Quick turnaround of project (and reasonable cost); was the ONLY one of several machine shops in the KC area willing to/knowledgeable enough to take on my task. Was turned away by 5 or 6 before I was referred to Layne's. Long time business and they clearly know what they are doing, and a small mom and pop shop feel which is always rewarding. Will be taking any future machining/welding projects their way in the future.

Been using Layne machine shop for over 30yrs, for both heavy industrial needs,"crane parts that took 6months to get from across the pond," and 4 wheel drive parts that require to be special made, or hot rod parts that they could fab up cheaper an better quality than I could buy. I would recommend them for any job you have an count on it being better than you need! Bobby an the gang are the best at what they do!

Needed a bearing race removed from my 1951 8N tractor steering column. I arrived late in the day, 4:35, and they close at 5:00. They stopped what they were doing and solved my bearing race issue immediately! THANK YOU! I will surely use them again!

Knew exactly what needed to be done, had the equipment to do it, was able to do it walk in, no appointment. In and out in 10 minutes after being told by other shops the fix we needed wasn't possible or would be temporary. Friendly, to the point, honest, and fair. Genuinely impressed and grateful.
