Been coming here to see John for years. Always takes good care of me. John doesn t cut corners, he always does what is right for the customer & their vehicle. He s willing to educate you about anything you want to learn too!

Charge me for parts that labor that wasn't put on my truck. Try to sell me 2 new tires that I did not need, old tires had 90% thread wear. Two lug nuts on rear tire was loose.

Just reiterating a number of reviews that have already been left about the lack of courtesy from whoever answers the phone.It sounds to me like they re doing fine, don t need your new business, and are generally inconvenienced by your attempt to seek their services. I won t bother again, and if you re shopping, I d encourage you to do the same.

Great shop with up to date equipment. Honest and upfront about what your car needs VS what can be put off for a while longer. Not out to take your money, just fix your car at a price thats fair. And they do pretty much ANYTHING.

Called today to see if they do nitrogen tire fills. The easy answer would ve been no. But, believe it was John went above and beyond giving me the information and advice I needed. That is excellent not just customer service but being a good person. I would definitely use this shop when I have future needs or recommend them to someone looking for an honest shop.

We use NKC Brake for service on all of our work vehicles. Always great prices and quick turnaround times on repairs. Definitely recommend them to whoever is looking for good honest service.

Got quotes 400-600 for changing break pads. When I asked why so high, the hung up on me. When I called back he asked me well what do you want to pay? . Instead of explaining why the service was so high, he just told me why don t you go somewhere else and see if you even need brakes..... isn t this a place that services breaks? Never really dealt with someone that rude but I m going to assume he was having a bad day.

The price quoted over the phone was the price I was charged. That never happens. They took the time to explain to me exactly what they did to help me understand the process. My 75 Chevelle Malibu runs better then ever down the HWY. Thanks NKC Break.

Highly recommend this place! They are knowledgable, honest, and get the job done right! Trusting auto shops nowadays is a daunting task, but I feel very comfortable going here and I've never had issues with them answering questions over the phone.

I just got off the phone with John & I can tell you one thing... I will never take my car here or encourage anyone else to after our conversation. His customer service was terrible. He had an attitude from the very start & made sexist comments to me as if I didn t know my car well enough to answer questions about it in order for me to get a quote from him. I ve called several mechanics today to get quotes & no one... NOT ONE... has told me that they couldn t give me a quote over the phone due to my inability to answer the proper questions about my car. He told me I would have to drive my car, that needs to be repaired, to him so he can see for himself what the quote would be.John: I can t give you a quote over the phone. Me: Why? John: Because I m going to start asking you questions about your car & you re going to tell me that you don t know! Seriously? This is the kind of person you have answering your phones at this shop? I responded...Me: How do you know that I won t know how to answer your questions? Try me! John: Is it a 4 cylinder or V6? Me: 4 cylinder! John: There s multiple engine sizes for your year. Me: I have a 1.8 engine! John: Well, do you have a coup or a sedan? Me: A sedan! Anything else? John: Let me check to see what the quote would be then. YEAH!!! I thought so!!! If I was a man.... he would have never insulted my intelligence in that way! I know my own vehicle & to assume I don t & that I cant answer simple questions about it because I m a girl is BS. He would NOT have talked to a man that way & I have no doubt about that! This woman knows her car & can answer questions about it! Maybe next time when a WOMAN, not a girl, calls your place of business... you talk to her like you have some sense & not give them an attitude from Hello like she s bothering you with her silly questions! SMH! Unbelievable!

I have had many cars and trucks repaired at North Kansas City Brake over 20+ years and have always been pleased with their work. John is an honest repairman who runs a great shop.

Made an appointment using their website. Got to the shop and told them this. The man looked at me funny and said that what telephones are for. Will not come back. Good luck staying in business.

The alignment was not good and he made excuses about how it couldn't be fixed, but another repair shop was able to fix it. Bob just wasn't honest.
