float supplies and campground were nice. I only ding half a star because I felt the general attitude of the owners wasn't very inviting (maybe a tough weekend?) And the pool wasn't clean so I didn't want to swim in it( I suspect the filter was struggling with the surrounding trees). I would still return and recommend this place.

Great time floating at Deer Creek.After the great float trip we came back to campground and jumped in an amazingly crystal clear in-ground swimming pool.
